Clinton up with new ad starring Easley

Easley stars in a new campaign ad for Clinton.

Easley stars in a new campaign ad for Clinton.

(CNN) - Hillary Clinton's campaign launched a new ad in North Carolina Thursday that features the state's governor, Mike Easley.

Easley, who endorsed Clinton earlier this week, says the New York senator is "so resilient, so determined."

"These are tough times in America and I think that Hillary is the one we can count on to get the job done," Easley also says in the 30-second spot, titled "Determined."

The ad comes five days before the state's May 6 primary. Barack Obama is considered the favorite, though recent polls suggest Clinton is gaining support.

Full script after the jump

"Determined"

TV :30

Gov. Easley: These are tough times in America and I think that Hillary is the one we can count on to get the job done.

She's going to turn the economy around, she's going bring new jobs, she's going to get some tax cuts for the middle class for a change.

She's going to make health care available to everybody in this country, and she's going to do everything she can to help every child reach their full potential.

She is so resilient, so determined.

She knows how to deliver.

She'll be a great president.

Hillary Clinton: I'm Hillary Clinton and I approved this message.

Why isn't CNN highlighting the latest polls in North Carolina showing Hillary closing on Obama? Instead, we hear about yet another turn-coat delegate. If this was reversed (and it WAS when Obama was supposedly "gaining" on Hillary in the recent Pennsylvania primary) we have the screaming headlines.

I feel strongly that North Carolina, home of my UK ancestors, is going to end up in Hillary Clinton's column of wins. This lady is presidential and is perfect to represent us as the first female American president.

Good for her she will be a fighter to the end while Obama steals the nominee because of Howard Dean the all time loser.

When O'reilly and Hillary were talking about RICH people did I hear Hillary say that it's nice that we're RICH?

Please clear this up for me.

  5. OBAMA SUPPORTER IN IOWA

If anyone thinks the Republicans won't use the fact that Bill Clinton was impeached for lying to the American people in a campaign against Hillary (if she were the nominee) , they are sadly mistaken. The worst thing they can find on Obama are words his pastor used. For heaven's sake people, wake up!!! Let's unite behind Obama and put an end to the Republicans chances in the fall.

I would like to know what this guy has been promised.
Cash for hisnext campaign or a job in the white house.
Either way is reaks of stench and corruption.

More delegates going to Obama now.

Let the Fat Lady Sing baby

It's all over but the sniveling by Hillary Fanatics.

By the end of May, Hillar will be forced out.

The woman will obviously say and do anything to win, even lie and smear and scare tatics.

Her adds remind me of Dick-smack Cheney that told the Public if we dont for Bush we will be attacked again.

These people have used fear to try and get votes, that is because they are self serving and eho maniacs and want to score huge money.

The owmn is obviously a FRAUD and this guy is a CROOK.............

    Let the Fat Lady Sing.................................

H, Clinton is using the same strategy in Indiana she used in Pennsylvania. It might work!!

However, I liked the video that I read yesterday that points out the Barak's economic plan in better. It was an interview with 2 Nobel Prize winning economists who were asked, "Which candidate's economic plan is best for our country?" Their answers: Obama

    Economist #1:
The plan H. Cllinton is using is like the one her husband used in 1992 and too many things have changed since they were in office and that plan can't work in the current America. And that is the only plan she knows.
    Economist #2:
A new approach with new ideas will be more successful. He had heard Obama's economic speech and was very impressed.

I would consider a Nobel Prize winner's research and ideas quite substantial. It is something to take note of, at least.

(With someone who was the First Lady, who's husband was the President and with the whole family campaigning every day with a name that well-known, why would she need any ads? She should be 20 points ahead against an unknown like Obama.

Excellent! I am so happy to see that our Governor of NC has stepped out and supported Hillary! I promise, as a registered democrat, that if Obama is our choice, I will vote Republican. That is how adamat I am in my decision.

Easley, who endorsed Clinton earlier this week, says the New York senator is "so resilient, so determined."

A psychopath or a programmed robot is also extremely resilient and determined. But we need wisdom and outstanding leadership in our leader. The Clintons are programmed to do just one thing: Return to the White House at all costs.

Governor Easley doesn't know what race we are talking about.
This is not American Robot Olympiad.

Out with the old, Easely=old=out...Doesn't matter what he says. He is on his way out, and is not very popular in his state with certain voters anyway. His endorsement will not sway them.

Some of you Obama fans are just stupid. He can not run for another term. He is in his 2nd term now. This just goes to show how CLUELESS Obama and his cult really are!

Sure... get Easley to say good things when he has no idea what he is talking about... So the uneducated Hillary supporter can be happy if Hillary is president and we end up a nuclear war with Iran... Good job Hillbots... Why don't you actually read the issues instead of distracting yourself from the truth. Hillary gas solution does nothing but save us pocket change and gives the gas company the ability to negate it with higher prices. And anyone would support someone who said they would obliterate another country with nuclear attacks has a screw loose.

    THIS IS FOR CNN HATERS

I don't understand why if you hate CNN you keep reading their articles.
if you don't like CNN because you think that they lean more to Clinton, you should go to MSNBC.
    .................MSNBC is 100% for OBAMA...........

  23. Obama will be President

This guy looks like Bush's cousin...I shouldn't be harsh though because at this rate he'll be an Obama supporter by the end of the week. Does anybody question why Hillary's supporters are jumping ship.

Easley you just stepped on the Titanic!
