McCain's biopsy negative

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/07/29/art.mccainbiop.ap.jpg caption="McCain's biopsy was negative."](CNN) - A biopsy on a patch of skin removed from John McCain's temple Monday shows no evidence the Arizona senator has skin cancer, the Mayo clinic announced.

"Senator McCain visited the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, yesterday for a routine check of his dermatological health,”

Michael Yardley, Chair of Public Affairs at the Mayo Clinic, said in a statement issued Tuesday. “The biopsy that was performed did not show any evidence of skin cancer. No further treatment is necessary.”

McCain, who has had four malignant melanomas removed in the past, had a "mole-like" growth lifted from his face during a routine checkup. He told reporters later in the day it was removed only as a precautionary measure.

McCain also told CNN's Larry King Monday night he gets a routine skin checkup every three months, and his doctor often removes small patches of skin to ensure he remains cancer free.

"We do it quite frequently for those of us that were young and had great exposure to the sun," he said. "As you know my dad was in the Navy and we lived in places where I was at the beach a lot, and I'm paying the price for that."

Truthfully, I strongly dislike McCain as a politician, but am glad that his biopsy came out negative. Don't hold your breath, however; later testing might find it to be malignant.

I don't know why he needed a biopsy... With all that negative campaigning he said he WAS NOT going to do (but is now persuing at full speed) his nice face has already fallen off and we now see the real McBush for what he really is....

Come on CNN, do you really expext the Mccain to campaign and his doctor to tell us if the biopsy was positive, it might as well be positive , no one has would know, the confidentiality between the clinic and their clients mixed with the political aspect of it will always show good news, nothing to worry about , he's healthy ,
The media should question instead McCain tendancy to forgets things that is a direct reflect of his age.
72 years old is an age to retire not to start a new career, the guy has been collecting social security for more than 8 years now..Let's be real.

So, during his presidency we will be looking for more cancer every three months. I hope he picks a good VP.

    1. McCain supported the drilling moratorium; now he’s against it.
    2. McCain strongly opposes a windfall-tax on oil company profits. Three weeks earlier, he was perfectly comfortable with the idea.
    3. McCain thought Bush’s warrantless-wiretap program circumvented the law; now he believes the opposite.
    4. McCain defended “privatizing” Social Security. Now he says he’s against privatization (though he actually still supports it.)

the press must be so disappointed, they were doing round the clock coverage of it yesterday on CNN. It's so ridiculous how they blow everything out of proportion. I would think they could find some legitimate story to tell, but no, they have to get hysterical over nothing

Hey, great for McCain. I still won't vote for him. Do people really want to hold their breath everytime this guy has something cut off of him?

Maybe it is all of his contained fury and his dark side welling up.

today is the 41 anniversary of the tragedy aboard the USS Forrestal. a day where 134 crewmen where killed and another 161 wounded. some reports indicate that John Mccain wet started his Sky Hawk, which led to a series of explosions. the brave men of the USS Forrestal fought for some 20 hrs to contain the blaze. John Mccain was immediately transferred to another ship the USS Oriskany (the only Forrestal crewman to be immediately transferred). A few month later John McCain would get shot down and captured by the Vietcong, he had by his own admission while being a POW gave up Military information to the enemy, garnishing McCain with the nickname…SONGBIRD. in 1973 returning home McCain would soon start having an affair with Cindy Lou, his now second wife. his then current wife Carol, who was a model at one point and the mother of his first children was in a car accident which left her dis figured. Mccain left her to marry Cindy 1 month after the divorce was final…thin ink had not dried. using Cindy's vast fortune McCain got into politics. he had risen from scandals including Keating 5 to reports of an affair with a lobbyist. Now John Mccain wants us to vote for him….i think NOT. i could not in good conscience vote for a man who graduated 894 out of 899, has 59 lobbyist working on his campaign, who will do or say ANYTHING to get a vote, offers NO solution only attacks, has that kind of temper, finds the only answer to a problem is WAR. i know you don't have the guts to post this CNN, but the American people need to know the truth about this man.
