Democratic campaign shifts to Wyoming

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Bill Clinton is heading to Wyoming."] (CNN) - Wyoming – the home state of Vice President Dick Cheney – is not usually a pit stop on the Democratic presidential campaign trail. But late this week, the state finds itself the Democratic destination of choice, with visits from former President Bill Clinton and the two remaining White House hopefuls, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

The former president, campaigning for his wife, is making several stops in the state Thursday. And Hillary Clinton and Obama head to the state Friday – with both planning a stop in Casper (population: roughly 50,000).

“Seriously, I never imagined when I took this job that we would see the day when the two front-runners for the Democratic presidential nomination would hold events in Wyoming on the eve of our county caucuses,” Wyoming Democratic Party spokesman Bill Luckett wrote on the state party’s Web site Thursday. “I think there’s a reasonable chance we’ll get our 15 minutes in the national spotlight when the deal goes down on Saturday.”

With just over 600 delegates left at stake in the Democratic presidential race, every remaining contest is seen as crucial to both Clinton and Obama. No polling has been conducted in the state, though the Illinois senator has held the advantage in most caucus contests to date.

I'm surprised Hillary can't just sweep Obama with her former President Husband bringing up her slack.

I guess that's the way they'll play it in the White House too. Two President's for the vote of one. Hillary doesn't need a VP. Bill will do

After all isn't that what everybody's voting for. 4 more years of Bill.

None will optain the magic number so let the Democratic party leader come in NOW!

The nominee should be Obama who is the front runner at the moment.
he actaully got more delegates in Texas them Hillary. So the party leader should figure what they should do about hillary.

Hey GDK, don't comapre Hillary to Huckabee. Huckabee was not so close to McCain in the delegates or the popular votes.

This is absolutely unfair, since the very beginning. Obama has to fight against a two-headed monster, the Clintons. And even so, he will prevail. Go, Obama 08

What is Hillary's problem? Does she think she's too good to campaign in person in states like Wyoming and Nebraska? One of the reasons Obama took Nebraska is because HE SHOWED UP! At least she had the good sense to send Chelsea to our state instead of Bill. Sorry Wyoming, guess you get the third tier.

Wyoming is the perfect place to hold a caucus because there aren't the large numbers of loud and obnoxious people who normally show up for Obama. This will be good for Hillary.

obamites are funny. Now that "the closer" has been closed because at the end she herself proof to be a worse candidate spouse than Bill, you all crying because Bill keeps campaigning for his wife. You all don't say a pip when oprah campaigns for obama. As if we are here to elect the next spiritual leader.

NOTE TO OBAMA: this race if for the President of the US. you DO NOT qualify.

It's great to read that both Hillary and Bill will be in Wyoming. Hillary is also in Mississippi tonight as the keynote speaker at a dinner in Canton, and Bill will be there tomorrow.

Hillary's inclusive proposals prove that she does hear the voices of all Americans. Let's home the people of Wyoming and Mississippi feel the same way!!

The hatred spewed by the Clinton backers is unbelievable, do you people care about your party or just getting your favorite candidate elected. I have to wonder how many are paid by the Clinton campaign to post this garbage.

Is Wyoming a red or blue state? There's your answer on who will win, it's a race/gender thing..

So.., if they call the red states the Bilble belt then Hillary's wins across the blue states must be the anti-Bible belt.

Let's hope Wyoming doesn't drink the Obamanaut kool-aid. I guess the race card can be left at home for this one. It's in the shop getting spiffed up for North Carolina. What will Michelle talk about?
