Carter to officially endorse Obama

Jimmy Carter, a superdelegate, has endorsed Obama .

(CNN) -
Former President Jimmy Carter, in a widely expected move, will endorse Barack Obama's presidential bid later Tuesday or early Wednesday.

Carter, a superdelegate who has frequently spoken favorably about Obama, told Britain’s Sky News last month that while he had not yet announced his decision publicly, after the last Democratic primary June 3, it would be time for Hillary Clinton to “give it up.”

He also said that Clinton “had a perfect right” to keep running – but that “a lot of the superdelegates will make a decision quite, announced quite rapidly, after the final primary on June 3."

The former president also told an interviewer last month that he believes Hillary Clinton would accept the vice presidential spot on the ticket, but that he did not believe such an offer would be made by Obama "because I don't see how it would help his ticket. I think he needs somebody like a [former Georgia Sen.] Sam Nunn, but I won't name others.”

Nunn, the former Georgia senator, is known for his foreign policy and national security expertise.

think on this: from the state that gave us lester maddox (spelling) and his ax handle hate crowd to the ex president of the U.S. endorsing a black man. those who say he got elected because he is black don't know lester. I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN. Has bush and his clones hurt our country??? yes, it could take us 100 years to undo what this gang did with their illegal act of declaring war on Iraq which had nothing to do with 911. and mcbush now saying no to talking with heads of countries when 68% of the american public said TALK WITH OUR ENEMIES AND STOP THE BUSH/MCCAIN BULLY ATTITUDE THAT HAS COSTS US THOUSANDS OF YOUNG PEOPLES LIVES. Yes, i am MO proud today of our country than ever-oh, i am that older, white, educated, business owner, republican, veteran who is ALL ABOUT CHANGE. LETS START WITH OBAMA AND WORK THROUGH THE SENATE AND CONGRESS.

Well, based on what Carter has been saying over the past month or more, who would have guessed?

The only reason this matters is because he is a superdelegate.

    Getting closer!

As a football coach for 19 years, one of thing I have learned is this. In every contest there is a teacher and a student. Hillary and Bill Clinton for the last 28 years have always been the teachers. However, in this contest they are they are now the students, Obama has overcame insurmountable odds. He has overcome his race, age, experience, his wired name, his religious affiliations, his gaffes and one the fiercest competitors in political history in America the Clinton Dynasty.

We must all understand that what Obama has done is just purely remarkable and should not be taken lightly. As a man of color myself I stand in awe and want to thank every American that can see beyond the outer layer of Obama and who has judged him by what’s in his heart and not by his outer layer.

To all the Hillary Clinton Supporters I hope you all can over come you disappointment and anger before November. I will be the first with my arms open and embrace all of you. I urge all of us Obama supporters to reach out to all the Clinton people and bring them in with love and understanding. Tell the Clinton supporters we need them and we can’t do it with out them. Welcome them to a new and better America and the Obama campaign that is set to lift America to a Higher Ground!

    God Bless you all!
    God Bless America!

Just heard Hillary is sing she is open to Veep slot. Fine make up your mind Hillary you can't be both President and Vice President...concede! sp that Barack Obama can consider you as a running mate.

I don't like how she ran against Barack and like Bill Clinton's behavior even less however I think the combination will beat Mccain and most importantly it will prove Rush Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos" was a complete and utter failure!!!
