Clinton: My thoughts are with Spitzer

OLD FORGE, Pennsylvania (CNN) - Sen. Hillary Clinton said she had no comment on New York Governor Eliot Spitzer's possible involvement in a prostitution ring.

"I obviously am sending my best wishes and thoughts to the governor and to his family," she told reporters after visiting with reporters in a local pizza parlor.

When asked whether Gov. Spitzer could survive politically she said "let's wait and see what comes out of the next few days. Right now I don't have any comment. I think it's appropriate to wish his family well and see how things develop."

Have anyone except Hilliary Supporters noticed how sentimental she is when it comes to the Republicans (McCain and now Spitzer) but hammers Obama in one sec but then agrees to him being VP on her ticket. Hmmm MENOPAUSE MENOPAUSE. I have a mother who went through that and trust me we do not want her in the WHITE HOUSE under these conditions. LOL. MAD WOMAN ON THE LOOSE!! The New York Times will Read

To: Realistic – Remember Obama's 17-year friendship and land purchase deal with Rezco who's now facing federal corruption charges of all sorts? What kind of company does HE keep?

Maybe Hillary could run for Lieutenant Governor with Spitzer. She could gain some valuable experience while Spitzer revitalizes his campaign to clean up all the immorality and corruption in high places.

Maybe Obama's good friend and financial supporter Tony Rezko the indicted Chicago slum lord could replace Spitzer !

America 's salacious appetite for people's private lives.
Some of these comments here are ugly and mean spirited.
Yes , human beings are sometimes weak and misguided in their actions.
    Stop being so rightious .

See the kind of people Mrs. Clinton hangs out with.Maybe she could also make him vice president so that she can retaliate on Bill.

No comment in this case was totally appropriate. Would anyone want to comment on a co-worker's or a neighbor's marital woes publicly? To do so, would be rude and disgraceful to Spitzer's wife, children and family. If he did something wrong....go after him. Leave his wife and any other wife with a similar past experience out of it.

How touching. The stand by your man thing. Then stand by the woman who stands by Her man. If Spitzer broke the law, as it appears he did, we need to remove him from office, disbar and put his rear end with rest of him behind bars. His arrogance; he is going to report back to us. We got the report already and it didn't come from him. His next report should be that he resigns and in hours rather than days. We should have done that to Bill. Politicians should get the same treatment the rest of us do.

"Had Spitzer officially endorsed Clinton for presendential nominee? If you could cover that in reports it would be helpful."

Are you kidding? Why should Political Ticker report anything that would reflect unkindly on Clinton? Of course, Spitzer has endorsed Clinton, and so has Andrew Cuomo, the Attorney General.

  18. HillaBaby

Yeah, HillaBaby feels for Spitzer and his family. It's the same way she felt when Bill cheated on her the 1st of 100s of times. Now she's just numb and doesn't feel anything. That is a qualification for President by the way.

I find it hard to believe for a man who have fought and dedicated his life and time in fighting these kinds of acts , fall vitim to the sme

If h was single well, we can understand his needs, but come on guy, a wife and kids...Its a hard thing to ponder, because its easy to say stuff when not standing in someone's else shoes.
I think the best thing he can do is step down and move on.Save the people of New York the shame and amends to your family Govenor.

I don't understand why every woman in America does'nt stand behind Hillary Clinton for President.
From the beginning of time we women have fought for equal rights, now that we have what I consider to be the biggest opportunity since the beginning to voice our rights loudly, strongly and with pride, it seems that most women are falling for hype from famous people about Barock. Ladies get behind Hillary and give volume to our voices.

Get on with real issues! Why is CNN even bother to start a blog on Gov. Spitzer? There are alot of important issues out there that needed attention. Why did CNN drop the "Monster" and "Rezko" issues about involving Obama? Is CNN showing bias again or what? CNN has been influenced by Obama – You know tell the American people only what they want to hear!

Marc – you are absolutely right. CNN didn't like the Obamabots complaining because in fact they are whiners. This is a non-story on the national level. There are plenty of people, democrats and republicans who have done something they are not proud of.
