(CNN) – Campaigning for his wife in North Carolina, former President Bill Clinton said Wednesday that he’d be “very surprised if oil goes below a hundred dollars a barrel again in my lifetime.”
“There is a limited amount of oil in the ground and everyday more and more people can afford to buy it so they are gonna bid the price up,” said Clinton, who added that drivers have been forced to choose “between driving to work and having enough food for their kids.”
His wife Hillary Clinton has proposed a gas tax holiday – paid for in part by higher taxes on oil companies - that would give consumers a price break at the pump this summer. The New York senator has also called for a Federal Trade Commission investigation into possible market manipulation by oil companies or speculators.
Bill knows what he's talking about and people would be wise to listen up. I would also like to say that I've been astounded by the Dems and others on this site who have shown absolutely no respect for Bill since January. Have you forgotten that he gave America 8 years of peace and prosperity?
Right, no more oil. We get it. How about you get the Oil Companies to release all the patents they've snatched up over the years that prevents us from getting FREE energy like the Tesla Rod.

While there is some argument that easy oil we will peak sometime in the next decade. In terms of total oil supply to the world, we're a long way from reaching peak oil because it doesn't take into account unconventional oil.
If America would only committed itself to increasing it's domestic supply, publically, oil prices around the world would drop like a rock. Of course there's only one government body that can do that..., Congress.
Obama is part of the problem by accepting huge $$$ donations from oil lobbyists.

A gas tax holiday? Hmmmmmm...let me see, i fill my 14 gallon tank 3 times a mont h for an average cost of about $156 per month. That holiday tax would save me about $28.00 over 3 months. Let's get something real done and not play on people's emotions about issues they really care about. If our boss told us he was giving us a raise of $2 per week ...99% of us would curse him/her under their breath..Billary and McWalkingCain need to get in touch for real.

You are obviously a Hillary supporter. Not an Obama, Hillary supporter as you claim. If you were supporting both you would admit that Obama has won this nomination fairly and within the rules and that Hillary cannot catch him. Yet because others criticize the Clinton's for staying in this race, pandering to voters who do not study the issues carefully and damaging the Dem party as well as trying to damage Obama you get angry at the Obama supporters. Bill is right on, as always. Obama can't hold a candle to him. I hate to say it, I really do, but for the first time in my life, I wlll vote Republican if Obama is the candidate.
A lot of different countries have been looking into an alternative source of energy for many many years. The problem is the money to test and implement other sources. Cars and trucks would have to be redesigned and parts made and the same for homes and businesses. Who would pay for all this? Who would pay for the new energy plants?
Analysts have come out against Hillary's tax plan on gas as being a bad plan and would hurt worse in the following months.

Two important names Clinton supporters should Google search. Norman Hsu (got 3 years in prison) and William Procanick (got 3 years in prison). Hsu was Hillary Clinton's major fundraiser, convicted of fraud. And Procanick was Hillary's pastor. Convicted of child-sex abuse. It's all there for you to see.

OK, so a gas tax holiday, then, is just delaying the inevitable, isn't it, Bill? Labor Day would come along and suddenly gas would shoot up 20 cents in one day and we would have lost a ton of jobs over the summer because we wanted to save ourselves a tank of gas over the summer? Wake up, media types, and see that the Clinton's have just admitted their plan is out of touch with the real problems this country faces!
Bill is right. Although that is had to accept, oil prices will always be at above 100$ a barrel. Unless a new source of energy is found or cars start running at 100 mpg.
Ok its simple the government could have stoped the high prices long ago. But why would they do that , it would under cut Bushs war and oil profit. If you honestly think that bush has nothing to gain from high gas prices then you my friend are a retard. Bush lives in Texas home of oil giants like exxon not to metion a few more. So with this in mind , remember that when you vote , if your not carefull you vote for high gas , home foreclosures , jumpimg food prices, pure corruption , and the unlikely hood that any one cares , the reason . Only the rich set the standard for what we see. I mean if you think anyone at CNN is voting for Obama or Mc Cain then you are a bigger sucker than you thought you were. Pay close attention to the so called New Agencys like Fox, CNN, MSNBC.......They all have something to gain from keeping a Republican in the office. Proof Republicans only care for the rich or well to do. That puts these hipocratic agencys at the helm of the ship, so when the ship starts sinking for you, let CNN, Fox and MSNBC know how you feel.
