Despite SD victory, Clinton has failed to land the nomination.

(CNN) - Sen. Hillary Clinton will win the South Dakota primary, according to CNN projections based on exit poll results and actual voting.

Despite Clinton's win in South Dakota, she falls short of the Democratic nomination for president. Her rival, Sen. Barack Obama, secured the nomination earlier in the evening.

Yes she did, that makes 6 out of 15 that Obama has lost lately.
Obama people, can't you stop 'Hoping' long enough to see the Republicans are laughing?

He is not winning at all lately, Just Black NC. This is a problem.

    Signed,

    I agree with Melanie, 100%.

I, too, am an Obama supporter, but I'm proud to have had these two exceptional candidates to choose from. Congratulations to them both for a job well done.

Let's unite the party for Fall. Please, Clinton supporters, no McCain. Don't destroy your country to make your point. Senator Clinton doesn't want you to.

I started out an Obama supporter, but after the Wright incident switched to Clinton. It's too bad, because I truly believe she is the stronger candidate. Obama needs her as VP or we may spend the next 4 years with John McBush.

How in the heck does she beat him in a state he has been leading in polls for weeks on the very day the whole world knew he would wrap up the nomination?

I think when we get the makeup off this movie star, we are going to see lots of folks are not so hip to all the warts.

This is the weakest clinching of a nomination in modern history.

Obama has really won by a land slide. NOT!

A very very week win by Obama. He clinched the nomination as he has lost ground at the same time.

He's not going to win in November. You can all celebrate until November though.

Anyone else worried about Obama's standing right now? He was up over 15 a couple weeks ago in SD and now he gets smoked! It wouldn't be the Dems if they didn't nominate a weak candidate. The tradition of losing continues...

Totally agree with Terry's comments.... Hillary Clinton is such a Lady, a fighter, a person with conviction, with future, she has a lot of experience and background, culture education. something that unfortunately Barak doesn't have.
Barak team don't even think that all Hillary's supporter will vote for you, I hope that your supported could help you to win the Presidency! as CNN always said..just leave your memento..and keep dreaming to be the commander and chief..beacuse is juts a dream for you and your supporters..
Go Hillary!! Thank U for give us the best elections ever in USA!!
You are a winner, because you don't have fear and for be a fighter as always!!
If people still proud because Barak is afro amercan (minority).. I am more proud to be supported the oldest minority in the world WOMEN!!!
We suffered a lot of racism!!!
    Thanks Hillary!

Again, the American people have spoken in South Dakota.

  19. Garrett, staunch Hillary lover.

I shed tears tonight for Hillary. I feel that this country will be incomplete without her leadership at the very top.
But I will support Obama now.
    I love Hillary.
    SHE NEEDS TO BE VP.
I love her. She stands for true change.

I'm writing in Hillary if she is not the VP or voting for McCain. That doesn't mean I'm a traitor Tailor.. That means I'm a free thinker and not a lemming. I didn't drink the Koolaid. It's about the best person to be President, not a popularity contest with no serious ramifications who wins.

    Obama/Clinton

    If not Obama/Clinton..

Write in Hillary or vote for McCain.. Experience is required to be President, not sweet talk.

Hillary has all the public votes and all the people want her.. so is a such mistake have a Barak as a nominee!!

Man ... you guys are being childish..."if Obama pick clinton for the VP you will vote for McCain".... that's just as bad as those who say that they'll vote McCain now that Obama has wrapped up the nomination. This is so silly and childish. You better be certain that you understand that although this may not affect you... or perhaps you'll be too old to care. It will affect your kids. Com'on ! WANT 4 MORE year of the same!

Nominating the arrogant prick Obama would be the greatest "strategic blunder" in US History. DO NOT CONCEDE, Hillary. Win this thing in the convention.

    Hillary '08.

Hillary – Fla and Mich do not count – get a freekin grip. You did not win the popular vote. You are not the candidate. Please leave with grace and some dignity.
