McCain campaign launches new 'Truth Squad'

Wes Clark, an Obama supporter, who said Sunday that the Arizona senator’s service in Vietnam did not mean that he was qualified to serve as commander-in-chief.
Leaders of the latest group include McCain’s fellow Vietnam prisoners of war Air Force Col. Bud Day and Marine Lt.Col. Orson Swindle, along with former Navy pilot Carl Smith, who served with him.
Earlier in the primary season, the campaign created a similar effort in advance of the presidential primary in South Carolina, where McCain’s 2000 White House bid was derailed by rumors spread by supporters of then-Texas Gov. George W. Bush.
The South Carolina group included Adjutant General Stan Spears, state Attorney General Henry McMaster, House Speaker Bobby Harrell and Seventh Circuit Solicitor Trey Gowdy.
Earlier this month, Barack Obama’s campaign launched an aggressive effort to respond to and discredit e-mail rumors about the presumptive Democratic nominee, including a new Web site that gives supporters the ability to upload their address books for rapid response messages and a chart that lays out alleged sources of misinformation.

it's quite silly - all Clark said is "getting shot down doesn't qualify you to be commander in chief" - who would even dream of contesting the truth of that statement?
So I guess Wes Clark is implying that based on his own military experience, he too has nothing of value to offer should he be asked to serve a roll in an Obama administration.
Does his comment also imply that Eisenhower and Kennedy's military experience counted for nothing either. Wes, your one tinny piece of a long line of jokes that a potential Obama presidency intends to play of an gullible electorate. Get over yourself.
I think I know why many of Obama's supporters are young. These young people don't give a darn thing about the sacrifice our arm forces has given for them and Obama. All they can do is to attack McCain's record. To set the record straight. McCain was SEPERATED from his first wife and was in the final processes of divorce when he met cindy. Dont go on about her stealing him from another women. I'm sorry but a 5 year gap in a relationship is not always going to bring people closer together...He met Cindy, married and a few years later they had 3 beautiful children together and adopted another one who was at one of Cindy's operation smile hospitals in Banglidesh. what a great family, they have the respect of so many Americans.

Why are you pro-actively defending your military record, you know the one you still try to keep secret although in the past you expected John Kerry to fully release his? General Clark didn't discredit your service, he just doesn't believe it automatically makes qualified for President.
Or are you afraid of Vietnam Veterans Against John McCain? You know the group, they were started many years ago by your fellow servicemen and family members of POWs who didn't come home. Started because of the documents that were available through the FOIA that outlines how you were found guilty of "seriously collaborating" with the enemy and during your service how you failed repeatedly to following procedures leading to the deaths of 9 of your felllow servicemen.
