Stark endorses Obama

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/05/16/art.stark.ap.jpg caption="Stark endorsed Obama Friday."] (CNN) - California Rep. Pete Stark became the latest superdelegate to endorse Barack Obama Friday.

Stark, who has represented California's 13th District for 35 years, said Obama has "captured the imagination of Americans in a way we’ve not seen for decades."

“He’s inspired millions of young people to register to vote and join the ranks of our Democratic Party, he’s consistently opposed the war, he advocates universal health care, and he delivers a message that transcends party politics at the same time," Stark also said in a statement released by the Obama campaign. “I have the greatest respect for Senator Clinton and for her many years of service, but I believe the time has come to unify our party.”

By CNN's count, Obama now leads Clinton among superdelegates by 18, 292-274.

    Obama/Hillary 08

Its time to unite and the only way is with the 2 of them on the ticket.

Obama supporters want us Hillary supporters to unite, but when people talk about a ticket with the 2 of them you guys freak out and say you will not vote for that ticket. So tell me again Who is destroying our party?

I have been upset about Hillary not winning and I was going to vote McCain, But I just cant do it. But what would help me and many others with this hard time is to UNITE the 2 of them on 1 ticket!

When are you going to add this new super delegate to Barack Obama's column. What is the point of announcing it and then holding the delegate numeric count the same? Hoping to change California Rep. Stark's mind?Optically this new delegate adds a huge boost to the campaign– so why not be consistent. It is what makes you the best news team on the ground, too.

Obama has captured something...but we don't have a clue to what it is!!

Goodbye Obama...You will never make it to the White House...with or without Hillary's endorsement!!

    Go Hillary..

    If not Hillary...then McCain.

I wouldn't even vote for Obama if Hillary was his VP choice.

Tell me again how Stark respects Clinton. Do any of you remember the Anita Hill case? He didn't show any respect there why should anyone lisson to him now. He gets his kicks out of ganging up on the ladies . I don't see anything to brag about, with him supporting Obama.
