Schneider: White working-class voters stick with Clinton

Voters cast their ballots in Indianapolis.

Voters cast their ballots in Indianapolis.

(CNN) - Barack Obama’s troubles with white working class voters continue to cost him dearly at the polls: Hillary Clinton captured the votes of two-thirds of Indiana voters who lack a college degree; the two split the white college-educated vote.

Clinton’s push for the gun vote seems to have paid off: half the state’s Democratic primary voters are gun owners, according to early exit polls, they supported Clinton over Obama, 61 to 39 percent.

    Good for Obama.
I don't want the white racists deciding who runs this country.
They have been deciding for 200 years and look at the economic, miltary and education mess we are in.

Obama is getting the educated, articulate, positive and forward like-minded citizens of the country, who are white, black, hispanic, etc., who are fed up with stale typical Washington politics. No mystery there.

Good job – The uneducated and old. Great that our future hangs in the balance with people like that.

  5. Are You Serious?

Clinton supporters should get an education. The Clintons
are worth about 120 million dollars (made after they left the White
House) and they are for the common people? Yeah, sure!
    They define elitism.
The Clintons are all about money. The Clintons are for -
    the Clintons.

I would just like to say to the rest of the country that I am sorry. Things are not looking so great right now, and it's my state's fault. We had our chance and we blew it.

Strange that the people of Indiana would rather vote for someone who they do not trust instead of a black canidate. Sad, and they say southeners are racists.

These voters are too busy trying to eke out a living to read about her $2,3 BIlLLION in earmarks in the NY Times. Too bad the mainstream media has focused on pap and not the important issues of earmarks, FEC violations and fines of HRC's campaign, her incendiary remarks about Iran, her realtionship with Calvin O. Butts, and the Paul v. Clinton trial. If they had time to to their own research, they wouldn't be voting for her.

It is time for a winner . This has been gone on long enough and voters are beginning to not want to go out and vote just because of this fact. I have family in Indiana and a couple of them had said they are not going to go out and vote because they feel like it is being controlled by the media and there say want count. No matter what I say they are not leaving but I made my vote awhile back before the madness. Go Obama!!

Hope the supers are paying attention...do we really want the uneducated, gun-toting, bible-thumping small-town, out-of-touch bigots choosing who runs our country and makes policy?

Give me an educated, thoughtful, city-bred elitist any day.

    JD:

I'm gonna go ahead and say it:

You don't deserve to vote. Ever. The new country we're building has neither room nor use for you and your pathetic ilk.

Seriously: you are holding back the progress of the entirety of civilization.

    Stop that.

Obama has won in many white states. The Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity voters for Clinton had an impact in Ohio, Texas, Penn

As people get to know Obama better, they will come around.

Democrats saying they will not vote for Obama are cutting off their nose to spit there face. More dead soliders and innocent people in Iraq. The rich get richer with big business controlling the Republicans.
