Clinton in new ad: I'm a 'fighter'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/05/03/art.turn.youtube.jpg caption="The Clinton campaign launched its first advertisement in Oregon."]
(CNN)—Hillary Clinton’s campaign launched its first television advertisement in Oregon Friday, casting herself as a “fighter,” who will meet the nation’s challenges.

“Oregon knows that with bold ideas there’s no challenge we can’t meet,” Clinton tells viewers.

In the 30 second spot called “Turn,” Clinton highlights her plans for transforming the environment, providing affordable health coverage and her mission to bring troops home from Iraq.

“It’s going to take a fighter to meet these challenges,” she says. “If you give me the chance together, we’ll turn our country around.”

The state of Oregon holds its primary May 20 via mail-in ballots. There are 52 delegates at stake.

    Keep your head up Hillary!

You are a Clinton, and we know NEVER to underestimate a Clinton!

O"dumb dumb will lose Indiana, and North Carolina will be very close.

I wish Rev. Wright would put on a funny suit, jump around a bit, bounce a rubber ball off his nose and stir up some chaos!

If Wright appears and creates some controversy before Tuesday, Hillary, you can go ahead and finalize the deal!

    Where R U Rev. Wright?

    Go Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!

...she's a lowdown dirty shameless fighter no doubt, stooping to any means to push her own party rules, win the Dem nominee, or for her own way as the one and only way to solve the health care issues....wow, what a fighter...! i thought at least she'd make a good sec of state for 'health care issues', but with her attitude of "its my way or the highway", she'd probably be best off in the kitchen 😀

  8. OBAMA 4 President

CNN Get your act together, you're reporting the results incorrectly. Results are as follows on 5/3/08:

    OBAMA: 1747 = 1493 pledged delegates + 254 superdelegates.
    CLINTON: 1607 = 1333 pledged delegates + 274 superdelegates.

CLINTON IS BEHIND by 140 total dels, GET OVER IT!!!!

OBAMA NEEDS 278 additional dels to win
CLINTON needs 418 additional dels to win

CNN publish this to give the people accurate information to make good decisions

This is depressing… poor Obama has to fight against his own big lying mouth, his wife's big anit-American mouth, the great Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Rev. Wright, his own spiritual advisor!

    This is NOT fair!

Please Obamamites and all media, please help the poor downtrodden Obama!

    HILLARY FOREVER!

Hillary is a fighter – like an infantry soldier that lives only for the lower mano a mano battle.

Obama is a leader – as in commander-in-chief.

Fighter? More like – liar, liar pantsuit on fire more likely. She cares only for her own political gain - just like Billary. Time for real Democrats to toss these two in the trash heap of hateful politics and move on to a better future for all America.

Sen. Clinton recognizes that the high price of fuel is a crisis for many Americans, if not the wealthy or the television pundits. Where there is a crisis, BOTH a short-term and a long-term solution is needed. Sen. Obama apparently doesn't get this. I believe North Carolinians do.

Hillary is sure fighting to HIDE HER & BILL'S 2007 TAXES!!!! She is the only candidate who has filed for an extension, meaning voters in the primaries will not know where the millions of dollars they earned in 2007 came from.

How can people vote for a candidate will FIGHT NOT TO LET VOTERS KNOW THE FULL TRUTH ABOUT HERSELF?

The gas tax break is such a joke - she cannot do anything until she is President (long shot), which is Jan 2009.

She will still be "FIGHTING" for promises she knows she cannot fulfill during the 3 months of the summer she has promised to lower gas taxes for consumers. Voters will just hear her empty promises while they continue to pay high gas prices at the pump during the summer. What a joke and voters fall for it!!!

This country needs a fighter like Hillary. She knows the issues and has great plans on how to achieve goals to get the job done. She has really done her homework on so many issues, it amazes me.

Obama fights when someone calls him a politician.

May I make a suggestion? When "Comments are closed" for a specific article, wouldn't it be a good idea to state that fact at the
beginning of the article rather than at the end?

Well, as they say, "violence begets violence" and "what you resist, persists". As they also say, "you get more with honey than with vinegar".

Non-Violent communication works. Aggressive fighting doesn't.

I prefer Obama's quiet, centered toughness and diplomacy. He is obviously standing the heat in the kitchen much better than Hillary has demonstrated with her hysterical "Shame on You!" outbursts and manipulative games. Obama stands his ground with dignity and integrity.

Obama continues to prove his trustworthiness., whereas Billary, due to all the fighting, will get overtaken by the riptide of their own creation. Obama's calm dignity will allow him to be carried to calmer waters.
