Obama: King’s Mercedes 'a pretty smooth ride'

Sen. Obama met with Jordan's King Abdullah Tuesday.

Sen. Obama met with Jordan's King Abdullah Tuesday.

(CNN) - So what exactly did Barack Obama and King Abdullah discuss when the monarch drove the presidential candidate to the airport? CNN’s Candy Crowley asked the Illinois senator that very question.

Obama didn’t divulge “confidences between myself and King Abdullah” to Crowley. But he said the ride was smooth – perhaps too smooth for some.

“I gather he was going faster than it felt while I was in the car,” said Obama. “That is the report I was getting from the Secret Service afterwards.”

King Abudllah II of Jordan drove Obama to the airport in a Mercedes 600 this week as Obama readied to fly from Jordan to Israel. Their ride followed a meeting regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Obama. Educated by the white man and now after he learned and did the right thing the American way he is hated more by them. All our lives we are told to stay in school and out of trouble and all doors will be open to you. Take care of your family and pay your bills and everything will be ok. Well we have a man in Obama that has done all of the above and he is hated by many Americans. WHY??? If he was White and the world had the same view of him as it does right now he would be the greatest man alive but just because he is black he is called every hate filled name in the book. They say "who does he think he is" and all sorts of things about him. In other words they are thinking doesn't that "N" know his place. I will answer thay for you and the answer is YES he does and his place is the place that he is in right now running for the office of the President Of the United States.

Why does people say Obama looks so Presidental?

When he wears an empty suit and has a body of a ten year old boy.

"Well said like a true gutter politician from Chicago!" – Dems be dopes

You are truly an idiot. How many Chicago politicians discuss riding in the King of Jordan's care and whether the Secret Service thought the King was driving too fast? Try, really try hard, and maybe one day you'll finally find a clue.

Obama is bringing back respect and dignity to America. Something Bush/McCain have destroyed.

Most of you haven't had either the opportunity or the interest to travel out of this country to notice how low other citizens look at Americans right now. I guess you all are happy in your Island and care less about other opinions. Overall I think this is a great trip for Obama to make as a citizen of the US and of the world. We need to bring down the wall between us and the rest of the world which Bush and McCain have helped put up. What a better way to start the process. Go Obama!

the King of Jordan is a very cool guy. Also a good friend to America. Another excellent world partner for Obama to work with when he is President. This overseas trip by Obama has been an excellent success.

Obama making allies and using diplomacy. Now there is a real leader. McCain would just say that if you don"t agree with me you hate America.

It's called hospitality at it's finest. He belongs with world leaders and intellectuals all over the world. Our country needs brains not racial bigotry. We need a leader that will try to unite all, not racially divide. It's not all the Repubs or McCain, that promote this division, the media has the greatest role in this matter. Look at their daily ticker. Not a day goes by, that we are reminded that Obama is Black. Usually negative stories, that has nothing to do with him. But they need to have that scary ? mark on him.

Of course Obama is arrogant, we already know that, but he is also very scary. He is not the President and God knows what he is saying. He is not yet in a position to be discussing anything of any importance with anyone. What matters is our homeland, the beautiful and great USA. Obama acts like he is running for President in Europe. Well, he better be worried about getting votes in the USA. Hopefully, he will not get to be President here. 18 million of us are praying that he does not. He cannot be trusted. McCain is right when he said he would rather make a speech in Europe when he is President. He has enought brains to know that.

Please report on things that actually matter. Such as what Obama ate for dinner. What time he went to sleep. What brand of clothing he buys. You know, all that important stuff. Or, you can report on McCain who is just talking about trying to fix American problems (aka things that are worthless to report on!)

More useless coverage of Obama please! Who cares if his idea of change is being for/against an issue at the same time! HE DOESN'T SWEAT!

I'm so glad the intellectuals at CNN decided this was news-worthy.....gosh, and here I thought child abuse, $4.00+ gasoline and the downturn of the economy were issues that should rate a headline--thanks CNN for correcting my thinking for me! And hey, since you guys are so brilliant why don't I just go ahead and "buy" all the hype about what a great candidate you think Obama is (you know, since you guys are so smart and have your priorities together)

Maybe talked about the "One World Org" and how he was going to run it and looking for a second chair. Or maybe he was trying to get another big loan or more financing for his campaign.
He is playing politics and really has some uninformed off the wall ideas and ways to implement them. He is a coward as far as I am concerned.

    Janey for McCain'ty:

The golf cart is remotely the only thing friendly ( environmentally or otherwise) about McCain, and that's a fraction of anything positive or progressive that he can offer which suggests to me there's much more to worry about than your comment or the possibility of McCain getting anywhere near the oval office, "red phone" or the "button", "my friend."

Before Obama left for his trip to the war zone, Middle East & Europe, McCain said he should go to South America next. After this successful trip, do you think McCain still wants Obama to travel to visit our neighbors to the South?
