Clinton: Obama 'complaining' about debate

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/04/18/art.clintoncomplain.ap.jpg caption=" Clinton said Obama is complaining about Wednesday night's debate."]

PHILADELPHIA (CNN) - In her first comments about the Wednesday evening’s controversial debate, Hillary Clinton accused Barack Obama of “complaining” about the broadcast and hinted her rival might not be equipped to handle the rigors of the Oval Office.

“I know he spent all day yesterday complaining about the hard questions he was asked,” she told an interviewer Friday morning on WTXF in Philadelphia. “Being asked tough questions in a debate is nothing like the pressures you face inside the White House.”

In campaign stops in Pennsylvania and North Carolina yesterday, Obama criticized both his rival and the debate format, accusing the moderators of focusing on trivialities and saying Clinton was “in her element.”

Seeing an opening after what some pundits regarded as a poor performance by Obama, Clinton used the morning show interview to make the case for her own toughness and determination.

“When the going gets tough you can't run away,” she said of Obama.

Clinton said she had no problems with the debate, a face-off that some critics — and many Obama supporters — claimed was slanted against the Illinois senator.

“The special interests are going to be a lot tougher than 90 minutes of questions from two journalists,” she said, “and we need a president who is going to be up there fighting everyday for the American people and not complain about how much pressure there is, and how hard the questions are.”

Simple misrepresentation... He wasn't complaining about *tough* questions – he was complaining about *trivial and irrelevant* questions. There is a difference.

Pathetic! Obama never complained about the debate. Obama said that ABC and yourself (Clinton) were wasting American people's time for issues that were not serving the American people. In my opinion (and all other Americans), Obama handled it very well. He was in the defense because he needed to answer and correct ABC & Clinton on issues that they got it wrong. There were many important questions that were not asked – economy, high gas price, Nafta, Cafta etc.For Clinton to have a face to say this, she is very pathetic and shameless. ABC, George S. and Charles Gibson went a new low, and it paints the whole MEDIA even uglier than it already was.

Obama is not ready!! I do not think he will ever be ready for the attacks from the GOP and the administration. We need to ask him to drop out and let Hillary with this for the Democrats!

at least hill didn't get the first question! thank goodness or we'd be hearing about that....not that that's trivial or anything. there is such a double standard with her. she can sling all the mud she wants but no one else can. she can complain all she wants but no one else can. she can misspeak after being exhausted but no one else can......and i'm sure there's more. she's just a conniving, divisive person who feels entitled to the presidency. we will have so much more of the same if she won. she and the congress would be butting heads constantly an as usual, nothing will get done.

BO is like a child.....telling his parents he failed the test because the teachers were mean......then the media is like his parents who have to go into the school and reprimand the teachers for being mean to their son....

Media: "Not MY kid, MY kid would NEVER do that...it must have been someone else's kid..."

The person who can't dance says the band can't play……BO in a nutshell....
He whined and complained ALL DAY yesterday.....cracks me up.
Sounded like my kids when they don't want to take resposibility for their own actions.....
She should know about those pressures, she's handled them now for 16 years.....she's strong, so intelligent, so hard-working. She will be a brilliant President of the United States!
    GO HILLARY!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Clinton would know all about complaining about debates. Wasn't it the Texas debate where she responded to her first question by complaining about always getting asked first? Didn't she spend days pointing out the Saturday Night Live skit lampooning the debates? Perhaps this is another one of those "distinctions" she is so fond of.

Hello, kettle? This is the pot. Yeah, bye the way, you're black.

Anderson Cooper has a man crush on Obama.

Saturday Night Live's portrayal of Campbell Brown's bias for Obama was dead on.

We've already had debates where the moderators were in the tank for Obama.

Obama is simply terrible without a script!

    Quit whining Obama.

This from the women who "whined" during the last debate because the moderators were asking her questions first all the time? She really does live in some kind of fantasy world!

All these people with distain for the other candidate. How are they going to help bring America together? How are they going to implement the change their candidate espouses? They still think its a zero sum game. "My team is winning – your team disgusts me." There will be no change – we get exactly what we deserve.

  23. Boycott ABC "THIS WEEK"

George Stephanopoulos is a political parasite. He has never been a journalist. The debate on 04/16 is a set up to torpedo Obama's nomination. This guy has enriched himself by writing a book gossiping his former boss (Bill Clinton). Then he switches to be a sympathizer of Neo Conservatives. For the debate, he took notes from Fox News Channel for his "debate question". How can we allow this type of garbage seeps through our news media?

All younger viewers should boycott all ABC programming.

This was susposed to be a debate, not a 3-way gang bang! All she did was futher divide whcih took 40 minutes. Then she finally dropped it and we were able to move on to issues that MATTER. Again, if the roles were reversed, she would sing the EXACT same tune. Mark my words, this will be over by N.C. People in PA are scared to vote for a black man who is half white, go figure!

Enough of the "CRAP" Clinton Campaign. Glad that Hillary knows so much about the rigors of the Presidency. Apparently she is NOT correct on that either. Seems that OUR President Clinton found enough free time to do a little immoral dating on the side???? S maybe not that pressing. Just stop being negative Hillary and be supportive of our apparent Candidate.
