Obama recruits for post-primary fight

(CNN) - He's not the nominee. But Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is starting to look beyond his party's primaries and caucuses, now organizing a grassroots effort to start in June - after the final vote of the primary season.

In an e-mail Thursday, the campaign announced the launch of an "Obama Fellows" program, to train young volunteers and assign them as grassroots organizers for at least six weeks over the summer. With re-votes unlikely in Michigan and Florida, the only voters still up for grabs at that point would be Democratic superdelegates - implying Obama strategists are openly building up a structure past the party's nomination fight, and in preparation for the November election.

Clinton will soon start recruiting to stop him from winning general election. I dont know how accurate this report is but I heard that Hillary and Bill will endorse John McCain. They will use national security as their deciding factor when they make their endorsement.

Some people are saying that Barack is getting ahead of himself.
Well I think that is a fantastic trait in a leader.
If he wins or not I see that he's trying to do something good for the party unlike the Clintons.

Whether he is the nominee or not, ,which I suspect he will be, he has said he would do everything possible to get the Democratic Nominee elected. You cannot wait until June to start preparing.

Get a grip people, it's not a presumption or arrogance, it is called being PROACTIVE, something the Democrats haven't always been very good at.

Another first from Obama. Don't be suprised to see copies of this plan soon in the McCain's camp and (funny enough) in Clinton's camp. And that does not mean he has ignored the primaries.

    The campain just gained MOMENTUM!

His campain has always been about strategic planning and so will his government be.

    Oh I can't wait! 2009; FASTER!!!

Preparation is the foundation for which victory is built. The stronger the foundation, the more sound the superstructure. Restive folks who desire to be hateful and divisive are getting a lesson in change. There will be more than enough humble pie to go around, but Obama is far more magnanimous than to be vendictive. He'll be a gracious victor.

Why America want the " Cliton" family again?( intended misspell) Gawd! this is like going back to the past. More sex, lies and self fullment. They had their chance it is time to more on! I for one do not want to see her on my TV screen whining with "I" "I" – She is in menopause – hot and cold. It is time for retiring.
Obama is presidental! which = respect and world peace. He is one in a lifetime chance for something good.
Yes you all CAN!! now do it.

This is another Obama tactic that is going to backfire. Every time he pulls a stunt like this the public reacts negatively to him. He is only ahead 2.8% in the popular votes with 8+ millions votes to be cast. A 15% Clinton victory in PA could narrow that down, and you factor in FL he is down.

Don't count out the PA voters!

So, let me get this straight. Obama is arrogant and presumptuous to begin thinking about after the primaries, but it's perfectly acceptable and actually encouraged for Hillary to ask Obama to be his VP?

Did I get it right, Hillary supporters?

Hey, Obama! It ain't over till the fat lady sings! Throughout history, the arrogance of Pretenders to the Throne has been their undoing. At the end of the road, this high handed posturing could cost you big time.

Obama is arrogant, has a sense of entitlement and it turns off a lot of Americans. When you combine that with lack of experience, and
the question regarding why he listened to a racist, anti-American preacher for 20 years, along with his wife making anti-American,
possibly racist racist remarks, and the fact that he doesn't seem to
have a good handle on economics (if his interview a couple Sundays ago was any indication), etc., etc.... he makes it easy for McCain to go
    after him.

I am so disgusted withe the Hillary supporters that post in the blogs.

everyday the same thing MI, FL, ... FL, MI

look i believe you should follow your canidate and support them who ever s/he may be but seriously. Hillary Agreed to the rules.

If she is sincere in her cries about not disenfranchising voters then she should have brought it up in the start of the race. when she agreed to do just that.

face it you are being fooled and if you not being fooled then you notice the hypocritical logic and choose to ignore it. which makes you... something else entirely.

    so please just stop.

If Hillary was concerned about anyone else but herself she would have never gone negative and we would be looking at an Obama/Hillary ticket right now...

instead she thinks John McCain is better than Obama and completely closed the door on her and Obama teaming up.

she is trying to game this election with old cheat codes

    Wise up!

    Obama/Dodd 08!

Who do you think you are to be so ARROGANT!? This is why I HAVE NEVER LIKED YOU and WILL NOT EVER vote for you!!!!!!! Contrary to what you would lke to believe NOT ALL HILLARY SUPPORTERS will vote for you. If you actually end up being the nominee at the August Convention, then I will have to for MCCAIN or NADER! Better yet maybe Hillary will go INDEPENDENT!

Go Hillary Go! You are the woman who can runt his country. It is time for the good ole boys to quit trying to run you out of this race!
