Fist bump not gone?

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/07/02/art.fistbump2.gi.jpg caption="Barack Obama and wife Michelle bump fists on June 3."](CNN) - Rest assured America, perhaps Barack Obama has not abandoned his signature fist bump.

It appears Tuesday's pool report - widely reported by several media outlets, including CNN - that Obama refused to bump fists with a child in Ohio was incorrect.

A review of the tape shows the child was instead asking Obama to sign his hand, but the presumptive Democratic nominee declined.

Watch: Obama doesn't decline bumping fists

"Mom might not be happy when she comes home," Obama said. "She'll be like, 'What is the dirt on your hand?'

That "fist bump" shows how close they are as a couple. Finally we're going to have a real family in the WH !!! If the evangelicals are looking for a candidate with strong principles the option is OBAMA . God bless the USA!!!

Good thing that he didn't refuse to bump hands – he would have lost my vote! CNN – you are a sorry excuse for a news organization – when will you focus on issues. How about some in depth analysis on how the candidates energy plans stack up to each other. How about asking the candidates for a 100 day action plan about the environment and reducing our dependence on foreign oil.

Great! I'm glad to see he and his wife are bringing back the terrorist-fist bump. The other day I saw an 8 year old do it....what has happened to America, BIraq?

It is just really sad how all of the networks like to report irrelevant news in the first place. Instead of trying to find out why the price of gasoline is continuing to go up to help the American people, you want to put Barack and his family and friends under a micro scope until the duaration.

But you call yourselves one of "the best politiacl teams on television" everyday.

    So sad..........................

Fist bumps? Let's compare the candidates' platforms. Why does Barack continue to run from a debate with McCain? I know its not as exciting or arrational as a rally, but he could at least humor us with a debate.

I told you America, there was nothing to fear, from "fist bumping".......... America, is safe; again!........................Why is it, we can't get as "enthused", about getting "Our Leaders in Congress"; to solve any of these economic problems, before so many "American dreams" are dashed...........I'm I alone, on that?

Well, judging by the thousands of comments generated by this false news item, the damage has already been done. How about you actually apologize, CNN?

... Can we get back to the issues please??? Who cares about fist pumps with 2 wars showing no signs of ending, record federal deficits, a crashing housing market and just as bumbling general economy, presidential endorsement of torture and unprecedented federal incompetence, and with Blackwater and Halliburton???

Getting it wrong makes no difference. Covering this silliness at all is an indicator of the state of American journalism.

202 days till the end of the Bush administration.

This is just another vantage point of the fist-bump picture!!! What's going on CNN?!

CNN, WHY? Why are you guys irresponsibly reporting irrelevant issues? I mean, if you want to report trivial matters' they better be correct.
