(CNN) - Casey Knowles has graced the airwaves this month as the unwitting star of a headline-grabbing campaign ad for Hillary Clinton. But the 17-year-old is hoping to grace the small screen this campaign year for another presidential hopefully: Clinton’s Democratic rival, Barack Obama.
Stock footage of an 8-year-old Knowles sleeping – shot when she worked as an extra in TV commercials - was used in Clinton’s “red phone” ad, which asked “Who do you want answering the phone at 3 a.m.?” in the case of a foreign policy crisis.
But the high-school senior – who will be eligible to vote in the general election – is actually a passionate supporter of Barack Obama’s, and has been volunteering for the Illinois senator’s campaign.
“I think it would be wonderful if Barack Obama and I could get together and do a counter-ad,” she told CNN Saturday.
Appearing on CNN's American Morning Monday, Knowles said she was shocked to discover she was in the commercial, and said it made her feel disloyal to Obama.
"It makes me feel a little disloyal and kind of," she said. "It hurts that footage of me would contribute to a candidate that I'm not necessarily supporting. Hopefully Mr. Obama would forgive me. "
Knowles, who lives in Washington State, also said she plans on helping Obama in Oregon ahead of that state's primary in May.
"They want to get me down there and hopefully get me to help support and get campaigning going on down there," she said.
In Wyoming on Friday, Obama told voters at a campaign event that people shouldn’t worry about what he’d do if an emergency 3 a.m. call came into the White House when he was president.
“What do people think I’m going to do? I’m going to answer the phone,” he said.

What's the big deal?
This is not news CNN.
Of course she supports Obama, He is the only person that can change and unite our country and our party.
And the girl who did "Obama Girl" voted for Hillary. Go figure!
Like the majority she would rather have anyone OTHER than Hillary answer the phone. I'm so tired of this women I could scream. She lies & moans & complains, there is no substance to her.
I guess ol' Hillary didn't figure on that coming up in the news. Better screen your ads better next time. Hey, Hillary it's a red phone next time you put together one of those 3 A.M. commercials. Just who were you talking to on that phone in that 3 A.M. commercial, the IRS? Casey Knowles knows the real deal, That's why she backs OBAMA!
why is she so shocked? she was a child actress with material in a stock file. Now she's using this to her advantage to get more work. Typical teenage behavior.
Who cares what this girl think? that's not the point of the AD anyway.
Sure take Hillarys money for the ad and go and get some of Obamas money now next thing you know she will be in an ad for McCain. Her parents taught her well
Who cares about what she thinks. I don't. She has so much more to learn about life.
I have good idea: Why not ask babies (preferably 1-2 years old) about who they support? That's really mature.
So?
As usual, the media will stop at nothing to slam Clinton.
Meanwhile, they continue to lay down rose petals for Saint Obama to walk on.
It's nice to see her speak up!
There is discussion among Obama supporters (not his campaign) that if the nomination is taken away from him with this "big state/little state" argument, we will all be voting for Ralph Nader, not John McCain. That way there will be a measurement of the mutiny from the democaratic party.
No matter how you look at it Clinton has more experience than Obama ... and not as First Lady. She has more Senate experience and more experience serving on the Armed Services Committee.
He got to the Senate, dropped his bags and ran for Presidaent.
Priceless free ad space.
We know you like using people, Hillary, but maybe you should start being more careful with who you use.
Hahahahah!
Before all you Clinton bashers go to town, just remember that the girl is an actress who was paid to do a job and is still too young to vote.
She's had her 15 minutes... I heard her on the talk show circuit this morning saying the ad was a low blow, etc. I think it's entirely reasonable to ask who you want answering that call at 3.00 am. She also said that by having the footage of her used in her ad that she felt "disloyal" to Obama. Comments like that worry me. Our only loyalty should be to this great country and not a silver tongued orator.
Remember, she was ASLEEP during the ad–and she still must be asleep if she's supporting Obama.
WHERE IS THE RESULTS FROM THE TEXAS CAUCUS?????
Why is no one reporting on this???
wow, the clintons went to work making their big game changing ad and used footage from 9 years ago? footage from the clinton administration! not even her video footage is new or changing! pathetic.
awww. Another Kid who doesn't know why she is voting for Obama. All she see's is an American Idol. Good Greif!!
Casey,
You have a huge future ahead of you. Thanks for coming out in support of Obama. You are my new hero.
Whoo Whoo...goe Casey!! Your mom should be proud.
Obama 08
All I can do is Laugh...
Kind of funny, maybe the Clinton's should have paid for their own ad image instead of using a borrowed one. (Is that like plagerism?).
I hope Obama's campaign does do an ad with this young lady. It's great to see how many young people do support Obama. Gives me hope that America still does have a bright future.
Obama, please accepts this girl's offer to spite Mrs Clintin. This ad with
her could seal or confirm your nomination.
YES,WE CAN.
