Lieberman increases criticism of Barack Obama

(CNN)— Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman echoed presumptive nominee John McCain's increasing criticism of Barack Obama’s willingness to meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

In an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday, the Democrat turned independent said he didn’t question Obama’s commitment when it comes to the Middle East, but said the Illinois senator's failure to set pre-conditions on the meeting shows inexperience, and “not only gives prestige [to Ahmedinajad], but threatens our allies in the region.”

“One of John’s strengths is that our allies and friends will trust him and our enemies will fear him," said Lieberman, who has backed the Arizona senator's presidential bid. "McCain knows when to be tough and when to be soft.”

Lieberman said the Democratic race wasn't over yet - but he said it was pretty clear to him that Obama will be the nominee, adding “it will be a tough [general election] campaign.”

The reason that Obama has more delegates is because The Democrat Machine made a delibertate effort to take Hillary Clinton down. We are not fools out here. Everyone knows that Hillary is the most ready person to be President.

Hillary does have options left and they are that Hillary has a following more that willing to leave the democrat party and support an Indendpent Hillary Clinton ticket in November. This way Hillary doesn't need the support ot the disloyal democrat Machine. I hope she takes this option. Hillary 08

Hey Joe, Whisper in McLames ear that America's war is with Al Queada and the Taliban. Why does McLame want to be Hamas worst nightmare? Hamas is a local group restricted to the Gaza Strip and they have never killed an American. Israel needs to deal with Hamas McLame, America already has enough enemies to fight. But if McLame and Hillery ( Bush Lite ) Clinton have their way. America will be at war with North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Hezbollah in Lebanon. My my John and Hillery, Won't we just be a busy bunch of killer beavers? Will your kids be going too?

Joe Lieberman must be a descendent of Benedict Arnold. He insisted progress was being made in Iraq each of the last 5 years. Then he ran a re-election campaign claiming a withdrawal of American troops by the end of 2006.

CT voters should have learned their lesson. Never trust Joe Lieberman. He stuck a knife in the Democratic Party, made a fool of himself applauding George W Bush at the State of the Union and joins Zell Miller in the traitor camp.

No, actually, “One of John’s strengths [FAULTS] is that our allies and friends will [NOT] trust him and our enemies [FRIENDS] will fear him [SINCE HE ROUTINELY MIXES UP WHO OR WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT]," said Lieberman, who has backed the Arizona senator's presidential bid. "McCain knows when to be tough and when to be soft [IN HIS OWN WORLD WHICH, UNFORTUNATELY, IS NOT THE REAL WORLD IN WHICH WE LIVE].”

HILLARY IS A GOOD CANDIDATE BUT APART FROM MOVING THE GOAL POSTS YET AGAIN, SHE IS DONE.

OBAMA HAS THE POTENTIAL AND JUDGEMENT TO MAKE REAL CHANGE. IT'S TIME FOR THE NEXT GENERATION TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRY TO MAKE THE CHANGES NECESSARY.

MCCAIN REPRESENTS A CONTINUATION OF THE BUSH POLICIES, AND WE KNOW WHERE THAT GOT US.

Maybe if Gore had picked someone other than you, Liebermann, he would've won in 2000! Go home to John McCain where you two can police the world, not even willing to meet with our "enemies". Maybe they are our enemies because of our hostile attitude and policy. Obama has said that we should talk to our friends and our enemies.

McCain plays the strong man, yet he couldn't even handle being a leader on the Gallaudet University Board of Trustees. Under his so called leadership the university almost lost being accreditted. Imagine what he would do to Defense Department. No wonder he won't talk with Iranians. He can't even persuade a Board of Trustees on who to hire and who to fire.

    Jesus said:
love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. (Luke 6:27-28)
"Therefore if you ... remember that your brother has something against you, ... go first be reconciled to your brother, (Matthew 5:23)

To all you critics on the so called "religious" right – when was the last time you actually read the Bible and tried to understand the heart of God?

Obama will obliterate the repugs in the GE and just wait and see the way the debates would play. McCain won't know what it him, because not only his he losing his bearings- he will actually lose his hearing and mind. And there will be no teleprompters to save him. Someone better get McCain a diaper because he's going to s**t himself clean.

Obama nomination guarantees McCain Presidency. Even his endorsers rhetoric sounds more like a guy trying to convince his sister to date his best friend. No substance, just cheap adjectives.

Hillary says she "Get's It." NO SHE DOES NOT!!!

Hillary says, "Obama is an elitist" and quickly changed the tone since the Clinton's made over 109 million dollars and the Obama's only 4 million. I'd say the former is viewed more as an elitist over the latter, so is this another "mis-spoken" truth?

Hillary says, "vote white" while not realizing most Americans today are so tired of this type of division within our nation that she literally shot her own self in the foot and will never win in politics...ever. Bill has also shown his "true color" also by his own involvement and things he has spewed – I wish they could look past their own noses for the greater good for America. QUIT!

I haved supported and voted for a Democrat since I was 18. I have watched every debate this election cycle and do not believe Mr. Obama is the best choice as President.

My vote is for Mrs. Clinton! She has excellent leadership qualities and would be best for this country.

My worst fears looks to be reality in August when Mr Obama will capture the nomination.

Everyone you must decide who will be the best leader. This country deserves the very best.

I pledge in August that I will rebel against the Democratic party for supporting racist philosphy, not allowing Michigan/Floriday to vote, % voting, and to support a man and his wife who has not been proud of this country. My rebellion will be to vote for a John McMain in order to show Howard Dean my displeasures of this party.

McCain will win. So God Bless our young men and women who will continue to lose their lives in an unjust war.

Pay strict attention America. In review of our current situation in Iraq, it is this type of attitude that got us in this mess in the first place. Come let us reasons together is common sense. We cannot continue to bully other countries around and think we'll not going to pay for our actions. Mr. Lieberman needs to be quite and allow President Obama the chance to do his job. Obama is smart,You will see.

Hop up and down all you want folks – those of you who say not enough experience don't understand history and the greatest presidents had less experience than Senator Obama. Those of you you actually want to be unhappy because he is a "good speaker" should understand that WORDS ARE THE ONLY TOOL OF DIPLOMACY. Words are also the only tool of communication and yes, Reagan did talk to North Korea among others and Nixon talked to China so not sure what the heck that was about. Words of hope, peace and change are going to carry the day because, to quote President CLINTON – Hope will always win out over Fear. Better get used to PRESIDENT OBAMA and what a great day that will be!
