Obama finale at GOP convention site

(CNN) - Barack Obama will close out the primary season on Tuesday with a campaign event at the site of the Republican convention.

His campaign announced on Saturday that the Illinois senator will team up with his wife Michelle at a rally at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, the same arena which will house the 2008 Republican National Convention in September.

Obama's rally will take place as Montana and South Dakota close out the Democratic primary season on Tuesday. Thirty-one delegates are at stake in those two states.

Minnesota is considered a battleground - or swing - state that both parties will fight for in the general election.

    But, Obama hasn't won . . . . . . , and it's not clear he will.

Watching the DNC as its going on now....the Florida Democrats representatives are truely a disgrace. Disorganised to the bones and thats why Republicans are ruling there and deserve to do so. This is not about HRC or Obama..this is about lazy politicians who knew all along the likely disaster but did nothing but TALK and TALK!! SHAME on Floridas Democratic State Reps.

Sen Obama, I am hoping and praying that there will be a huge thunder and lightening storm over the MSP airport that will prevent you from landing and send you flying back to Chicago.

The more interesting Minnesota stories are the tanking of Al Franken, and the Women DFL caucus leader from Minnesota who is beginning a HIllary write-in campaign.

  10. The Obama Phenomena

Montana is a battleground state (too small to matter by Hillary's strategy), that Obama has a chance to take in the GE. Obama's 50-state strategy means he has infrastructure in every state. It means the Republicans will have to contest in areas where they don't want to lose local elections and strech their resources outside their core strategy. THIS is SMART politics, unlike the personal expediency of the Clinton camp. Obama's strategy helps ALL DEMS in the GE, on federal, state and local levels. GO OBAMA !!!

It sounds like a good idea on the surface. However, I think you need to realize the Clinton's are not people. They haven't been for quite some time. They will continue to fight you to the bitter end and they care nothing about the consequences or the party. This is long from over due to the Clinton's history of creating animosity and division with everyone. Remember during the Clinton presidency we LOST control of the house and senate. This is what the Clinton's bring. DIVISION.

    Go Obama!

It has been a long haul; but to Senator Obama and Mrs. Michelle Obama and all the staff I believe that you have done an awesome job. The Campaign has been honorable and respectful. Your campaign team has managed our donations with respect for us hard working people that contributed what little we have and I appericate that. On to the Convention.

You have to love it. While Clinton is creating all this drama, Obama is taking it right to them. Those Clinton dead-enders most be soap-opera fans, someone needs to clue them in that we are trying to vote a president into office.
