McCain allows peek at medical records

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Sen. John McCain will release his medical records on Friday."]
(CNN) - Sen. John McCain will give select members of the media a three-hour glimpse at his medical records Friday.

If elected, McCain, the 71-year-old presumed Republican nominee, would be the oldest president of the United States, beating Ronald Reagan by three years on inauguration day.

Presidents and candidates have released records in the past, and some, like McCain, have stipulated that the records cannot leave the room.

McCain, a cancer survivor, is particularly under pressure to prove to the public that he is physically fit for office.

Democratic candidates Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton have not made their health records public, but whoever secures the nomination probably will, said David Mark, senior editor at Politico.

McCain has told reporters not to expect surprises, and that doctors told him everything is fine.

So why then just a peek? I thought everything was on the table when you're running for President Mr. McCain. We are not electing a vice predident to be president in 2 years.

Let's face it, his VP choice would hold a lot more significance then the Democrats choice. Quite frankly I don't want John McCain deciding who would be president should he have to leave the job due to health issues or death. Just like I don't want John McCain choosing the next Supreme Court judges.

Why? We all KNOW he's a SICK man. So why do we need his medical records?

AND do we honestly believe that if there was anything that was NOT up to par, those pages would be in his medical records? Yeah right.

This is nothing more than a "political" tactic. Pages have already been removed prior to the file going public.

Come' On give us some credit here. We weren't born yesterday!!

He doesn't have to be fit to send more men and women to more wars. He can do that from a nursing home.

Please NO-Bama...Hillary is becoming the laughing stock of the political world. While Obama and McCain begin to spar over genereal election issues, Hillary is out there blaming the media for sexism, touting Karl Rove's analysis of her electablility, marketing HBO's movie, and blaming the Democratic Party for disenfranchising Florida and Michigan voters.

It is really pathetic to witness. If Hillary is going to act like this till May 31st and June 1st. By June 4th, Obama will garner 100 superdelegates in one day just to end this Hillary spectacle.

What makes a problem of concern is the left side of his face. He ought to do something about that.

I really don't care what the records say: the man is too old for the job period.

More importantly: he is now supporting all the failed policies of Bush on the economy, diplomacy (or rather lack thereof) and military.

And guess what: those are the policies that ran the country into the ground after starting with a budget SURPLUS and turning that into a record budget deficit.....

More of the same? No thank you.

    A 3 hour tour huh?

What happened to releasing them fully, which McCain stated about 2 months ago?

Who cares, he isn't going to beat Obama and we all know he's old, so what's the point. Bye McCain and take your idiotic preacher with ya.

Hillary should submit her records too as I see her rhetoric screaming voice and desperate act on the stage indicates to look in to her psychological / emotional reactions during Monica lewinsky's scandal time. I always wish her the best except giving her full power of presidency.
