Lieberman increases criticism of Barack Obama

(CNN)— Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman echoed presumptive nominee John McCain's increasing criticism of Barack Obama’s willingness to meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

In an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday, the Democrat turned independent said he didn’t question Obama’s commitment when it comes to the Middle East, but said the Illinois senator's failure to set pre-conditions on the meeting shows inexperience, and “not only gives prestige [to Ahmedinajad], but threatens our allies in the region.”

“One of John’s strengths is that our allies and friends will trust him and our enemies will fear him," said Lieberman, who has backed the Arizona senator's presidential bid. "McCain knows when to be tough and when to be soft.”

Lieberman said the Democratic race wasn't over yet - but he said it was pretty clear to him that Obama will be the nominee, adding “it will be a tough [general election] campaign.”

    Old story:

Question: How to make presidential race endless? (for 2000 election).

Answer: Take a Jewish guy as your runmate (Liberman). You will recount voices forever (Florida).

Don't consider me as an antisemit. I am jewish.

Reading all these comments you can see that we live on the big can with gun powder. Hillary is the most dangerous, she has unhealthy FIRE in her eyes.

Of these three people Obama is the best although some concerns exist. Hopefully Democracy (what is this?) has some mechanisms to correct situation if we will make a mistake.

  5. Blame Canada?

Hey, American in Canada... The American people DID vote, and they chose Obama. Just chill out and vote Democrat. Obama is either going to be an amazing president, or he's not going to be. We know that with McCain we're getting a warmonger, so I think I'll roll the dice with Obama.

Obama has too much baggage. He needs to bow out gracefully.

    Goodbye Obama!

I guess now would be a good time to mention that, even with MI and FL, Hillary's still losing the popular vote by somewhere between 90 and 180 thousand votes.

three reasons for voting NO BAMA are CNN ,MSNBC, and obamas little experience and hidden past. Many democrats should vote for MCCAIN .Now a BIGGER REASON TO VOTE FOR OBAMA VICE MCCAIN. THE sleaziest, most disgusting, Butt kissing ,low life politician in my lifetime of 78 years. His name is Joe [stab you in the back LIEBERMAN who is probably Mccain's top choice for VICE PRES. This double crossing, back stabbing,{ democrat, independent, or any thing else that needs a dishonorable candidate,] is about the only reason That americans should vote for Obama vice a senile old coot and his suck up partner. CNN and MSNBC plus THE KENNEDY FAMILY have set new [LOW] standards for integrity and honest y of the media and long time honorable Kennedy familyas Ichons of the democratic party.

ONLY Obama did not VOTE to send out troops to Iraq, and he opposed it from the beginning.

Here is a three part film about Iraq, very brief ... check them out, in order, here:

It is partisan to be sure, but also loaded with lots of facts about why we went and how it is going.

Well said LonghornMama. The media selected W Bush and are at it again selecting the worse than Bush candidate. The DNC hierarchy do not value the votes of women and blue collar whites and it shows.
Let them win without that coalition in November. Keep your registration democratic and vote for the other democrat to show them we count also. Other is on every ballot in every state already. Check other and write in Hillary R Clinton. Make it a four horserace in November. Joe Lieberman made it a three horserace in Connecticut afther the party backstabbing and WON. Let's do it again. America is worth fighting for.

There goes that fear tactic again. I don't think John McCain really instills fear in anyone. What about respect?

Lieberman is driven by one dream only:the bombing of Iran.
Hillary wants to obliterate Iran, so of course, she's his gal.
Lieberman supported the Bush war because it was supposed to save Israel–from any real concession to a Palestinian state.
Lieberman is the fanatic voice of the relentless Israeli lobby–they want us bombing Iran, and extending the war into territory. (McCain also supports this policy. His spiritual guide, Rod Parsley, is a televangelist megachurch pastor from Ohio who hates Islam. Parsley has called on Christians to wage war against Islam, which he considers to be a "false religion.")
Hillary, meanwhile, has announced she would "devastate Iran".
Israel will not rest until we bomb Iran, and then prove to the Arab world that their lives are of no more purpose than the lives of the Palestinians surpressed for sixty years. So, it is time to say NO loud to fascist dinosaurs like Mr. Lieberman and the reckless, failed militarism of Israel.

You are very caught up in web lies looks like you have been on one of the GOP websites that does not but spread trash and lies! Either that or you can not read! No one has the experience to be president! It is like having kids no one is ready when that first one comes along. Mothers and father relay on those around them grandparents and aunts and uncles to guide them. For the president It is more important to have judgment than you claim of experience! That he has you can tell that simply by looking at the example of his campaign. He has went up against the strongest and most powerful forces in are government throwing everything they could collectively find and he is still standing there, and still winning. so please go educate yourself to facts and get away from the GOP Obama bashing web sites they have no truth in them and you can verify most of the info as false or subjective within 5-15 min on Google it is not that hard!

How soon do we forget that Obama was badly beaten by Hillary in the Pennsylvania debate, it really shows Obama does not do well under pressure and he's the weaker candidate. And we expect him to lead our country?

Obama 08 There has to be some talk to the guy to even get somewhere with a solution.e cannot quickly go to the guns and start bombing Iran; this barbaric. We can have some talk just like the European Union is working on a proposal for Iran. You have to talk to them to even get such proposal. You what happen to us what we act like cowboy in the world; most our allies stay away from us in Iraq but Britain that offered urge support. We paid all the prices when it come to lives and money to rebuild that country. No allies want to spend a penny in that war because they realize that it was not justify. Senator Obama has very good judgment that can bring US standard back up around the world. He will be a very good commender in chief that can unite United States of America and the Democratics party. Stop bashing on the guy; he is brilliant if you do not like him for some reason that is fine otherwise give him a chance. The man is capable, brilliant and ready to bring this great country back on its feet.

With the Democrats ramming Obama down our throats, they have given the election to McCain. All us Hillary supporters clutching our guns and Bibles will vote McCain in November.
