Perino on McClellan

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/05/28/art.perino.gi.jpg caption="Perino expressed disappointment with McCllelan's new book."]
(CNN) - White House Press Secretary Dana Perino just released the following statement on former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan's new book.

"Scott, we now know, is disgruntled about his experience at the White House. For those of us who fully supported him, before, during and after he was press secretary, we are puzzled. It is sad – this is not the Scott we knew.

"The book, as reported by the press, has been described to the President. I do not expect a comment from him on it – he has more pressing matters than to spend time commenting on books by former staffers."

    CNN PLEASE POST

The media the real story. . They let us down with Bush and Iraq! They really let THE AMERICAN PEOPLE down.

Over 4000 dead, what do you say to those families. BUSH, MCCAIN and CLINTON, need to apologize to all AMERICANS for sending them to there death's! Bush should be removed from office ASAP.!. Congress should start the Iraqi WAR hearings immediately find the truth please behind this WAR! Remove Bush from office, this will show all of America, the government still works for the good of the people. George Bush has destroyed the creditability of the presidency; even 4000 times worse then Bill Clinton and Monica scandal. If we ever need to go to war again how can we trust congress and the White House to do the right thing.

The only way congress can restore there creditability; as a functioning body of this government, is to hold formal investigations in this horrible American tragedy the Iraq War. I feel so bad for those families that give there loved ones to this American tragedy, THE IRAQ WAR!

Looks like Perino is hanging on to her job security by defending this administration. I am dumbfounded that number one, there are women in this administration and two, there are any level headed Americans out there that believe this administration.

Now that our world is crumbling before us a lot of people are waking up and realizing that George W and Cheney have been a complete disaster. I am astonished when I think how much better my life was just 8 years ago compared to today.

Ms. Parino, could it possibly be that Mr. McClellan is telling the truth? The spin you apply to anything negative in this administration is amazing. You definitely are talented in this regard.

Strange how all who have existed the Bush Administration have comments that are similar. Hmmm. Could these comments be true? Certainly even the strongest supporters of Bush must be asking themselves the same questions.

You are puzzled?!!! That is the best you could come up with?!!!! How bout . . . "the same people that made him lie now are telling me that I can not say anything of substance on this matter because it is all true, and lying about this now would not seem believable even to me."

If you dont tell the truth now you and your bosses hopefully will be forced under oath in their war crimes trial, or treason trial, or impeachment trial (its sad that all of these do apply).

    Absolute Power corrupts absolutely.

Especially after McClellan's courageous book, how can CNN continue to allow one of the great purveyors of falsehoods in American history to continue to appear as a talking head on political analysis.

Every time you allow Ari Fleischer to offer an opinion, I can't help but think about how his falsehoods helped the press to its war mongering in the PR lead up to this disastrous war. Is there no accountability even now when we know the truth.

How can Ari continue to be paid for his words when we know he used intentionally false words at an important time in American history...is there a place for the truth on the greatest Political Team on Television???

  16. Oh come ON!

"Described to the President"? Don't you mean "Read to the President"?

While you may all be confused about this book, the description of its contents does not seem to be new news. It's pretty common knowledge we went to war under false pretenses, and the rationale for being/staying there changed as each excuse to be there was found out to be full of holes. It's been quite a few years, and a lot of information about how Bush and his team snookered the American publichas come to light. If you're truly confused, you're a bit slow to learn aren't you....

I look forward to reading the book.

I bet Bush is puzzled. Why is it that everyone from the Bush administration is stating he and Cheney lied to get us into war? DUH!!! Ever heard of the Downey Letters? Bush is the worst President ever and should have been impeached. Should still be impeached before the jerk gets us into a war with Iran.
