Schneider: More sobering news - the value gap

(CNN) - The West Virginia exit polls show more sobering news for Democrats about the deepening division within the party.
We asked the voters whether each candidate shared their values.
Among Barack Obama supporters, 62 percent said Hillary Clinton does not share their values while just 37 percent said she does.
The number is even more staggering among Clinton supporters: nearly 70 percent of her voters say Obama does not share their values while just 30 percent say he does.
We're getting over 60 percent of the supporters of each candidate saying the other candidate does not share our values – which could spell trouble for the Democrats as they try to unite the party for the general election.

I've been told as an x Hillary supporter to tell anyone doing exit polls that I would never vote for Obama! All supposedly to help her cause!! If Hillary had left the primaries earlier maybe the division wouldn't be so great!
I did think about supporting Obama after the Indiania and N.C. primaries, but after I've been reading these posts I realize his supporters are leftist socialists who will spew hate and racism everywhere; and when Obama loses in Nov, you can expect them to blame it on Clinton and her "racist" supporters.
I guess the new definition of racist is somebody that dosn't vote for Obama.
I guess I'm one of them.

Obama/Richardson would make an attractive ticket, while Obama/Hillary/Bill will destroy what Obama stands for.

Erstwhile member of the KKK, opponent of confirmation of both black Supremes (Thurgood Marshall, the liberal and Clarence Thomas, the conservative), Condi Rice, and many other black government officials. Yeah, but those are WV exit polls. Everyone there is a slack-jawed yokel. What do you expect?
Why does this news seem a surprise. A lot of Obama supporters are backing him simply because he is an alternative to having the Clintons back in office. You could have put my pet cat up against the Clintons and they might have done as well.

WV are a bunch of dummies. They still think the gas tax holiday is a good idea. Stay in school or you might end up in WV.

This is a clear demonstration of the impact that the scorched earth Clinton campaign has caused – Obama supporters alienated from a Clinton candidacy, and Clinton supporters refusing to support Obama because of the deep divisions that Hillary Clinton has caused.
We New Yorkers need to begin asking ourselves whether we need such a divisive political hack representing us in the US Senate – let alone the White House.
