Clinton loans herself $5 million
NEW YORK (CNN) — Democrat Hillary Clinton loaned her presidential campaign $5 million in January, the New York senator said Wednesday.
"I loaned the campaign $5 million dollars from my money," she said at a press conference at her Arlington, Virginia headquarters. "I loaned it because I believe in this campaign and I think the results last night proved the wisdom of my investment."
Earlier Wednesday, Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson confirmed reports Clinton had lent her campaign money in January, and said "The loan illustrates Sen. Clinton's commitment to this effort and to ensuring that our campaign has the resources it needs to compete and win across this nation."

Okay, let up on Senator Clinton. We commend her honest, diligence and devotion to becoming our next President. She doesn't need Oprah or the Kennedy's money to earn votes. She has earned votes on her own merit and years of service.
Mr. Obama does not deserve the honor of the Presidency, he hasn't even begun a trip around the block yet. The Republicans are going to have a barbeque with him. Take off your blinders people. The man is great at speeches-that is all. Just think about it: If he "wins", we lose. The Republicans will rule for another 8 years..
God Bless Senator Clinton for her hard work. Yes, she will continue to get our support and donations. She will become our next President.

obama's crowd is so nasty and negative. what is it about him that attracts that sort of person? it very negatively affects my thoughts about him. hillary's supporters might vote for him if he were nominated because they are open-minded, thoughtful, and intelligent, and know he would be a good second choice. his supporters can't see her many virtues? that's sad.
so...you can buy yourself a shot at presidency. nice message. all the spin in the world can't fix how broke (and broken) Hillary's actions are.

Well that's $5 million less for Hillary to spend in her "retired" years. Hooray Hill, keep "loaning" youself all kinds of money you won't ever see again. Obama is the people's choice. Hillary, why don't you and your stinkin' husband go live in one of the foreign countries that is supporting you. It's bad enough we have to pay big bucks to elect a president but it should be OUR money – not that of a foreign company. Let's let the Clinton's know the White House cannot be bought by foreign interests.

What do they mean she LOANED 5 million to her own campaign???? I am pretty sure when I donated to the Obama campaign, there was no talk of it being a loan.
After all the millions and millions Hillary has taken from PACs, the pharmaceutical industry, and corporate america, why does she still have to tap into her own bank account for her campaign?
Do people not realize that Campaign Finance Reform is the first step to giving this country back to the people, instead of letting it continue to rest in the hands of corporate america's interests?
If people really want comapnies like Halliburton shaping US policy, vote for hillary – she sold her soul to big business a long time ago.

She talks about Healthcare for all. Well let's look at that a little more closely.
Wal-Mart is the largest non-government employer in the US. They employee over 1 million workers. They don't pay their employees enough to get health insurance.
Senator Clinton was on the Board of Directors of Wal-Mart for 6 years up to 1992 and she worked for the Rose Law Firm that represented Wal-Mart. Rose is the premier Union busting firm in the country.
Wal-Mart has been accused of using child labor to make their products, discriminating against women, forcing employees to work off the clock, and destroying communities that don't want them. They also force their suppliers to drive down costs, which forces them to close plants here in the US and send American jobs overseas.
So she has been working for the best interests of the American Family for years? I don't think so. If she was on the Board of Directors, why didn't she stop any of this?

Sounds like a budgeting problem. Hillary's poor judgement in caucusing in Michigan and Florida with no payoff sure didn't help. Use good judgement and vote Obama.

Does that mean that people who donate to her campaign are really just paying back the $5 million into her pocket? Would that change the total fund raising earnings to around 8 million instead of the 13 million she reported (since $5 million has to go back to her)? This doesn't seem very honest - is it a simple mistake on their part?
Kinda wish I knew about this before I sent her my money. Isn't there some kind of finance reform law against this?

Funny that John McCain was broke and out in the middle of the summer and now he is on the verge of becoming the Republican candidate while Hillary was riding a huge war chest and 20 to 30 points advantage in the polls over any other democratic candidate.
McCain has done this on Fumes as is Huckabee while the people of the United States are clearly saying that Big Money does not buy their Votes . Romney is having the same trouble as Hillary Clinton it is called not being trustworthy or Creditable .
His problem is a 11 hour Conservative Conversation and Hers is the Vote for the Iraq War that she claims to be dupted into .

Obama sees the country as ONE UNITED PEOPLES...time and time again he says this...it's the idiots at CNN and FOX that do all this "demographic analysis" of who's voting for who.
If anything, Hillary sees the country as MEN vs. WOMEN she has, ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS made reference to the fact that HER BEING A WOMAN would be a change in the white house, NOT ONCE has Obama referenced his race as being the change in the white house, but rather his refusal to take money from lobbyists and corporations (unlike Hillary).
I'm glad Obama takes my money, because I'm invested in the process! and it makes me sick that Hillary uses her own...the fact that she can, reminds me how out of touch she is with average folk.
You really want another 4-8 years with the Clintons...REALLY? Our country is really that small that we can only come up with two names to run the greatest place on earth...really?

But, at the same time...so very inspirational...this movement...and it is a movement...has me up, volunteering, getting involved...NOT for a Clinton...but for a movement for progress, transformation, and a REAL UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

That is truly one of the most inaccurate things i've heard all day. The first two points are not even worth commenting on. The last two, however, are certainly interesting spin. Let me spin it back at you.
Obama isn't taking money, he's being gifted money.
