Obama shoots, but doesn't score

CNN

Watch Obama play basketball with some UNC players.

(CNN) - Barack Obama is known for his strong basketball skills, but the Illinois senator proved no match for the UNC Tar Heels Tuesday.

Obama practiced with the team for several minutes Tuesday morning, often struggling to keep pace with the Final Four-team and failing to sink a basket - at least when the cameras were turned on.

“These guys are a lot better than me,” Obama said as he was running down the full length of the court and trying to keep pace with the Division I players, including Tyler Hansbrough, the national player of the year.

At one point, Coach Roy Williams scolded his players for not guarding the presidential candidate.

“You guys are leaving the next president of the United States wide open,” Williams joked.

Obama took a couple of shots, but neither fell through. His campaign says he did make a three-pointer after reporters were escorted off the court.

Obama has time to play for the media but no time to debate Hillary. Obama wants to run out the clock, but we know what can happen like the recently concluded college basket ball tournament where the winning team came from behind. Obama is not ready. He is afraid to debate Hillary on the issues, why do you think that he can stand up to many of the world leaders who do not see eye to eye with Americas? Obama has proven that he is a great talker but no inner strength. Hillary is the real deal. A woman of substance, determined to keep fighting because she knows that the presidency is where the buck stops. Obama will not win the Presidency if the democrats are foolish enough to nominate him. Love her or hate her, Hillary is a woman of strength and perseverance. She has the experience and the will to make a difference.

What is he doing? I thought he was running for the presidency?! Boy, his actions remind me more and more like Bush's attitude toward his job: Vacation all I ever wanted....

Appropriately titled. You got it right he shoots off his mouth, but doesn't score with the people. His support has topped out and Hillary is on the Rise. Go Hillary.

This keeps Obama way from the real issues and questions he doesn't have a clue on how to answer. Remember, he stayed away from the media 4 days prior to the PA election and went into hiding for a time after so as not to answer the tough questions as to why he lost by such a wide margin.

He's more like Cheney, hiding in his fox hole. He won't be able to pull this off against the republicans.

Nobody will want to play any kind of sport with Hillary.
She will stop the game in the middle of the course and ask the referee to change the rules so she can win.

wonderful, is this news? why CNN does not say anything about the former pastor for Hillary Clinton who was prosecuted for touching a 7-year-old girl? Does this silence have to do with the fact thta Hillary paid advertisment on CNN website?

While I would prefer Obama addressing the issues, at least he was engaged in a REAL sport.

Clinton is busy comparing herself to Rocky, a FICTIONAL character, and her supporters lap it up. How pathetic is that?

I am waiting for the first pro-Obama poster to say that Obama is the Prince of Peace.

One Obama supporter has already posted this: "people forget Obama is not a man, he's a movement"

Just chill all you obama haters!!! I'd rather see a fit person on the court excercising rather than seeing a very overweight person hiding her rear with pant suits chugging beer and doing shots!!! Like mother like daughter emphasizing the obesity crisis. Somehow she doesn't include this in her health care policy!!! All you people will try to grasp at any straws to discredit him no matter how irrelevant! she only wants a debate moderated by HER to only talk about Wright, etc-not ISSUES important to the american people-get real!! No wonder noneducated people are voting for her-they don't know any better!!!!

  25. Physical fitness actually IS a factor

No doubt this campaign has been and will continue to be incredibly grueling for the candidates. Obama's adherence to his exercise routine helps maintain his energy and positive outlook. This will continue to be an advantage for him as president. It is much easier to be productive when you're aerobically fit. Also less prone to injury and illness.
While this is not as newsworthy as many of the campaign issues that are largely being ignored, it's more pertinent than a lot of the tabloid dirt that seems to be getting more airtime.
Obama's physical fitness parallels his fiscal fitness: he's in for the long run and has both physical and financial staying power. I think he can wear down his opponents on both fronts.
