Major Clinton fundraiser switches to Obama

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/04/25/art.hillary.ap.jpg caption="Clinton lost a big fundraiser to Obama."](CNN) - A “Hillraiser” – a major fundraiser for Hillary Clinton – said Friday he had defected to Barack Obama’s campaign. The official announcement will be made next week.

Gabriel Guerra-Mondragon – who served as ambassador to Chile during the Clinton administration – had raised close to half a million dollars for Clinton’s campaign, reports Chuck Todd, who broke the story.

"We're just bleeding each other out," Guerra-Mondragon told the Washington Post. "Looking at it as coldly as I can, I just don't see how Senator Clinton can overcome Senator Obama with delegates and popular votes. I want this fight to be over, the quicker the better."

He added that leaving the Clinton campaign for Obama's "was a very, very difficult decision for me to make. I am an old and longtime friend of Senator Clinton. And I continue to think she is a fantastic and formidable person. But I am first of all a Democrat."

Not surprising at all. What ahead of them is that their old buddies , superdelegates, will defect one after another. If Clintons do not know how to quit gracefully, the quit will come to them. They are digging their own graves. God's will.

Another spineless, Judas, weak pathetic defector. I'm a competitor that never gives up. Everyone is talking about how Hillary is dividing the party. That is a bunch of bull doodoo with rotten cheese on it. I will promise you this, if she doesn't win the nomination I know who I'm voting for in November. This Obama cat has been given the red carpet treatment since day one. He doesn't doesn't deserve my vote. I know that I'm not the only one out there that feels this way. I'd rather give up my vote for my fellow VETERAN!!!

It really is time for this to happen so we can become united. We are fortunate to have good choices and it is time to be one party again.

Just great! Anyone who has the gall to switch from HRC is a traitor! At this rate, America will soon be called the LAND OF TRAITORS just like Japan is called the Land of the Rising Sun....

Obama continues to overcome great odds and never ceases to inspire me.

Remember Hillary is the establishment canidate. This was supposed to be her year. Just like she was supposed to win PA by 20pts. Seems to me like she actually lost a lot of supporters there. Thats the real story and people in her campain know this. I'm sure several of her super delegates regret endorsing her so early in the game.

Just another male expressing his gender bias, just like the govener of Oklahoma , a super delegate, whose state supported Sen. Hillary Clinton, endorsing Obama. This is all reverse racism, it's also gender bias.

Uh-oh will the hounds call him a Judas too...I know Carville is licking his chops over this one.

Get used to it Clintonites...this is only the beginning. Soon your very own candidate will be throwing HER support behind the Democratic Nominee Barack Obama, and just like she's been fooling everyone else during this primary season, she'll convince the nation he's the right man for the job! LOL!

DNC is filled with the traitors. It's really sad. He leaves the ship to go strengthen the enemy. This time this I decided not to vote for democrat if Hillary isn't the nominated. I shall not vote either for Obama or for McCain.

U.S. dollar is on the decline and Hillary is proving not to be a wise investment. Investors are known to put their money where it will count and we all need to take a page from them. Vote Obama.

Many Hillary supporters dont see the damage she is doing by continueing her campaign, SHE cannot win, it is hurting the democratic party, dividing the nation, and is fueling racial segregation.

it would be different if she campaigned without going negative, and keeping the issues at the forefront, but her stance is not to move the party forward together, but to keep it divided so no one is watching when the progression of the NAFTA superhighway is pushed down our throats through the back doors of SLICK WILLIE NEGOTIATIONS.

JOHN McCain if you love American and all of its people like you say, end the negative campaigning before the general.

Calling these independent thinkers traitors is treating the Clintons like royalty. They are no musketeers and we are the U.S.A. They have every right to be loyal to our contry or the Dem Party before they are to the Clintons.

Look at what loyalty pays the black community by the Clintons.
Hillary knows she cannot be elected this time, but she wants to return in 2012 and it is more advantageous to her if Obama doesn't win this time. The Clintons have been dumping damage on Obama to such an extent that would outdo what the Republicans could have done.

It's all about me for the Clintons. They are programmed to do just one thing: Return to the White House, their House at all costs.
