[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/07/30/art.billc.gi.jpg caption="Bill Clinton made millions in 2007 off speeches."](CNN) - Former president Bill Clinton earned $10.1 million in 2007 from paid speeches, according to Sen. Hillary Clinton’s U.S. Senate financial disclosure reports released Wednesday.

Clinton delivered a total of 54 paid speeches in 12 states, the District of Columbia, and 11 countries. His haul from speaking fees for 2006 was $10.2 million.

His most expensive address was delivered on August 14, 2007, in London to AEG, a Los Angeles-based entertainment company, for $425,000. The former president earned $150,000 for 31 of his 54 speeches and an overall average of $186,759.26 per speech. He did not deliver any paid speeches for less than $100,000 in 2007.

The groups he addressed last year include large companies, such as General Electric (delivered on January 13 for $150,000) and Goldman Sachs (delivered on March 1 for $150,000); civic organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Club of Los Angeles (delivered on March 6 for $150,000); and media organizations, such as TVLand (delivered on March 23 for $150,000) and KCBS Radio in San Francisco (delivered on April 14 for $150,000).

Just over half of Clinton’s income from paid speeches came from overseas. He earned a total of $5,150,000 from speeches in 10 countries: Canada (six speeches for a total of $1.1 million); Denmark (three speeches for a total of $790,000); Great Britain (2 speeches for a total of $595,000); Germany (one speech for $250,000); Greece (one speech for $300,000); Hungary (one speech for $275,000); Korea (one speech for $150,000); the Netherlands (one speech for $250,000); Norway (three speeches for $870,000); and Sweden (two speeches for $595,000)

  2. Another Republican for Obama

CNN is angry that Clinton didn't win the primaries. That is why they flip-flopped into the "Independent Network". Give me a break. CNN was and still is the Clinton News Network and they are angry at Obama. Look at how much NEGATIVE press they give him compared to postive. It's about 3 to 1 negative.

Good going Bill 15 Mil to go and you can retire Hillary's debt. You can count on the Puma's or the 18 million sitting on their pocketbooks. They wanted your wife to keep fighting but can't contribute $2 each!
I don't want to see her pimp herself out for lunches with constituents anymore there is something unseemly about it ,don't you think?

Who would vote for a guy who stoops to such lows because he is losing the batlle for the media's attention? This is also the same guy who said that he would run an admirable campaign and not revert to dirty tactics when Hilary and Obama were doing battle. What else will this guy lie about????

Looks to me like the Clinton's won't miss the 13 million that Hillary loaned herself in the primary campaign!! As the saying goes: "The rich get richer and the poor get poorer"!! Doesn't seem to matter if its the 21st century!! The odds of becoming poorer seem to increase from one generation to the next!

    That is obscene.
Didn't Hillary deride Obama and his eloquence during her campaign. A tad hypocritical, n'est-ce pas.

Barack Obama CANNOT hold a candle to Bill Clinton, in any shape, way or form..........can't be done. Bill Clinton brought the Democrat Party back from the dead in 92 and Howard Dean turned around and dared to treat him like a step child during the primary.

When the rock star Obama looses in Nov. the uber left Dems will get the message.......The Clintons are "simply the best" and you let the newbies take over the party and lose. Whatever the Clintons do they have my support.

I think he should use this money to pay off Hillary's campain debt. I also question why he makes so much speaking in other countries. Is it because we're tired of listening to him?

I hope you and Hillary will get all these puma people to see the daylight if they vote for Mccain just another for years of Bush. Please make them see how stupid and dumb, and that they are being a racist. I supose they think if voting for Mccain his billionaire wife will put gas in there car, make the mortgage payment and put grocerys on the table and also she can get them a good supply of the drugs they need. So please get these people to wake up.

...civic organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Club of Los Angeles (delivered on March 6 for $150,000)...

He charged $150,000 to the Boys and Girls Club? Seems kind of greedy. How many kids could that money have helped?

ps. Typo in 3rd paragraph: "He did not delivery any paid speeches..." Gotta love those editors

William J Clinton is the best former President we had. The way Obama and the DNC ditched the CLINTONS is unamerican.Bill Clinton has helped so many people here in the USA in the 90's and is helping people in Africa today and helped get Harlem NY back to a great place. I contributed to Hillary's campaign and I would love to hear the former President speak(yes I would pay). Bill Clinton's speeches come from the heart,he is the true American story.growing up without a DAD, going to public schools ,getting into great colleges because of his brain, and married one of the best role models any american can look up too.Remember Democrats when all of us LOVED BILL...what has happened to my party???? We elected him for 2 terms..stop ditching him now!!!!!

By the way, nice coin if you can get it. And it looks like former President Clinton got plenty of it.
Now, if he could get a little bit better wardrobe. The outfit he's wearing in the pix above is, well, wearing on me. 🙂

That should pay off Hillary's campaign debt, although Obama's going to take more than half of that through new taxes.
