Obama shoots, but doesn't score

CNN

Watch Obama play basketball with some UNC players.

(CNN) - Barack Obama is known for his strong basketball skills, but the Illinois senator proved no match for the UNC Tar Heels Tuesday.

Obama practiced with the team for several minutes Tuesday morning, often struggling to keep pace with the Final Four-team and failing to sink a basket - at least when the cameras were turned on.

“These guys are a lot better than me,” Obama said as he was running down the full length of the court and trying to keep pace with the Division I players, including Tyler Hansbrough, the national player of the year.

At one point, Coach Roy Williams scolded his players for not guarding the presidential candidate.

“You guys are leaving the next president of the United States wide open,” Williams joked.

Obama took a couple of shots, but neither fell through. His campaign says he did make a three-pointer after reporters were escorted off the court.

    To Jessica,

Senator Clinton will be spending her time more wisely, like sitting her butt in the Oval Office.

Why don't you go back to eating your bon bons, and driving your yuppie butt around in your yuppie SUV!

    Get a life!!

    Go Hillary!!!!

This is what it is all about. Unfortunately the other candidates in the race do not have the physical stamina to keep in the game. The same is true of having the physical attributes to be President of the United States. The game has changed...it requires youth and stamina to deal with two wars .......a GLOBAL ECONOMY ( all new over the last eight years) and a constently changing global arena.
GO OBAMA !!! By the way CNN Hillary Supporters this should get as much headlines as the Gov. Endorsement. Seems that ALL of Obama's recent Super Delegates get small print at THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE. Are you folks making a side change to keep this Primary Season going ???? Shame on you !!! (This probably will not get posted).

    Dear Ummm,

You are obviously for Hillary, who is behind. If she were the front-runner, she wouldn't debate either. Why? Because she is a manipulative and mean-spirited and only thinks about Hillary.

Anybody who votes for a self-centered selfish 100 million dollar crybaby is delusional.

CNN, brilliant news! The folks at BBC must be amused, to say the least.

He can at least run up and down the court with 19 year old stars. Let's see that with Hillary Clinton and John McCain...now that'd be news!

*Imagining McCain running with his little hands wavering* hahaha.

All you Hillary fans, he is doing what he does best. At least he is not trying to sip alcohol with a bunch of blue collars and using their dilect to impress them for votes. Obama is the best candidate whether the media agrees to it or not.

To: bloggers enough, the facts are there the Clintons did start using the race card on Obama since SC. You are so blind not to see what is there because it doesn't make Hillary look good.

CNN: Let's see if you post this.

It is refreshing to see that our future President is still young and active enough to play b-ball with those young guys. Its not really news, but it is an uplifting thought that here is a story without negativity.

The guy is everything Hillary is not....and that includes being human.

I guess the Iraq war and $4 gas, and other such trivial issues do not exsist anymore cause now we have to have this all important article to worry about. I guess it is a bit of a pile on now. Playing Rev Wright every 5 minutes is not enough, now this would be president can't make a bball shot, he can't bowl, that is terrible. I will tell you what remember the stairs that Rocky ran up in the movie, who ever can get to the top first wins the nomination, I think Hillary should throw that challenge out there. Maybe that will be the headline tomorrow.

Obama is so connected with REAL people. And to the haters...there is no need for another debate.

For what the last one provided we could have saved time and contacted GLOBE, THE NATIONAL INQUIRE, or MEDIAOUTTAKE or something.

i could care less about obama's ineptitude on the court, much like his political career, I'm more curious if UNC can get into trouble for this? I hate Tobacco road basketball... i hope they lose a scholly.

To those who criticize Obama's game, I would gladly see what Hillary would do on a basketball court or any other sports for that matter. It would be great for the media, Obama should issue a basketball challenge to her to see if she would accept. If she can accept that, maybe then he could consider another debate with her.

I guess the NBA (consisting of 90% black) is going to endorse Obama. I hope we see Hillary with a hockey stick so the NHL (consisting of 90% white) will endorse her.

where is my post?- not vulgar or nasty enough for CNN?
First they called us Wal-Mart democrats.

Instead of peeling away the college educated, high income Hillary supporters, we saw through the hype of hope propaganda.

We strongly united behind Hillary, the champion of ALL democrats.

We stood in solidarity behind ALL democrats regardless of race, ethnicity, income, age, geography, gender or creed.

The strategy of hate while preaching unity will not fool nor win over voters.

Shoots but doesn't score may be the last words from the Obama campaign, when they finally turn out the lights, and Obama goes back to his boring Senate job.
