Schneider: Obama not a satisfying choice for KY Democrats

(CNN) - In another sign of the challenge facing Obama among Democratic voters in blue-collar states like Kentucky, only 41 percent of them there said they would be satisfied if he wins the party's nomination.

Among Clinton supporters, the number is even more daunting for Obama: Only 33 percent said they'd be satisfied if the Illinois senator is the nominee.

That compares to 76 percent of Democrats in Kentucky who'd be satisfied if Clinton wins the nomination.

With less than six months until the general election, the Democratic Party has a lot of healing to do.

Hillary cannot suggest any bias whatsoever,

But every time Obama loses – just whine racism. Better save that card for Nov. It is getting pretty worn out!

I am a white West Virginian. When I cast my vote I thought about all of the policy research I had done and came up with the idea that I could support either of the two candidates. However, I also thought about Wright, Rezko, Bitter, Proud and the other questionable connections so I cast my vote for Hillary hoping Barack Obama gave me a reason to trust him in November (because I am realistic and a Democrat). Then I read some blogs just like I am now and saw utter hatred spewed at Hillary supporters and West Virginians and that made me know for sure that there is no way I will vote for him in November.
If his supporters are this vile, I want absolutely no part of electing him.

Some of us hope that the Clintons will work harder to UNITE the democratic party as they have worked to highlight the weaknesses of the party. Whay do the Clintons always 'screw up" just about anything that they touch!

    Dear KY,
I believe that you have been heard. Why not just write it down. You would rather have someone who mis-speaks, plays the gender card, can't keep a spouse happy, has more blood on their hands than Manson than a black man. I am a white male from a rural area with a long history of clan activity and moderate Republican but even this seems a bit unbelievable to me.

    Funny isn't it.

For some reason I cannot see this post going through

I am sick and tired of hearing that if you don't vote for Obama, you must be racist. Talk about playing the race card. I'm voting for McCain because I believe experience matters more than lofty rhetoric.
I am more loyal to my country than to the dem party. McCain is more of a centrist than the left wing anti-war candidate that Howard Dean and Ted Kennedy hand picked. McCAin and a dem congress could work out just fine.

The biggest looser in all this Democratic contenders is without doubt is Gov.Richardson.Aguy with all the diplomatic experience, but could not rise above any significant percentile score to convince anybody here and abroad.Ok Gov. Richardson go to Puerto rica and you will lose big! If it is the lingua factor,we don't need to be copy cats.Puerto ricans understand Hillary Clinton, and Bill very well. And that they together and the honest citizenry of Puerto rico will prevail.Enough of political dilly dalling. What I want to emphasise is a very genuine truth!- to wish Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy a quick recovery and a swift get back to the senate.God will bless this giant of humility and respect of mankind World all over.

  8. Nah!

Hillary, well congratulations sweetie! You've won the racist vote in every state. My, my, my, you must be proud to have won the hearts and minds of people who aren't voting for you based on your experience, but based upon your skin color. If you were a man, you'd probably have gotten even more votes, but as with racists not being able to vote for candidates that aren't their own color, there are also people who cannot vote for a woman.

Now that you've won the vote of blue collar workers, racists, and generally poorly-educated people, what are you going to do for them?
Nothing, I bet. You went to private high school, private college, and to a prestigious law school. I have no doubt the moment those people are no longer useful to you, you will ignore them. Nice. I'm looking forward to 2 years of chaos until you get indicted in the Peter Paul case, and wind up pushing a broom in a minimum security prison for a few years.

IT IS SO SAD THAT FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN VOTES WERE NOT COUNTED FOR ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTIONS IN HISTORY. IF FLORIDA VOTES WOULD HAVE BEEN COUNTED I AM SURE THAT HILARY WOULD BE AHEAD NOW, MICHIGAN I CANNOT SPEAK FOR, WHAT WAY IT WOULD HAVE GONE, BUT FLORIDA BEING A BIG STATE LIKE CALIFORNIA, NEW YORK, WE WOULD HAVE A NOMINEE BY NOW.

HILARY IS NOW PLAYING CATCH UP FOR VOTES THAT WOULD HAVE MADE HER AHEAD ALREADY. I MYSELD WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR REPUBLICAN, BECAUSE I ALWAYS AND MY FAMILY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN DEMOCRATIC, I HAVE BEEN FOR THE HILARYS FROM THE BEGINING AND I WILL BE FOR THE CLINTONS THRU THE BEGINING AND I WILL BE SUPPORTIVE TO THE END.

WILL I VOTE FOR OBAMA BECAUSE HE IS A DEMOCRATIC, OR AFRICAN AMERICAN LIKE MYSELF? NO !!! WITH THE TIMES THAT THE COUNTRY IS IN NOW, WE NEED SOMEONE THAT HAS EXPERIENCE IN THE WHITE HOUSE AND WILL HAVE SOMEONE AS A GREAT ADVISOR TO HILARY CLINTON ON SOME DECISIONS SPEAKING OF BILL CLINTON, WE DON'T NEED A INTERN OR TRAINEE (OBAMA) AS COMMANDER & CHIEF RUNNING THE U.S. IN THE CONDITION THAT IT IS IN NOW.

IF I HAD A BUSINESS IN THE – RED I WOULD NOT HIRE A TRAINEE OR A INTERN TO BAIL OUT THE BUSINESS, I WOULD HIRE SOMEONE THAT HAS EXPERIENCE WHO KNOWS HOW TO TACKLE SITUATIONS TO MAKE MY BUSINESS PROFITABLE AGAIN, AND THAT IS THE WAY I FEEL ABOUT HAVING A PRESIDENT WITH EXPERIENCE AND WITHOUT EXPERIENCE.

  10. Sell out

Obama lost my vote when he sold out and denounced Rev. Wright.

Come on, who doubts that the leftist Obama and his radical wife, disagreed with Wright but remained members of his church for 20 years.

Heck, I agreed with 90% of what Wright said. The other 10% were lies.

That is how propaganda works. You tell people things they know are true. Then you can start feeding them lies and they will never question it.

Obama learned this trick from Wright.

To Capt. Smash, Salt Lake City, Utah, quote:

"... locked up in there homes..."

hahahaha, by your logic, guess you went to school on the East side if you don't know the difference between "their" and "there". Don't blame it on typo. So now you are going to school in Utah?

Jane, they are thinking as I do... Barack Obama could hardly do worse than GWB, or his third term McCain....

So why not??? what is your true reason behind your disdain?...

I for one encourage, and hope that ALL Democrats vote for the democratic party this time around, we DO NOT need another GWB third term..

It will come to no surprise to know that Lou Dobbs, Campbell, Jordan and Alex will be dancing in the street because OBAMA can't get the "Blue Collar White Vote" and everyone at CNN can not understand why. Kentucky and WVA are considered very culturally conservative states that will never vote for anyone but a white person.

Now, the two last elections were delivered by these people. Basically good old Americans that endorsed the war. I wonder why no one ever talks about the people that have died in Irag? Not even CNN. We know about the soldiers and the horrific experiences they have experienced, but what about the 1,000,000 people that have lost their lives? You know the men, women and children. Surely not all of them are terrorist. Do the red states care?

If OBAMA wins it will be because of people from groups that do not perpetuate racism, biggotry and Klan ideology. A tall order, but I believe in America and I believe there are good and decent people in this country that judge you by your character and not by the color of your skin.

One more things, why do you always talk about Wright and never Mr. McCain's endorser. You want to spread the hate about Michelle, but not about plagerism and the cook book. Any any lie that woman says, you guys run with it. And, the joke is on you. Puerto Rico is just fine and Richardson can help if he wants but they voted for Jackson unaminously. Do your homewrk. The joke is one you CNN.
