Update: McCain in 'excellent health,' doctor says

FOUNTAIN HILLS, Arizona (CNN) - - There's no medical reason to prevent Sen. John McCain from being president, the doctor for the presumptive GOP nominee said in a statement the McCain campaign released Friday.
"At the present time, Sen. McCain enjoys excellent health and displays extraordinary energy," said Dr. John D. Eckstein, an internal medicine specialist at the Mayo Clinic who has treated the candidate for 16 years.
"While it is impossible to predict any person's future health, today I can find no medical reason or problems that would preclude Sen. McCain from fulfilling all the duties and obligations of president of the United States."
McCain, who turns 72 in August, would be the oldest person to be elected to a first term as president if he wins in November. He has been treated for skin cancer three times and was a prisoner of war in the Vietnam War for 5½ years.
Right, McCain was a P.O.W. for 51/2 yrs. Hanoi Hilton, gave Up Flag and Colors in lieu of his Skin. That qualifies him to be President; give Me a Break ! No way Jose !

Now, I do question Obama's inexperience when it comes to the subject of national security. This is a bigger problem then McCain's age.
How about this? On May 18 Obama says that Iran is a "tiny" threat, then two days later on May 20 he says Iran is a "grave" threat. Does this make any sense? Aren't these two statements condradicting each other? Please, I would like some answers. Also, please someone explain to me how Obama's raising taxes will help our economy. This is another subject that Obama has no idea what he is talking about.

His physical health is only a part of it. What we're forgetting is that the presidency involves, literally, carrying the weight of the whole word on your shoulders.

For those of you who worry about the SIZE of his medical record you should be aware that in the Military and in Federal Government Service it is NOT unusual for peole to have large records, you see the military requires visits much more frequently than most peole do in the civilian world, a pilot has a HUGE record because their flight physicals are extensive and frequent. Any medical problem (ie high cholesterol, high blood pressure etc) is followed up much more frequently and in more detail than you would see in the civilan world also. 400 pages? not a big deal after 21 years my medical record was around that size (Nuclear physicals, asbestos physicals and follow ups etc) and I am in realtively good health.

I question the results of this so called medical records. The journalists were only given 3 hours to go through hundres of pages of files! They were obviously hampered by the restrictions which leads one to believe...if he wants total transparency, why the restrictions in the first place? Why? Because it's "none of the American public right to know?"
