Clinton up with new ad starring Easley

Easley stars in a new campaign ad for Clinton.

Easley stars in a new campaign ad for Clinton.

(CNN) - Hillary Clinton's campaign launched a new ad in North Carolina Thursday that features the state's governor, Mike Easley.

Easley, who endorsed Clinton earlier this week, says the New York senator is "so resilient, so determined."

"These are tough times in America and I think that Hillary is the one we can count on to get the job done," Easley also says in the 30-second spot, titled "Determined."

The ad comes five days before the state's May 6 primary. Barack Obama is considered the favorite, though recent polls suggest Clinton is gaining support.

Full script after the jump

"Determined"

TV :30

Gov. Easley: These are tough times in America and I think that Hillary is the one we can count on to get the job done.

She's going to turn the economy around, she's going bring new jobs, she's going to get some tax cuts for the middle class for a change.

She's going to make health care available to everybody in this country, and she's going to do everything she can to help every child reach their full potential.

She is so resilient, so determined.

She knows how to deliver.

She'll be a great president.

Hillary Clinton: I'm Hillary Clinton and I approved this message.

Obama has more states, more popular vote, more pledged delegates. These remaining superdelegates are so wrong. People are reporting how they are waiting to see what happened in NC and IN....that's wrong....this is not good for the party...i believe they are enjoying the press, media and sweat for their vote....they dont deserve to have a vote other then where they reside....the people have spoken and they are still speaking, it's clear those remaing superdelgate who are for hillary do not want UNITY.....Obama is only unelectible because the superdelgates and clinton campaign is pushing for him to be unelectible. It hurts her to admit the truth....she didn't run a good campaign and instead of taking the high road she shows reslience and a fighting attitude...it doesn't look good on you. Obama 2008

Hillary is a liar and a cheat. In addition, she will do anything to win this election, and for the wrong reasons. She will never get my vote! If Senator Obama does not win the primary election, I will vote republican.

Remember, she will need the Black vote!

Easley is a wise man. He knows that Obama has little chance in the General election with all his flaws.

It is funny to me that the only thing Obama and his supporters cling to is the Math now. "Hope", "Change" and "Judgment" have died.

While the Obama surrogates are bussy fishing for superdelegates, the Clinton group are concentrating on lowering the so called Obama's electability as President! Obama once led Hillary by two digits- percentile points! Guess what,Obama supporters, the lead has shrunk to 1%.This is according to the Nationwide poll as of last night,4/30/08.Here is some thing for the Obama trackers to worry about.

Please watch Mike Easley's interview with Charlie Rose to learn more about this guy. he did not even give a chance Obama to make his case ... his reasons and comparison are absurd to say the least. he should have given Obama a chance and met him in person to learn who is more enthusiastic in person than on TV screens ..

Easley can't run again because of term limits. He has nothing to lose and he wants a position in DC. Anyhow, he's not exactly what you would call "well-liked" in our state and his endorsement of Senator Clinton can actually benefit Senator Obama here in NC.

Don't cast your vote for a Chinese spy. Vote wisely, vote for Barack Obama.

What Clinton doesn't tell voters is that Magnequench, which made the magnets that helped to guide the precision-guided missiles, the so-called smart bombs, was sold to Chinese interests during Bill Clinton's administration, which okayed the move despite concerns about national security and eventual job loss.

To be more specific on his real estate dealings.....how many of us had a property gain a value of $648,000 in a year? look this man up and his property at Cannonsgate on the NC coast. Unreal. Then you can look up how he got his friends a nice deal operating a state owned marina (Southport Marina). A dirty politician endorses another dirty politician (that's the headline here).

This is good news at a time when Wright made things go so wrong for Obama!
He will be the democratic candidate in the fall and our next president.
That he has overcome the terrible and downright dirty attacks from the Clinton Camp and his own pastor and survived tells me he can take a hitting and keep on ticking!!
    Go Obama!

Clinton has made promises about jobs many times while campaigning, and delivered never.
When she was running for Senator of NY, talking about jobs disappearing in upstate NY, and used her "Jobs. Jobs. Jobs. Jobs." utterances before. She totally failed in accomplishing anything to help beleagured workers.
Raised in a privileged family, she is the Elitist in the campaign, not Barack Obama. Just look at their roots.

And all my comments always disappear..

    Hillary –

Already angered Iran by threatening to obliterate them with a nuclear attack

Campaign Fraud case vs Peter Paul

Pro-Nafta in 90's and now against it when needed to be elected

AGAINST unions while on board for walmart

Lies about Bosnia and everything else under the sun

Requested an earmark 3 times larger than any other senator

Takes 4.2 million for current lobbyists

Uses a firm to help campaign that lobbies for issues directly against what she "believes"

    800,000 from Columbia

Experts agree her Gas solution is a joke and of no help

I could go on for days yet people still support her... YIKES.. I am sad to be an American if people in my country want her as president.

I can't understand why any Democrat, who is not a racist, would supoort Hillary and her lies. Nevertheless it is good that superdelegates get off the fence now – even if they happen to fall on Hillary's side. That is democracy!

won't have to walk far. And it will not even be illegal ! You talk
about scams? 5 Million from Dubai. $800,000 from Columbia

What have you been drinking, bigben ? The Polls show Obama with a double digit lead in NC. It's a landslide Obama victory here.

There are just too many strange Obama supporters. You are rude, closed minded, and lacking in respect for democratic fairness.

You certainly have the right to enthusiastically support your candidate and to see virtues in him that you do not see in Hillary Clinton or John McCain. You do not, however, have the right to insult and threaten every other voter who does not share your opinion, as many of you do here toward Governor Easley. The people who do that are not the kind of people I want to listen to – and it is about time your candidate Obama spoke up and told you all to calm down.

Easley's endorsement and ad means absolutely nothing to me. I saw an interview on PBS last night with Charlie Rose and Easley basically admitted he never game Obama a chance. He had already made his choice and told Obama's campaign not to even bother calling him to try to make their case. That makes him very close minded to me, therefore his opinion has no value. He read about both candidates, but only talked to one. Is that how you make important decisions in life. Only look at part the informatin available and ignore everything else. Sounds a lot like someone else I know (Hillary ignoring the Iraq intelligence report).

To the woman who said the people who endorse Obama better hope they don't need any favors in Washington if Hillary wins.

Really, isn't it the favors of Washington that have brought down our country to the level it is at now?

Thank you for sharing that insight. I believe I will vote Obama.

    H. Clinton is using the same approach she did in Pennsylvania hoping for a win. Will it work here?

Her foreign policy scares me to death. Her economic plan won't work – according to two economicsts who are Nobel Prize winners.
They have heard Obama's economic plan and believe his is superior.
Reason 1 – Clinton is using the plan her husband used. One economist said that too many things have changed since then and that plan won't work because NAFTA is hurting us today among other reasons.
Reason 2 – The other economist said that we need a new approach with new ideas if we are going to get beyond the problems with the current economy.
