A Clinton backer turns to McCain

(CNN) – After eight years of a Bush White House, Will Bower was looking for a Democrat to move into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in January 2009. But not just any Democrat. Bower wanted Hillary Clinton to win the Democratic nomination and move back into the home she left in January 1993.

After a bitter primary battle Clinton conceded the race to Barack Obama last week urging her supporters to back her rival. Bower heard the message, but he is not going to follow it. Instead, he said in an interview he plans to vote for Republican John McCain and has formed “Party Unity My A–,” otherwise known as PUMA to express his frustration at the Democratic Party.

WATCH: Hillary Clinton throw her support behind Obama

The initiative he said is “to unite voters who don't want Barack Obama as president.”

The 36 year-old Washington resident said his anger is not just directed at Obama, but the party as a whole.

“[The] Democratic Party has thrown away democratic principles through this primary season," charged Bower, who pointed to the delegate sanctions levied by the DNC against Michigan and Florida. "If parties won't uphold democratic principles; who will?"

The group is predominantly comprised of female Clinton supporters, said Bower. The Clinton-turned-McCain supporter said he has also helped launch the “Just Say No Deal,” a nationwide coalition he estimated has two million voters who are also vowing to ‘say no’ to the Illinois senator come November.

Bower acknowledged Obama will be crowned the Democratic nominee at the party’s August convention, but said he holds out hope that the GOP will uncover potentially harmful information between now and then. At that time, “the party might be desperate for another candidate," he said.

Obama ran as clean of a campaign as he could and now I really wish he had gotten dirty and thrown the kitchen sink at Clinton. He probably wish he had too, since being gracious to her didn’t do any good at the end. Clinton and her supporters were very nasty to Obama and his supporters since the beginning of this primary and when we returned the insults, they didn’t like it so much. I thought he was too nice to her and her supporters since they were to ones who started all this nastiness and most of the rumors/lies about him were started by her supporters. I am one of those “young voters” and I’m very disappointed with some of my elders. They have definitely taught me how to change the rules when convenient and how to be a sore loser when I don’t get my way. I always hear them complain about how terrible we are but what ever is wrong with the “youth” it is because they were terrible parents and we are a result of it. Obama will probably lose because of their spite and I and his 18 million supporters won’t forget it and we won’t let our children forget either.

Hillary signed to NOT let FL or MI votes count. She only whined after it turned out she needed those votes. Had places been reversed she would have fought against having them count. Get off your high horses people. Hillary is not a saint. McCain is a loose cannon ready to blow us into another war. Obama is our safest bet by a long shot.

Let Hillary rest. It was a long campaign. She made an abundance of "mis-speaks" and her supporters/workers are among the dumbest yet. What a legacy she has to overcome now, with all the "stupids" saying they will vote for McCain rather then the Democratic candidate selected by choice of the people. I am sure she is taking a well deserved rest at a good spa....and she and her daughter are enjoying the last trickle of money from supporters to do so.

You know that she is plotting and planning while resting, so never fear-she will be back-the other shoe will drop! She only "suspended" her campaign you know, she didn't say she would completly quit–she only said she would cooperate with asking people to support Obama, she will be doing that now that she has demanded to be made Vice President in the campaign-mark these words, she plans to be in the Cabinet closest to the President so she can step in at a moments notice.....Watch-Wait--and then weep!

Kelly: Good for you. You think like me. If thousand's of Hillary's voters would all join together and vote McCain ObamaOsama would lose the election. He acts like he is the president now. Making plans and selecting who would be in his cabinet. He may be in for a shocker. I read on the internet that there is going to be a big demostration against Obama and the superdelegates in Denver at the convention. Obama is not officially the nominee as yet. The demostrators want Hillary to be president and they are suppose to go after the superdelegates. Nancy, Dean and Reid are all underhanded and made deals with the superdelegates to support Obama because Nancy wanted to be the only woman in power.

Don't be fooled by these people. These people are lying! If it had been another white woman or man that beat Hillary they would have liked their wounds and sucked it up. Their pride can not take the fact that Hillary was beat by a Black man. well guess what? If Obama loses in November, we won't forget either when she decides to run again.

These petty, and childish grudges are what is destroying america. That and ignorant, lazy americans who buy into whatever is spoon fed them. If people actually did their research on the supposed, "majority vote", they would've seen that clinton was weighing the vote in her favor.......IT WAS AN EMPTY CLAIM!!! Yet, the public devours it is fact because its what they want to hear. You clinton backers who can't move on, are just like those who were up in arms after the 04 elections.....I hate President Bush, but, because we live in a country founded on the principles of a democratic republic, he took the vote due to the majority vote. I wasn't happy, but I moved on. I was hoping to end this war OF terror that is being fought in our name through the democratic party, but the beligerant children who can see the bigger picture have destroyed this......Thanks a lot guys.

  9. GROW UP!!

If ny kids acted this way after they or their favorate team lost a game , I'd threaten them with time-out for a week.

But goody for me, my kids are pretty bright and they would quickly see how childish they were acting. They'd apologize for being so spiteful. They'd recognize that nothing good comes out of sulking and pouting. And most importantly, THEY"D GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON WITH THEIR LIVES!!!!

To any Democrat voting for McMaverick ... do what you will, that's your right as an American ... just don't try and claim any moral high ground by voting for someone that represents the exact the opposite values as Hillary. You are simply immature individuals who choose to cut off your collective noses to spite your collective faces! You truly are pathetic losers and are showing disrespect to your candidate!

This kind of stuff wont fly. They tried to shut her down for long time and she just kept winning even when they told her voters it was over, Obama lies, is doubletalking(transparency gov. than holds closed religous and fund raisers)has no ethics and his judgement is flawed to put it nicely. He says knuckleheaded in the Rezko deal. All the people surrounding him. No thanks. to anti american, law breakers, terrorists and raceist. Not what i see in my white house. This attitude is what is going to save us from being sold to the Arabs. Obama had almost exactly the same stance as Hillary? Because he repeatedly concurred with her response or took her positions as his own creations! He just isn't that smart folks. I would rather 4 years of Mc Cain and live free than end up being an annex of some Middle East nation.

What is wrong with you people. Your taking your power of voting and poisoning it. Base your vote on the issues at hand not rumors you hear or some hidden agenda you may have. I feel like I'm talking to myself here.

    Jan,

DNC is nothing, but a group of corrupt business men. Like you said correctly "did what they thought was right". Well, we are people and we think what's right for us. We don't have to agree with DNC and follow them blindly. This isn't Russia or Cuba where the elections are held when the leader is unable to rule the country and there's only one person on the ballot. We are THE GOVERNMENT RUN BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE–It's in the Constitution I believe. That's why DNC is finished. FOREVER!!! If you like what they "decided" then why don't you participate in COMMUNISTIC elections in one of the countries run by dictators.

President Putin in Russia, says that people are voting for their President. It's complet bull s**t. He presented Medvedev as his successor–PUTIN DECIDED FOR THE PEOPLE WHAT WAS RIGHT!!!
I CAN'T STAND OBAMA AND WILL NEVER VOTE FOR HIM!!! HE THINKS HE CAN BUY ME–WRONG!!! MY VOTE BELONGS ONLY TO ME!!! Get ready to face his big loss in November.

    Support HILLARY by supporting OBAMA...
If you are a true Hillary supporter than you will support her decision to back Barack Obama. Imagine your Hillary being the reason for the democrats to fall in 08. If you decide to vote for 4 more years of this Republican nonsense then go right ahead. There is no way..JMcCain doesn't even write his own speeches...can he think for himself? He does as he told and reads what they tell him to read. Go ahead and support that...

    Get a life Bower!!!!!

Do you not understand that the Democratic groups from both states came up with those proposals. They even went against Sen. Clinton's wishes, because they knew it was the right thing to do.

Also, they were punished just like the states that jumped for the RNC. So, where is your logic? I am lost!!!!

  24. MORE WAR AND DRAFT

I am a Hillary Supporter all the way. But, voting for McCain means you were never a democrat in the first place.
Even according to Hillary......Her views are not much different than
Obama's. Any of you that vote for McCain in November could not have shared any of Hillary views since Hillary has an unrefutable stance against The Republican perspective. You would be contradicting everything you say you stand for with Hillary if you vote for McCain. Don't hide behind politics and use some lame excuse which completely mutes sound logic. Simply say you would never vote for Obama because he is not white and then we can watch housing prices fall even further thru the floor to record lows unimaginable to man, watch transportation become a luxury for the wealthy when the average american will not be able to afford fuel to get to work, and watch your children become available for the draft for the 100 year war. Then at least your being honest with your self and with society as well. I am a full red blooded white american. And if McCain is voted into office I will leave this country because I don't want to be a part of a de-evolving country that is rooted in 18th century stupidity. That is not American at all. And all of you hiding behind it need to crawl back into your caves where you belong. I know that most of these "so called Clinton Supporter" are older whites who lack education beyond the 8th grade (go figuree..democrats voting for a REPUBLICAN).
This is why there should not be healthcare until these old worlders have left this world. It is because of them this country cannot evolve.
The youth matter the most in any country because it is the youth which are the future. I strongly encourage all youth to get out and vote and negate any effects the "Old Worlders" may have in the up coming election. "It is time "

The DNC didnt do what was right or Hillary would be the primary winner she showed her self to be. They had to drag Obama over the line as Hillary pounced him 25 to 40 points in race over race. He raised great amount of money but out spent her all the way only to lose anyway. Hello?? The way to White House was in there hands but they went with apeasement. How many times I heard cannt take it away from AA's. Now we lose in Nov. No one has to lead us thats the thing Obama cannt understand. Everyone falls in line. we didnt in Pa., Ohio,Wv,Kentucky,PR,NY.,Fl, Mi so many more.Private investagation has to be called on for new registrants. They are finding thousands dead people on books and yes some voted.Hello??I am voteing for McCain cause this isnt the party i loved. Hope it comes back soon.
