Sources: Clinton will officially suspend on her run on Saturday

Hillary Clinton will officially end her campaign for the presidency by the end of the week, multiple sources told CNN.
Sen. Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that she will let her supporters and party leaders decide her course.
The campaign said late Friday that Clinton would be hosting an event in Washington Saturday to "thank her supporters and express her support for Senator Obama and party unity."
Obama and Clinton were in Washington on Wednesday to each address the influential American Israel Public Affairs Committee. The candidates ran into each other at the AIPAC conference and had a brief chat, Obama spokeswoman Linda Douglass said.
"She's an extraordinary leader of the Democratic Party and has made history alongside me over the last 16 months. I'm very proud to have competed against her," Obama told the Israel lobbying group.
Obama became his party's presumptive nominee Tuesday and will be looking to unite Democrats divided by the long and contentious primary season.
"I am very confident how unified the Democratic Party is going to be to win in November," he said in a Senate hallway Wednesday.
UPDATE: The Clinton campaign has announced it is holding an event Saturday to "to thank her supporters and express her support for Senator Obama and party unity."

To all those, who don't want to unite the party and only continue your stupid and baseless divisiveness: Go ahead. Encourage her to run as any thing she wants. My question to you all is that what would you say and do if you wake up on 1/21/09 after President-elect Obama has been sworn in as President the day before and she is still running as whatever.
Now you all can vote 4 McCain...just be sure about his running mate. When he dies in office and ultra conservative he puts in office with him requires you to take a virginaty test , and if you fail you get flogged, you'll be happy. Real happy....maybe the judge will tie you to a chair and if it floats you're a wiich and if it don't you were faithful......you'll B real happy.

To all you Clinton people: How is she going to finance a campaign as an Independent. Some quote her deby as almost $40 MILLION dollars.
She had way more money at the beginning if the campaign and she literally threw it away because she thought she would win by Super Tuesday.
Do the math...Obama did not spend 4 times as much when you add it all up and include the debt. She has no bargaining chips as she needs him to help her raise money to pay off the bills she has in her ads slamming him!!
You obama supporters are such a sad lot. Our cities are in ruin because we have monkies running things and stealing all they can and now you want to put the biggest monkey,and his spouse, in the White House. AND you now want Hillary's supporters to help you do this after calling her and her supporters everything in the book. Well. read my lips,FU. I'm gladly voting for John McCain and I hope others will follow.
She is a leader of our democratic party and she has no oher options. she will chair the democratic national committe for sometimes. we have to respect her as a laeader of our party. lets forget the primary season. look forward not backward.

As someone who has donated twice to Obama this primary season, I am witholding further donations until I can be sure that Clinton is not the VP pick. I will never vote for a ticket with Hillary on it.

I was so saddened to see Hillary's non-concession speech last night. To see just how out of touch with reality she is just compare both candidate's campaign websites for today: Obama's features today's headlines from major U.S. newpapers proclaiming him the nominee. Hillary's makes no mention of last night primary's or his win. Her latest 'news' is from last weekend bragging of her win in Puerto Rico...so pathetic. If she won would she have governed with the same selective reality?
I supported Hillary Clinton but will NEVER support or vote for Obama. I have voted Democrat for the last 17 years but will vote for McCain this fall. I just donated to McCain's campaign and will actively support him.
I wish she would run as an Independent.
Read these and all the other blogs during this campaign from the Obama supporters. This hatred and nastiness from them is exactly what makes all others very careful and reluctant to back him even if we do want the Dems back in the White House.
Is this what we can expect from the people in this country if Obama gets elected. Hatred, rudeness and nastiness. That is not change but more of the same compounded. This should make all people sit back and wonder what are you doing and what type of people are you becoming and is that what you really want for this country.
I have been so disgusted with the people on these blogs all these months from people of both sides but especially from the Obama supporters as I have never in my long life time seen such hatred spewed the way it has been. Very worrisome and troubling.
Then we will hear more choruses of "I will vote for McCain". So mature and level headed of Clinton supporters. Also, I will believe it when I hear it from Clinton's mouth that she will concede.
