Obama: I'd take a vow of silence if I could

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/04/10/art.obama0409.ap.jpg caption="Obama said Thursday he’d lay off the speeches for a while if he could. "] LAFAYETTE, Indiana (CNN) - Democrat Barack Obama told an Indiana audience Thursday afternoon that he doesn't like hearing the sound of his own voice as much as some people might think.

After first mentioning that there was a time when presidential rival Hillary Clinton was "really hammering away" at him by saying he was more of a talker than a doer, the Illinois senator said, "She's not doing it as much now. I guess because it wasn't working."

But, said Obama, it's "not just because I like hearing myself talk."

"I promise you, after 15 months (on the trail so far) I would be happy to take a vow of silence and not say a word. I'd be happy just to sit in an office somewhere and solve all kinds of problems without ever having to give a speech."

I am always surprised at folks who demand specifics from the candidates. Especially people who are so adept at the internet. Go to Obama's web site it is all right there in great detail. I am sure it is on HIllary's site too.
As to how Obama will achieve results? He is building a base of support that will demand results from our lawmakers, it is up to all of us to make change happen. Hi is a bottom up strategy. Build your base big enough and you have less to push against and more people pushing with you.

As time goes on, Hillary is starting to realize she can't win.
No need to waste your time, voice and money

I believe Hillary is trying to run Obama out of money, that is why she is staying in the race

However, Bill is still the Chief of the NAFTA venture with Penn..
I hope PA take notice that they are still working behind the smoke screen to transport more jobs overseas. Being paid $800,000 so you tell me, who doesn't like USA, its Bill Clinton & Penn, sending all the jobs overseas.. Wake up USA..

  5. OBAMA FOR SURE WILL WIN PA. 2008

And, Mr. Barrack Obama. You are getting a great political endorser
very, very soon. Mr. Colin Powell. Do I hear Hillary still laughing because she laughed all day instead of answering questions about
her husbands $800,000 deal with Columbia. Bosnia story was funny.
Columbia story was laughable all day long because she couldn't
answer the questions. She laughs all the way to the bank of Dubai.
With Hillary it is a new lie everyday. If she cannot lie because she will
get hammered, she just laughs, and laughs, and laughs. Real Character and real scruples she has. Huh!!!

    Obama 2008 or NO ONE

  8. How about Clinton's new view?

"The New York Times reports: (4/10/08)

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton reiterated her campaign pledge to begin withdrawing troops from Iraq within 60 days of taking office, and added on Thursday that she would carry out the policy regardless of the advice she might receive from military commanders. "

"Well, let me just describe to you the way our system works," Mrs. Clinton said. "Policy is set by the civilian leadership. The president of the United States sets the policy. Our military, and thankfully so, carries out the policy that is set. You ask the military for their best advice about how to implement the policy that you have set."

Are you there or are you afraid of looking misogynistic?

    Hillary/Billary/Pennary
Which ever, they are a joint venture in destroying America.
Hillary Lied, Billary cheats, and Pennary steals
Hillary knew just what her husband was doing, saying she didn't agree.. Well, he is your husband, you reap the benefits of the $800,000 you hired Penn to work for you.. You stay with a man who cheats on you..
I had a brother that faught overseas, and had to dodge gun fire, I did not find that funny when you said that on Jay Leno the other night.
I didn't find it funny when you said you didn't have anything to do with NAFTA and said "Shame on You Obama".. When you knew your husband was the ring leader.. "Shame on you HILLARY.

Yes, Sen. Obama please do take a vow of silence. Lord knows you've been taking a vow of silence when it comes to your voting record during your junior term in the U.S. Senate. You missed what, something like 40% of the votes put before the Senate?

If it's not convenient for you to show up for Senate votes, will it be convenient for you to answer those 3:00am phone calls? Or will you just let that phone ring, and ring, and ring, and ring.....

Silence him now. What an egotistical jerk. He was nothing but a blowhard.

Hillary will win and then go on to beat McCain. If she doesn't get the nomination, McCain wins.

Wake up people – listen to what he is really saying. Listen to Michelle Obama – she was talking about how most people aren't asking for much, just a small piece of the pie ...her rant sounded like Socialism. America is a CAPITALISTIC SOCIETY – Why should people share their piece of the pie to give to othersl. Work for what you want – whether you want more or whether you want less. NO, NO OBAMA

Obama has been campaigning too long – – he needs a break! This race is not over and looks like it is along way from being over.

Romney was right to quit when he did because he was looking at preserving the dignity of the party!

Hillary will tear down the party and the country if she is not elected (or even if she is elected). Hillary is George Bush!!

The only loyality Hillary knows and respects is "money"! Bill has made $109 million off the backs of the tax payers and Hillary just says that was Bill not me!
