Clinton: How about a bowl-off for the nomination?

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/04/01/art.clinton0401.ap.jpg caption="Clinton’s bowling solution was incredibly creative. And an April Fool’s joke."] (CNN) - Hillary Clinton challenged Barack Obama to a primary season bowl-off Tuesday, with the winner to top the party’s ticket this fall.

“And when this game is over the American people will know they’ll have a president who’s ready to bowl on day one. We don’t have a moment to spare because it’s already April Fools Day,” she told reporters at a Pennsylvania press conference.

The New York senator that added it was time for the Obama campaign “to get out of the gutter. For all the pins to be counted…” and said she would spot him two frames.

Clinton may have been joking – but in a winner-take-all bowl-off, she might have the edge. This Saturday in Altoona, Pennsylvania Obama came in a distant third in a three-way bowling game, finishing with an underwhelming score of 37 over seven frames.

“I was terrible,” the Illinois senator told the crowd at the bowling alley, according to the Associated Press. "My economic plan is better than my bowling.”

Responded one unimpressed bystander: "It has to be."

How about pistols at ten paces, instead? With any luck, they could both lose and we could start over.

For the Hillary democrats, voting for McCain is a viable option- they are an older, more conservative, and now a disenfranchised-by-their- own party demographic.

For Obama supporters, voting for McCain is an idle threat- they are a younger, more radical and star-struck demographic.

So sad, so sad......(shaking head)....to watch this women grab so desperately at straws. How pathetic.
Doesn't she have any self pride?
She has no limits to how low she'll sink to try go negative against Obama. Is she serious, using bowling as a platform for her argument? I mean can't the man have time with the people/voters without her using his attempts to "relate with the people" as a political "kitchen sink" strategy? What's next, she going to offer a competition based on cattle feeding or maybe who's tour bus is better?
Hillary, you need to fight your fight by arguing your points, shining the light on yourself, instead of trying to shine it on Obama. Though every time you do, he just comes out looking better and better.

Again another smart mouth attack by Hillary.... I mean come on I am over it. Both candidates have alot to offer but if we are going to bring change to the United States of America this running of the mouth that has no purpose has got to stop. Stick to the facts... or are the facts to scary for Hillary.

    Undecided Voter........

Go Hillary – the smart choice for 08! 🙂

Obama needs some lessons on race as well as on getting out of the gutter. Mayby he should read "Come On People: On the Path from Victims to Victors" by Bill Cosby and Alvin F. Poussaint.

Why not?, one is not going to win the Presidency without the other on the ticket. They could decide VP spot, anyway.

A "lie-off" would be more appropriate to see who can tell the most factually inaccurate story about what kind of bogus candidate they are. She wins by a nose– a long one.

HRC, You were bowled off several times and still bowled off ...don't you recognise that ... you think you are doing and you are going to do a favor to the nation !? How can you ask a candidate with 140 deligate lead to lose when you are trailing ? Get lost, it is getting late !! Do yourself a favor and leave and shut up until 2012 election !!

Obama can't bowl, that's for sure. But Hillary can't tell the truth . . . someone other than a Clinton should keep score.

I have no doubt she would actually seriously do it (or literally anything else) if she thought it would get her the nomination...

Obama bowling relates to blue collar people as much as his policies.

Say what you will about her, but she is actually really funny. I never knew that about her before this campaign, but she really is. Even in her debates and sit downs, she is very witty.

Oh Hillary, you are just so funny these days. After the bowling game, maybe you and Barack could play "best of 3" one – on – one basketball. It was interesting how from this subject you tried to target "dirty politics" against Obama when all along they've been infesting your campaign. It's one thing to stay in the struggle and be resilient and another to stay in because of pathetic desperation.
