Clinton: Obama 'complaining' about debate

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/04/18/art.clintoncomplain.ap.jpg caption=" Clinton said Obama is complaining about Wednesday night's debate."]

PHILADELPHIA (CNN) - In her first comments about the Wednesday evening’s controversial debate, Hillary Clinton accused Barack Obama of “complaining” about the broadcast and hinted her rival might not be equipped to handle the rigors of the Oval Office.

“I know he spent all day yesterday complaining about the hard questions he was asked,” she told an interviewer Friday morning on WTXF in Philadelphia. “Being asked tough questions in a debate is nothing like the pressures you face inside the White House.”

In campaign stops in Pennsylvania and North Carolina yesterday, Obama criticized both his rival and the debate format, accusing the moderators of focusing on trivialities and saying Clinton was “in her element.”

Seeing an opening after what some pundits regarded as a poor performance by Obama, Clinton used the morning show interview to make the case for her own toughness and determination.

“When the going gets tough you can't run away,” she said of Obama.

Clinton said she had no problems with the debate, a face-off that some critics — and many Obama supporters — claimed was slanted against the Illinois senator.

“The special interests are going to be a lot tougher than 90 minutes of questions from two journalists,” she said, “and we need a president who is going to be up there fighting everyday for the American people and not complain about how much pressure there is, and how hard the questions are.”

I agree, Hillary is tough, like the Terminator

a political machine (MORE business as usual w/ HER experience!)

she wakes up and it's politics until the day is done...

she's slick, sly, selfish sinister, w/some mechanical defects/lapses

inhuman and does NOT represent family values that matter to me.

Go ahead, Hillary. Keep being negative. Every time you open your big mouth and divide this country, you are hated just a little bit more.

Funny that she calls out Obama for complaining when only weeks ago she was whining about being asked all the hard questions first DURING a debate!!! So, maybe that's how she plans to handle a UN meeting... "I just don't think it's fair that BLAH BLAH BLAH." OBAMA!!!!

Poor Obama-–He complained about a few questions that needed to be answered regarding his character (does he have one?). Wonder what he will do when he gets that phone call at 3:00AM in the morning and no one has set up the teleprompter. He can't think on his feet.

Nothing wrong with answering tough questions. Not when you have George Stephanopoulos who use to work for the Clintons and Hannity from FOX News asking the questions. I remember on MSNBC when you cried that it was unfair. Now you want to talk about complaining. Going back to Louis Farrakhan again talking about you and your husband do not approve of him.

oh please Hillary. complaining? Isn't that what you've done this whole campaign? Until, of course, ABC and the moderators aided in your attempt to gang up on Obama.

Perhaps Hillary's high-paid consultants should disect the polls and realize that going on the attack, and attempting to paint herself as a fighter who will win by any means necessary is backfiring.

Then again, I guess she has to anything she can, as her lead in Pennsylvania continues to erode.

Hillary that is easy for you to say. Your journalist was a former partner to Bill so you knew what was being asked of Obama. You set him up and then want to have the nerves to say that "When the going gets tough, you can't run away". You have some nerves. Obama have been a gentlemen to you for so long, but if he got down right nasty every one would be saying the samething about him that they are saying about you. So Hillary stop acting like you are all that and a bag of chips. You might fool others about how good you are but underneath that grin you are as low and bitter as the come.

Clinton is correct. One debate has been slanted against Obama and he whines. Every other debate has been slanted against Hillary and she keeps trucking on. That's what I want in a president – someone who is tough and resilient.

He wasn't complaining, hes just pissed cause you are a B!T@# and need to get out of this race, but you are a decrepit old witch that doesn't know when her time is up. All you do is attack Obama because he is beating you, which does no good for you but just hurts this party in the long run. If we lose this election it will be because of you Hillary, and I will be looking for you with a metal baseball bat if that happens!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Hillary I wonder if you'd say the same thing if you were asked about CAFTA, your NAFTA lies, Mark Penn and Wolfsen lobbying for Columbia Trade Agreement, and the $800,000 dropped into your joint bank account from Bubba lobbying for the Colombian Trade Agreement? I'd bet you would've cried foul like you always do and played the sexist card.

hillary won that debate. his annoyance at being asked questions, he didn't feel like answering showed how arrogant he truly is. he can't talk without a teleprompter and a pre written speech. he is afraid to debate her again, because americans can see what a sham he is.

she's right. he can't handle it. he is no change agent, washington won't bow down to him because he asks them with a smirky smile while lying through his teeth. look at his record – politics as usual.

hillary is a fighter and she fights dirty and thats what DEMOCRATS NEED for once. no more spineless wimps.
