Obama to respond to Bush remarks

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/05/16/art.obama.5.16.jpg caption="Barack Obama expected to respond to Bush remarks later Friday."]
(CNN)–CNN has confirmed that Barack Obama will respond directly to President Bush’s apparent criticism of his foreign policy vision, which includes a willingness to consider dialogue with Iran and other nations hostile to the United States. The Illinois senator’s response will come at a campaign event later Friday in South Dakota.

The news was first revealed by senior Obama foreign policy adviser Susan Rice on NBC Friday morning.

In an address before the Israeli Knesset Thursday, President Bush compared leaders who advocated dialogue with nations like Iran to politicians who appeased Nazi aggression in the years leading up to the Second World War.

Just another stupid remark from our stupid President. The only people Bush would sit down and talk with are the ones willing to line his pockets. Peace on Earth isn't in his vocabulary. What goes around, comes around. Obama, grab Bush by the throat and don't let go until he's dead. Or. IMPEACH him!!!!!!

I guess Mr Obama wants to complain some more. All I can say is the President, who was not even refering to Obama or anyone by name must have struck a cord clearly identified by the fact that, "He (Obama) Doth Protest Too Much"

The sadest part is Obama does not realize that the comments had little to do with him if at all and were all about a U.S. President's committment to Israel. Just another example of Obama's lack of foreign policy skill. I mean really, does he really need to send out a press release and now speak publicly today regarding an issue he has no proof is even directed at him...we are full of ourself, aren't we?

very smart lady's comment is very stupid and bigoted. You don't call adult black men "boy" unless you want to be provocative. Your remark will result in me sending a donation of $100 to the Obama campaign today. Obama thanks you.

How could any Obama supporter not be upset or disgusted that the Obama campaign is so adamant about not wanting millions of american citizens a chance at a re-vote in Michigan and Florida? Could it be that Hllary would clearly overtake him in the pop vote without any caveats? Obama and the leaders of the DNP have made a mess of things and as a result, I will not be supporting Obama or anyone who steals elections from better candidates. This elitism nauseates me.

    No to Obama in 08!!!!

Does it take Obama 24 hours to come up with a response? I hope he doesn't have to think on his feet at President.

very smart lady – You are not very smart after all. You are voting based on smile and grin? I think you are voting based on color and it looks like you rather have Bush in power for another 4 years than Obama. You are sick in the head. Probably you should start packing up and head to Iraq since you like Bush so much.

He needs to put this issue to bed.

Our foreign policy and diplomacy is hard to swallow. McCain and Hillary have already declared the war on Iran, China and Russia. They accuse Obama of crimes he has never committed.
And, President Bush is just adding more fuel to the fire.

How will he deal with this problem? He's going to give a speech. How does he deal with every problem? Obama gives a speech. I mean, Obama settled the race problems in America with his last speech so now, world peace will break out because he gives another speech. He is just so talented and holy, I don't know why he isn't runing for president of the world, or rather the entire universe, he;s that good. I'm another ex-dem voting for McCain. If you wanted roe v wade. you shoulda voted for the woman in the pants suit.

Many people know that you are the better candidate Hilary. You're statements are far stronger – as well as other dems like Biden – than Obama could muster.

You have more courage, guts, knowledge and resolve. You know how to deal with this Repubs as they oppose you for many years (even if you campaign for something that would benefit everyone), they've called you names and prayed that you get hit by lightning. You fought them tooth and nail as well as reached across the aisle and worked with them.

Unfortunately, we know that a little over half of the dems want the new exciting kid on the block. Enough to put you aside.

While we heed your call to support him in November, we also ask that you remain committed to your cause. If offered a VP spot, please don't accept it. With your grasps and knowledge of issues, you are best to be the majority leader. I bet you'll do more than Pelosi and Reid combined. For you can get things done and not afraid to take on the bullies.

I can only pray and hope that the Obama who wasn't able to answer my question about the difference in Insurgency and Terrorism do not get his behind kicked by the likes of Iran and Russia and North Korea. I hope he can stir this economy back to where it should be. For our future and our lives and our children's lives are at stake.

CNN this is from the heart, pleast post this comment. Thank you.

Bush, is about to get schooled on how you address the International community. He'd better take notes b/c school is about to begin. To all the naysayers you'll learn something so take of your Hillary blinders long enough to learn somthing and let it seap in those thick skulls.

Bush didn't even mention Obama. And the person he mentioned who espoused a "sit down" strategy was a REPUBLICAN!

What the heck is Obama doing? He's going to sink his own ship.
