Aloha: Chelsea Clinton to campaign in Hawaii

Chelsea Clinton campaigned for her mother in California in early February.

Chelsea Clinton campaigned for her mother in California in early February.

(CNN) - As part of the Clinton campaign's declared effort to fight for every delegate in every state, Chelsea Clinton is heading to Hawaii, Barack Obama's home turf, according to a Clinton campaign source. She'll spend three days, including this weekend, campaigning there.

The Clinton campaign has been criticized for not competing in the smaller states and caucuses, but is now trying to adjust their strategy. A campaign source says they are not focused only on Texas and Ohio.

On conference call Wednesday, Clinton staffer Guy Cecil said the campaign would now be hiring staffers and opening field offices in several states with upcoming contests they had not devoted resources to before, including Montana and Wyoming.

Hillary Clinton has been endorsed by Sen. Daniel K. Inouye of Hawaii, and will be doing satellite interviews with Hawaiian TV today.

A campaign source says Chelsea has proven to be an effective campaigner and they see a strong correlation between Chelsea's visits and improved performance.

At this point, says one campaign source, it's a delegate fight, and even narrowing a loss has a huge impact.

This cycle Chelsea campaigned for her mother in California – the first state where Clinton won the youth vote. The rural congressional district where Chelsea campaigned in Nebraska outperformed others in the state. So far this cycle, Chelsea Clinton has campaigned in at least 15 states.

Eric, funny you should ask such a stupid question. First you say Obama hasn't got any plans, he gives you a brilliant one. Now you want to know where he would get his money from. This goes to show how biased your question is. Well I know what the answer is, same place Hillary's and McCain would come from. I hope you are satisfied. Otherwise pay more attention to details.

Oh my goofy people–Why shouldn't Chelsea campaign for her mother? Mitt Romney's children did for him and countless other people for their parents. Helping on the campaign should not make you game for rude ignorant comments from anti-Hillary people. This Obama campaign is anti-Hillary, not pro-Obama because Obama doesn't take a stand on anything – just rhetoric, rhetoric! I hope you dopes wake up and realize that experience is important and you should be voting "for" someone not "against" someone else!

    Awaiting moderation
Half of you bloggers are so terribly uninformed.
The other half are egotistical nuts who like to see their words printed.
I fall into the latter catagory for writing this stuff in the first place.

Hey Amy in Iowa. You can be sick of the Clinton dynasty, but don't say its because of Chelsea and Bill campaigning for Hillary, or is it ok for the Kennedy's and Oprah to campaign for Obama when he's no where to be found in that particular state. You are a hater and your reasons are baseless.

I think it's great but I really think this is hurting Hillary. People want to see the candidate, not their daughter or husband. Hillary is relying too much on the appeal of her family and that's why her lead has dissappeared. She claims to be tough, but she's already conceded races and not one vote has been cast. She fights only what she can win and that shows no character or integrity.

I want a president who when it gets tough they can stand, not send their spouse or children. Barack has been everywhere and he's doing it well, why can't Hillary. Even when he's lost he's taken it on the chin and moved on, she acts like we're still at Super tuesday and keeps mentioning CA and the Big states, all states matter....

    GO OBAMA!!!!

Hillary Clinton can once again make a comeback. They thought she was a goner before NH and she won going away. She still has a shot in Wisconsin and polls indicate that she is still ahead in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island. If she can win those three, she will again be back in the drivers seat both in number of delegates and momentum. Go Hillary Go! Don't ever give up, keep on fighting! We stand with you!

Substance! Yes, a Clinton vote is one for substance! Please let the electorate use their brains this year.

I have not heard full speeches by Chelsea but I will say that if anyone has a chance to hear Bill Clinton speak in person on in a live feed on CNN, do it. He's amazing. It's not rhetoric – it informative and inspiring. Obama's pep rallies are so shallow.

Obama 2016? What a joke. Hillary has lost in terms of pledged delegates and the popular vote. She is not adjusting, she is trying to stop the bleeding that can't be stopped. She blew her money and her arrogance said 'they know my name, I need not spend time in those states.' Her campaign has been a failure. How do you go from inevitable to hanging on by thread? By being out-organized, that's how. Why don't you say what you really think? Superdelegates will save the day –only not, because most of them will need to get re-elected. Chelsea is not impressive nor does she sway young people that much. Sure she hasn't gone out and gotten drunk like the Hilton sisters but really, who cares that she's a top ten grad? I am too, and I could care less if she thinks her mommy should win.

I donated over $500 to this campaign because I worry about my children's future. Please print this letter and give it to Hillary staffer that will read and see if it is helpful.
    "Community Organizer for President"

He was a community organizer in an inner city Chicago. Then he wrote a book. Then he ran unopposed for the local state senate. Then he ran unopposed for a vacant Illinois state senate. And now he wants to be the president of the United States of America

The country is drifting from its historic path to an uncharted territory. Eight more years of experimentations and ill-conceived judgments even with good intentions could find our beloved United States unrecognizable and hard to correct. He said that he can not manage the nation but will hire good people.

In these times of the whole world is competing for our economy, jobs and livelihood it is very critical to methodically evaluate your choices and have the vision for future consequences. You must have the sound judgment and experience or we will find our selves in the richest third world country. With experience and competence come good judgment not just contents. But he will hire good people around him he said.

In the last few weeks the United States Navy had a close encounters with Russians fighter jets and Iranian navy boats in the Strait of Hormuz. One can restart the cold war with a nuclear nation and the other could stop the flow of most of the world’s petroleum that could send the world into an economic recession and ciaos. Do you want a community organizer that can hire good people to navigate this?

The president we elect have to decide between differing consultants. He or she has to make a decision that the future of our nation and our children depends on. We need a president who will make the correct choices and keep this country prosperous and free and great as it always been. Please don’t make us choose between an inexperienced community organizer and an opponent who supports the wrong war.

Lets take our country back and keep it the way it has always been, Great, Prosperous, Free, Strong and the beacon for freedom and democracy. I recommend you support Hillary Clinton now to lead the United States of America.

    Thank You

    To Amy in Iowa,

Do you honestly believe Barack Obama has been to every single state himself? Can you prove that he has made appearances in every state and didn't just send his wife or Oprah to stump for him?

Prioritizing appearances based on time constraints is standard practice for every candidate. It's not like these candidates have three months to sit in everyone's living room, like they can in your state.

Chelsea has the right to campaign for her mother. But then Hillary and Chelsea have to be prepared to be scrutinized, commented on and critized by the public and the media. Hillary can not then threaten to not be at a debate because she doesn't like what the media said about Chelsea. Hillary can not have it both ways. The rules that apply to the other candidates and their families apply to her and her family. If you have her out there and you Hillary or she gets attacked for something you or she did or said, then don't cry about it.

It is about time we see some fair and positive reporting. Chelsea is a great surrogate for her mother. Don't forget family values. What better witness than that of an adult child who truly admires and supports her parent. Job well done, Hillary!

I support Hillary because she truly is the best candidate for the job of the presidency. It is that simple.

I keep seeing comments about Barrak not being specific and detailed in how he is going to do things.........well you know what, neither has ANY of the other presidential hopefuls. He has not been more or less in specifics than any of the others. If you want those details they are found on each of the candidates web site. And yes even Obama has DETAILS, no more or less than the others.
As far as paying for these promised changes that each candidate is making.....well gee I suppose that would be us, the American tax payer. And that applies to ALL policies that they want to implement. Or I suppose you believe that Hillary is going to donate her check to bring about these changes.....

Hillary cannot connect with the young people so she is haveing to use Chelsea. Chelsea has star power. That's the only reason she is using her. Chelsea is actually a bigger and better draw than either Hillary or Bill. If the other candidates had her they would use her too.

"Hillary Clinton has been endorsed by Sen. Daniel K. Inouye of Hawaii"

Hey CNN, why no huge headline for this endorsement? Any time any old has been has endorsed Obama, there have been such headlines you would think he was being endorsed by Jesus.

We do not need anybody to tell us what we can. We need to know what he can and what she can.
Everybody knows business will be as usual and politics will be as usual after the election. Politicians will always be driven by votes and donations. Nobody will be able to change that. We need to know what he can and what she can under the "as usual" conditions. Any revolutionary promises are meaningless.
