Awaiting one county

(CNN) - Hillary Clinton leads in Indiana by four points, 52-48. But heavily-Democratic Lake County has yet to report in. It’s home to one of the state’s largest cities, Gary – and a major bloc of African-American voters.

Lake County officials have said they are waiting to count all 11,370 absentee ballots before reporting results – but that’s just about all they’re saying.

“We have called a couple of times unsuccessfully,” Pam Potesta, Democratic co-director of the Election Division in the Indiana Secretary of State’s Office, told CNN Tuesday evening. “There was no answer. We haven’t heard anything. I don’t want to assume they are having problems, but they are a large county. One thing they have against them, if you want to call it that, is they had an extra hour because of the time change.”

Potesta added that “it is not uncommon” for larger counties to take a little longer in reporting their results.

The pro-Obama posts are getting out of hand. We need to be a little more like the man himself. Obama takes the high road (and yea he has gone negative, but he has had to in response to Hillary. He cant be a doormat either.) But, bottom line, we all need to come together in the Fall. Just realize how your posts may push people away from the guy you support. There's my getalong speech.

Yeah....Obama in '08.....He is going to be the nominee!! all right...finally! Tim Russer just said it! Hillary be a good democrat and step down. Michigan and Florida didn't follow the rules...I'm sure if it was reverse HIllary would be saying Obama should step down, so HIllary be a woman and step down. We need to bring our party back together.

What's the delay? I suspect it is corruption. Is this how Obama expects to win – by rigging the ballots? Is the Black community of Lake County behind this? A full invesigation of this outright voter fraud is needed. What a disgrace and who do they think we are? A bunch of idiots?

The reason for the delay in this county was so that Hillary could have a 'victory' speech before the results of that county (that would close the gap between her and Obama)

    This is huge.
Obama currently has over 75% of the vote in this county, with roughly 30% of the precincts reporting in. That may not seem like a lot, but the margin of votes is HUGE: 27,000 to 9,000.

why dosnt obama just tell the American people as to who is telling the whole truth and facing up to all the" political truths "thrown at him?do you Americans want a honest president or a politically oriented one?
i am an Indian and would always choose a honest man/woman if we had one.

I cannot believe how and when the media is so against Hillary. I hope and pray that Hillary makes the people recount those votes. Why is CNN electing the president of the United States? I have never seen so one sided reporting as I have this time. What will it be like in November when their person gets beat and we have another 8 years of the same that we have had. Remember what we got 8 years ago because we let someone elect the president. Wake up America you will not know America after 2 or 3 years.

Maybe you're right Brent; but if HRC is able to somehow pull this out I'll be sporting a Nader sticker. Fact is, unless Hill gets the nomination because of a catastrophic Obama meltdown, she won't beat McCain either. I'd bet the house.

The information below is from the Northwest Indiana Times.
These numbers are later than yours.

    President of the
    United States
    Barack Obama 46,759
    Hillary Clinton 25,100

If we can't trust Hillary to follow her OWN PARTY'S RULES and she keeps pleading for Michigan and Florida to be counted then how can we trust her to follow any LAWS of the US? Do not be fooled by her screams that it is undemocratic to "take away the vote" from Michigan and Florida. It was and is a political party nomination, not an election!

Hillary was saying she will go all the way tonight only to get her 5 million back. She is even offering people a gas tax break so they can send to her campaign that she knows she can not win under any circumstances now.
She would need to get 85% of all remaining contests to tie him in the popular vote and pledged democrats.

Time for her to talk with Obama and try to convert him to the dark side now as she and Bill have been for years .. they will try to cut some deal and make him a Washington insider. Now it will get juicy, start reading between the lines people.

    1. The people that say they won't vote for Obama won't vote democratic in November anyway. People are sick of reading your overblown comments in message boards like these. Get over yourself. See the comments below.

    2. Isn't it ironic that "change" is Obama's central message when his rhetoric has stayed consistent. Hillary's message changes every day. Maybe she should steal Obama's message again and run with it.

    3. This race is done. Stick a fork in it. It will be a pleasure watching Clinton forego a graceful exit. She is now set for public humiliation. Get out now. Save yourself. Save the party.

Gotta love the Hillbots here crying in their spilt milk about how Obama can't win in November.

You clowns do not get it, it is YOUR JUDGEMENT THAT IS FLAWED. You backed a LOSER. Your opinion and judge of future events shows you do not know what you are talking about.

Hillbots = So impotent, so wrong. so long.

I will call this Chicago style ppolitics and more of the same if Obama gets this state because of Lake County. I saw his handouts in Lake County, they were so negative and misbelieving that I couldn't believe it. I bet this is how he has been getting a free ride with the race card this entire election season.

mgoody: I would urge you to look at both sides. There have been quite a bit of negative attacks from the Clinton side as well. This is not a one-sided issue. There is much bad blood between candidates.

I hope nothing fishy is going on in Lake County. It will destroy the Democratic party if fraud is found going on there.
