Bill Clinton lashes out at Vanity Fair reporter

Bill Clinton is not happy with the way a new magazine article portrays him.

Bill Clinton is not happy with the way a new magazine article portrays him.

(CNN) - Hillary Clinton's campaign Monday apologized for "inappropriate" language used by her husband in response to a Vanity Fair article that quoted anonymous sources questioning the former president's behavior since leaving the White House. (Listen to Clinton's comments Monday.)

The article, by the magazine's national editor Todd Purdum, suggested that Bill Clinton's personality had changed since his 2004 heart bypass surgery and said that there were reports of Clinton "seeing a lot of women on the road."

Purdum quoted four former Clinton aides saying that another of his former assistants had conducted "what one of these aides called an intervention" about the reports of philandering.

A writer for the Huffington Post, Mayhill Fowler, asked Clinton on Monday what he thought "about that hatchet job somebody did on you in Vanity Fair," according to a recording of the exchange posted on the Huffington Post's Web site.

"(He's) sleazy," Clinton responded. "He's a really dishonest reporter." (Earlier: Journalist defends article slamming Bill Clinton)

The media has stolen this election from the better candidate because it's more of a story to nominate a black man than a white woman in a mans world. This campaign has been about everything that this campaign shouldn't have been about, and because of it I will be voting republican come November as I'm sure 30-40% of democrats will. Besides, listening to Obama he sounds more and more socialist and everything that this country is not about and not what has and will continue to make this country great. McCain is looking better everyday.

History will show that the press "did a number" on both Clintons and they are girding their loins to do it on the Obamas. You can bet on that!

it's really a shame that DeeDee Myers husband would do this. Although, last night was the first time I saw him on TV...guess theres money to be made in the smut business...'course Hefner could vouch for that.

Hillary you are a winner and so is Bill!! 2012/2016 for Hillary!!

Oh, so now its Obama's fault that the media has damaged Hillary's chances of becoming the president or why Hillary lost more states, why she's behind in the delegate count, why she's behind in the most realistic popular vote poll, made Michigan and Florida break the rules, injected racism and sexism into the democratic primary.....PLEASE.....LOL

All the Clinton's are pathetic except for Chelsea..

According to Bill...this is a conspiricy by the Obama camp to make him and Hillary look bad.

Mr. Ex-President, you don't need any help in making you or your wife look bad. You two do a terrific job all by yourselves.

How the mighty have fallen. He is a has been who had the loyal support of millions of black voters and he threw them under the bus. Now look at him, a sorry shadow of himself.

I never say never, but I'm close to saying that about the political career of the Clinton Clan.

Did Clinton's (Bill's) campaign ever apologize after James Carville made the ignorant comment about dragging a one hundred dollar bill through a trailer park and see what you come up with when talking about Paula Jones, one of Bill's girlfriends. Nope, no apology was issued. Why issue one now? Plus, was this REALLY an apology or just a weak admission that he did use those words? I say the latter!

Hey Jimmy Vellman – Clinton was surrounded by even more Secret Service while in the White House – and every visitor had to be escorted to his office. He still was able to have sexual relations then - and in our public office no less. Don't think for a minute it can't happen now!

I completely agree Bill Clinton on this.
The Author is a SCAM Bag.

Myself was just out of College when Bill
got in the White House. I had seen all
the good works had done for our nation.
Most of the article are lies.

Leftist in Democrat come out this to make sure
Obama get the nominated. I have just watched Larry
King show in which a strong Obama supporter, who
show up in the media all the time, even agree with
the Article. It make me so upset and will make sure all
my friends and my resource will go support MCcain to be
our president in November. Defeat Obama in November!

Bill Clinton has been known to be a lier; remember when he was trying to re-define sexual relation on National TV?
I totally agreed with that briliant writter; he's known to be a credible and responsible journalist...Clinton only has to redefine his 'spirituality'.

I saw an interview with the journalist yesterday. He struck me as evasive and I have real questions about why there were no direct quotes. That is questionable journalism at its worst. He is using innuendo for his own personal agenda. I agree that he is a scumbag.

Why did Bill Clinton blame some of this controversy on Obama, what does Obama have to do with any of this? I believe frustration has begun to set with the Clintons, and they are taking their anger out on anybody. Also, it is just another attempt to take the focus of the conversation away from Bill Clinton. Its seems that the former President is back to his 90’s form and is up to some of his old tricks (Big Surprise). This man must really like flirting with females, hey looking at Hillary, I can’t blame him!

One reason I know the "mainstream media" isn't on Obama's side like Clinton claims?

They completely failed to include the HORRIBLE insinuations Pres. Clinton made about Obama in this quote...such as...

"They had all these people standing up in this church cheering, calling Hillary a white racist, and he didn't do anything about it. The first day he said 'Ah, ah, ah well.' Because that's what they do– he gets other people to slime her. So then they saw the movie they thought this is a great ad for John McCain– maybe I better quit the church. It's all politics. It's all about the bias of the media for Obama. Don't think anything about it."

"But I'm telling ya, all it's doing is driving her supporters further and further away– because they know exactly what it is– this has been the most rigged press coverage in modern history– and the guy ought to be ashamed of himself. "

Thats someone INSANE talking...and CNN just chose to not cover it at all.

So, whose side is the "Media" on?
