Clinton: 'Not relevant' last time I went to church, fired gun

CNN

Watch a clip of Sen. Clinton's Sunday press conference.

SCRANTON, Pennsylvania (CNN) – After a weekend spent making direct appeals to gun owners and church goers, Hillary Clinton said Sunday a query about the last time she fired a gun or attended church services "is not a relevant question in this debate” over Barack Obama’s recent comments on small town Americans.

“We can answer that some other time,” Clinton said at a press conference held in a working class neighborhood here. “This is about what people feel is being said about them. I went to church on Easter. I mean, so?”

Clinton described the furor surrounding Obama’s remarks as “about how people look at the Democratic Party and the Democratic Party leadership.”

“We have been working very hard to make it clear that we have millions of Democrats who are church going and gun-owning,” she said. “And we are tired of having Republicans, or frankly our own Democrats, give any ammunition to Republicans because what happens then is Republicans take advantage of the situation.”

She called the current imbroglio “an important moment for Democrats” and challenged Obama to further explain what he meant by his comments, which she reiterated were “elitist and divisive.”

Pressed on whether she truly believes Obama is an elitist, Clinton called him “a good man,” but recalled the narratives of the 2000 and 2004 president election.

“You don’t have to think back too far to remember that good men running for president were viewed as being elitist and out of touch with the values and lives of millions of Americans,” she said.

Nothing is relevant to you except the things that will make you win at all cost.

Look how cheep you have made yourself by beaming from ear to ear on your latest discovery,
    – Barack has said something you think is not very pleasant.

You forget that your have always 'MISSPOKE' all through your campaign and he never bothered to pick on them; that would be condescending too low.

Prooves to me you have no dignity. Besides, despite all your hard digging for dirt, is that all you could find? LOL!

    I Pity you Hillary!!!

I think it's a misjustice what Clinton and the pundits, especiall those on the Lou Dobbs Show did to spin Obama's words around. The one thing you can't do when you're in politics is tell the truth; and that's exactly what Obama did. I live in Boca Raton, FLorida and shame on you Hillary, Bill, John and Bush for being soooo out of touch. We have a lot of bitter people living here.

We need real help and it becomes more obvious everyday that Obama will be the only one that has a chance of changing our world around, with a lot of help from the "People".

YOU, Hillary, have ruined the party and have no concept of what Obama is about. Read a book. Read Dreams From My Father and you will see this is not an elitist individual. The elitist is you!

Let's see, Hillary, at her families "cottage" on lake Winola in Scranton when she was a little girl been taught by her father how to shoot a gun.And when she was a little girl, she was watching Martin Luther Kingfrom afar and he came over an shook her hand thru a fence.and when the Postal Union endorsed her opponent Barrack Obama, Hillarytold the story about when she was little, how she would wait patiently sit on her front porceh and wait for the Postman to come everyday, but one Sunday she was waiting and she went inside and cried to her Mother, and her Mother said "Now, Hillary. lets dry your little tears, because it is Sunday and the Postmans is off today. "
Then when she grew up, although she lived a life as an "elitist"
she dodged bullets while she and Chelsay exited a plane in Bosnia,
then she had the opportunity to go on Jay Leno's show to tell the funny
story. She has had the opportunity to bowl on Ellen Degeneres but
she did very badly. She has partied with the "elitists" in Pa. drinking
shots of Crown whiskey made in Canada . Although Bill was no where insite, probably locked in a closet somewhere with tape on his mouth, she had a wonderful time in Pa. but she forgot to pay the
bar bill, and when she was leaving, her hair got all blown and her
expensive scarf blew out into the wilderness.

So she is attacking him, calling him an elitist, even though it's false and he is a good man. Huge jumps in logic are not becoming.

Clinton does not know the pain, suffering or bitterness of poor people. She was raised in a rich family, became the first lady and now has income of 109 millions
It is her time to through all the kitchen sink on Obama. She has a week to go for PA
People may be poor and bitter but not stupid. Play another game Hillary

Every one needs to read Carl Bernstein's : A Hillary Clinton's Presidency. It is located on the CNN WEB SITE. This man knows her and has written a book about her. THis woman is dangerous and will do anything in order to get nominated. If elected her and Bill will do the same politics that was Provided during his presidency.
Please Read and donot vote for Hillary in PEEN NOR NY OTHER STATE

Would have been nice if instead of reinforcing the neocon falsehoods that divide people from their own self interest, she acknowledged what Obama was trying to get across: that poor people (of all colors) have been duped election after election into voting for leaders who rountinely make decisions that put money in their friends pockets while sending poor children to bad schools, to Iraq, and forgo American healthcare and social security to play war abroad.

Its a sad day, an opportunity lost to wake people up to the opportunity to vote for the best policies for their families.

It amazes me how apologies are accepted differently. When Bill Clinton apologized for lying about having an affair with Monica Lewinsky we accepted it and forgave him. When John MaCain came to Memphis last week and apologized to Memphians during the Martin Luther King ceremony for not voting for his national holiday we told him that we all make mistakes and we forgave him. When Hillary outright lied about being pinned down by sniper fire she said she made a mistake due to being sleep deprived not once but 3 times we seemingly forgave her. But when Barack spoke the truth about Americans being "bitter" regarding their circumstances and apologized for choosing his words inappropriately we want to accuse him of being an elitist and out of touch. That just goes to show you just how racist our society is. If Black Americans can't see what is really going on in our society, they are really the ones out of touch! Each time I go to the gas pump or to the gorcery store I am not only bitter, I am outraged. Not to mention the fact that I am struggling to finance my son's college education, who graduated with honors and is already in debt with student loans. I support Barack 100% and unlike most politicans is being honest with the American people and his opponents are outraged because he is going against what they believe in, lying to get the vote.

Gun use, church attendance not relevant? Once again, Hillary's words are just words and have no related actions to back them up. Any politician will say anything if they think it will help them get elected, no different than any commissioned salesperson will say anything to make a sale.

My favorite Hillary saying is that "we have to roll up our sleaves." That is true, American's wil have to roll up their sleaves, because a government led by her can't be trusted to roll up its sleaves on behalf of the American people. The jacket of a pant-suit does not lend itself to rolling up the sleaves. It lends itself to sipping wine and hob-nobbing with special interest groups.

Obama is a very bitter person... and with the recent inner-self coming to the surface... it's clear now that's why he "clings" to Rev. Wright. And if you really want to see bitter... how 'bout Michelle Obama. She has to be one of the most bitter creatures on Earth... so perhaps Obama shouldn't dray any more attention to "bitter".

This from the most elitist Democrat of all. Goodness me people - wake up to what HRC and BC are doing. They know she can't win, so they tear down Obama so he'll lose to McNutso, and set her up for 2012. Lets never forget what she is doing, and lets please not allow these people back in the White House.

It is elitist to invest in an ethanol plant in Brazil (Brenco) that mistreats the workers so harshly that the Brazilian government has to step in to help them. Workers that were cold, hungry in overcrowded, unsanitary conditions.

Bill Clinton made the investment. Hillary Clinton shares that money.

Oh who cares when the last time was that she went to church or fired a gun! It's not like she's saying that it's all she does all of the time! She's just showing where those issues have been relevant in her life before. She IS allowed to do that! I swear, whenever they try and "get her" on stuff like that, I'm not impressed.

I've been for Hillary since the beginning and was proud to have already mailed in my vote!!

    Go Hillary!

Hillary lied about her support of NAFTA, has very real connections to the Columbian Trade Deal and spends her time twisting Senator Obama's words to deflect from her dishonesty and lack of integrity.

As to Obama's remarks: The term "biiter" is not as revealing as the term "cling". Obama is a very inteligent man and what he expressed is too extensive to be simply explaine away with having used the "wrong words".- It is insulting to say that people turn to religion in their lives because they are bitter.- Does Obama think the people feel empowerd by guns and by the constituional provision to carry guns, and with that feel compensated for what their ecconomic circumstaces in their daily lives deny them?- And does Obama feel that if these same people have a decent job they no longer care whether trade deals are fair for the american worker? This is insulting their inteligence. It would explaing though why the Canadian government got a wink and a nod from lthe Obama campaign when the question about NAFTA was asked.
I will not let Obama CLING to the term " bitter" only and with that try to explain his extensive musings why people do what they do,

Hillary, wake up. Maybe there are some of us who do feel bitter about what is going on. Getting laid off, rising prices and a government who doesn't care about us until now. In other words, STOP THE DRAMA, VOTE OBAMA!
