CHARLESTON, West Virginia (CNN) - Barack Obama is coming to the Mountain State.

The Democratic presidential frontrunner is campaigning today in Oregon, which holds its primary on May 20th.

He's off the campaign trail Sunday for Mothers Day, but expect the senator from Illinois to come to West Virginia at the beginning of the week.

Rival Hillary Clinton made campaign stops in the state on Wednesday and Thursday and is scheduled to return tomorrow and Monday. The Senator from New York is favored to win Tuesday’s primary.

She leads most polls in West Virginia by thirty to forty points.

Twenty-eight delegates are at stake when voters go to the polls in West Virginia. The state’ s primary is semi-open, which means that Democrats and Independents can vote in the Democratic primary.

Thank God we have a few politicians already supporting Sen Obama here in WV. At least it will be known that not everyone here is white and racist. As an American Black person (hard working too) here in West "By God " Virginia, I cannot not wait to vote for Sen Obama.

Hamas, The Weatherman, Wright...OH MY GOD! RUN! OH NO!

Seriously folks? Since when did we become a society of scared little children. How many of you on this blog have ever hung out with people whose views are outlandish? Does that make you less able to make rational, objective decisions in favor of your community?

Quit the hatemongering and race baiting! Quit the cynicism! Obama will be a fine president.

    Go Obama!

CNN, what kind of news organization are you?

All I see are headlines that are bent on trying to sell adspace, regardless of the substance of the article/report. 'Headlines like 'Clinton Slams Obama' and 'McCain too old?' are rediculous! You've become a multimedia GOSSIP network, reporting what the campaigns accuse each other of without informing your viewers of what the truth is.

Please become the same investigative and reliable network you were during the first Gulf War... I loved that CNN. I knew that your reports were true to the substance of the issue and objective.

    Thanks.

I support Hillary either running as an independent or as a VP for McCain. I'm sick of this change stuff! Change, change, change! What's wrong with just stayin' the same? Hillary's had experience dodging bullets in Bosnia–what bullets has Obama ever dodged? Obama's a meathead liberal.

Racism is ugly. Kentucky and West Virginia represent more what's wrong with this country than almost any other state. Folks who see Obama for his skin color more than his policies and character make me sick. Folks like that are the most un-American of all.

I can't help laughing at these people who call Obama racist. Exactly whom is he racist towards? Blacks? He's half-white. Whites? He's half-black.

Black voters in Durham County, NC have a majority of votes in the Democratic party. These voters supported Barack Obama by over 90% Senator Clinton received the majority of the whiter voters in the Democratic party, but they were out numbered. It is sad that the media has played up a factual statement by Senator Clinton as racist. One cannot state the facts it seems without being called racists. It is also clear that when a black pundit on television states his/her support for Obama there is seldom a black pundit for Clinton there to debateFOR her. It is also true that members of the black caucus in the House were threatened if they voted for Hillary. W. Va has few black voters...let's see how they vote. People for Hillary are voting FOR her, not against Obama, but the Obama campaign twists the facts and calls them and her "racists". Obama votets are often voting race.

If this was an episode of American Idol, then Ryan Seacrest would have said, "Hillary, you're going home, your time is up." They would then show her time on stage, which would have look like:
    1. You supported the war on Iraq (Poor judgment)
    2. Your campaign used racial undertones (poor taste)
    3. You broke down and cry to mislead the press (Poor sportsmanship)
    4. You drank a short of whiskey in a bar (Girls Gone Wild, not good for our kids)
    5. Free gas holiday (Pandering and not going to help and not going to happen)
    6. Don't know when to quit (Destructive)

Come on now Hillary, sing your last song,
"Don't cry for me West Virginia, Obama will bring us Change. The future looks bright for the Democratic party under Obama. Good bye my love West Virginia, please give support for Obama so we can be free from Bush/McCain destructive policies."

    Obama doesn't need your money.
Give it to your candidate (ex candidate sorry), it can help her resolve her debt issue.
By the way I understand why she is in such a trouble with contributors like you

Hillary is the best candidate. It is not over!! Last time I checked nobody has won yet...so keep going. I will only vote for Hillary in November this is true. Obama is just another chauvinist in the White House....nothing new..in fact he may be even more than Bush. Like Jon Steward said on one of his shows after playing a video clip of Obama....Obama seems like he would be a dick as a boyfriend.
I guess its OK for everyone to trash Hillary but if it is the other way around.....wow it is seen as negative. I've been pretty positive...but these blogs are just ridiculous. What is dividing this party is the negative infighting between voters!!!! I am not against Obama...I am for Hillary. But when people get so nasty.....I get a little defensive.
So.........people need to stop telling Hillary to quit. Yeah right...like she's gonna quit when Obama supporters tell her to. She's had people telling her to quit her whole life. She's not going to...so get used to it.

For all you Billary fanatics that support her running as an independent, well think about this.

McCain wins and we get.....now don't hold your breath

4 more years of a war that will take thousands of Americans lives and will probably go from being a $2 trillion to probably a $4 trillion war.

We will have oil prices at levels that will make $125 look nice. Gas will hit $6 or more.

We will have Roe v Wade overturned.

We will have a judiciary that will think a dictatorship is appropriate.

Food prices will stay high and people will suffer even more than they are now.

So push her into running as an independent and then sit back and watch this great country dissolve into another 4 years of what we have had with Bush.

I am one of those economists that Billary hates... and I am telling you that things can get worse and I mean really bad.

Put away your fanatic rhetoric and look at what is going on and ask yourself if you want this to continue.

So if she wins 100% to 0% she gets 28 delegates and is ONLY behind by 168. New math course to be offered by the Clintons and will only cost you money if your hard working, white, and not very educated.

Just because West Virgina favors Hillary Clinton doesnt mean it has a problem with change. Either candidate will make change.... Hillary Clinton is the better candidate, she can bring change and do change right with her experience and not put us all in a icky situation.
I support Hillary Clinton for many reasons

    Woot Hillary

mitchell from arkansaw, then are you saying you don't want Obama!!

He is beyond a habitual liar!!!

The only thing that is going to self destruct is the DNC!!! They already have!!

I would wager that if Obama is the nominee...in November, the Republicans will take our the White House, Senate and House!!

    Go Hillary...if not Hillary...then McCain!!

Lisa, if Sen. Obama was afraid to debate Clinton, would he have done so over 20 times. What is the point of further debate? He's already won. Give it a rest.

  25. A Sobering Message?

Right now Obama is ahead by 164 delegates. Even if West Virginia reduced the gap by 10, Obama would still be ahead by 154. How could that send "a sobering message" to Obama supporters? Ridiculous.
