Obama campaign launches 'Low Road Express' Web site

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/07/31/art.lowroadsite0731.bo.jpg caption="The Obama campaign launched a new Web site Thursday."]
(CNN) – A day after the Obama campaign released an advertisement entitled “Low Road,” the presumptive Democratic nominee’s camp is following up with the Web site “Low Road Express.”

The new site collects media coverage – editorials, fact check articles, and video clips - about the strategies and tactics of Sen. John McCain’s campaign in recent weeks.

The Republican National Committee recently launched two Web sites focused on Obama. On Wednesday, the RNC rolled out “Audacity Watch,” a Web site that collects together video clips of media coverage about Obama and an RSS feed of information from GOP.com. Earlier this week, the RNC also launched “BarackBook,” a site that parodies Facebook, a popular social networking Web site where Obama has amassed more than a million supporters.

The Obama and McCain campaigns have traded fire this week as McCain released an ad entitled “Celeb” that likened Obama’s public notoriety with that of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. The Obama campaign quickly responded with the “Low Road” advertisement.

UPDATE: McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds issued the following statement about the Obama campaign's "Low Road Express" Web site: “Barack Obama’s campaign created his global celebrity status - we are celebrating it and informing voters of his inexperience. If there’s a low road in this campaign, Obama’s campaign paved it when they launched the first negative attack ad in this election.”

Seriously these two wind bags (Obama and McCain) need to stop with this silly crap. One says the others tack is low and then does the same thing. Tit for tat grade school recess taunts.

What is McCain saying about the Computer chips? how is the president forcing everyone into it. What about people that don't wont it? is it right to call them terrorist. What about people who stands by there religion , Will they be treated like terrorist? it should be the peoples choice to get the chip or not, and still be able to live and work in the USA, or any other state.

John McSlime has no plan, no platform, no positions, and no clue, so he has to resort to immature name calling and false innuendo ala Hillary Clinton.

This is same type of treatment the Obama campaign did to the Clintons. Senator Obama is despicable and does not offer anything but words. They are always playing the race card.

America will not be fooled by this shallow, inexperienced politician. I guess he thinks portraying a victim is a winning strategy.

We will choose experience, judgment, and a genuine war hero over a zero every time!

    Democrats for McCain!

For someone who accuses his opponent of spending too much time obsessing over him and using "attack ads", Obama sure is doing a lot of the same thing. Just another example of the hypocrisy of the Democrat party.

I've heard on the news that Barack Obama is "using the race card" & his speech from MO was briefly highlighted. I am from MO & his comment was taken out of context. He was talking about all the e-mails that are currently circulating the web questioning his religion, patriotism, name, etc. I've personally seen these types of e-mails & have been disgusted by them. They ARE being used as a "scare tactic", trying to show Barack as being the "anti-christ", etc., etc. Now, just where do you think these e-mails may have originated? Hmmmm, I wonder!

  9. Obama's Scary Because McCain Says So

They should show a broken bus, with three wheels on it, on the road to hell because that's where McCain is going.

Even the people on these blogs only write in negative things about Obama. No one is ever talking McCain up. At least not with any facts behind it. Everyone is so worried Obama is going to win the only thing they can do is to put him down. Why would you want McCain to lead this country? He's a child by the signs of his actions.

LOW road is RIGHT. I mean how much lower can McLAME stoop in his attacks jabs? It's downright stupid on all levels coming from a man who claims to be a straight talker.

The only thing McLame has proven is that he IS an OLD GRUMPY OLD MAN!!! And we ALL know what a grumpy OLD man is like. Ugh.

I think McLame is doing nothing but proving that he's NOT to be trusted and there is nothing STRAIGHT TALK about this OLD GROUCH!!

And you WONDER why this old man can't seem to connect with the younger voters. It's these type of behavior that continues to be Sen. McBush's disconnect.

McBush is a mad man old dude still using the same style of the Republicans. He is a real mad man and jealous of Obama. Especially when Obama made his trip overseas. You see, that was just the beginning of senator Obama's foreign affairs and this old dude already fired up can't have his patient he's all over the place complaining. Is this the kind of commander in chief the American people need in the whitehouse?? A mad man, old fashion not even remembering things, does not know which is shiit and shunni??? No for the old mad man old dude, yes for a change, a new direction to change the old McBush tactics causing our country a big big mess. Obama for president!

Mr. McCain is definitely taking the low road. I am still puzzled by his strategy. He probably could have used his maverick image to run his campaign which would be more effective. Now his campaign has just injected the race into this election. What a shame! I used to think of him a person of integrity and character. Now all my hope of him being a good president is out. Again, what a shame!

Obama should be proud of his name and who he is, if he cannot, why? Somebody mocked you? So what? Didn’t he mock McCain’s age? First Lady Hillary’s experience? Hillary likeable enough? Sweeties? Bitter people? Maybe Obama need to work on his heritage issue first but in private please. And don’t blame others for everything what he thinks wrong about this world. We've got enough problems already.

How long the Obama campaign think they can get away with not letting Obama debate?

The Obama campaign tried everything they learned from every playbook, now if their candidate can debate…

  20. Interracial Voter

Let's not stoop to Sen. McCain's level... The voters who will vote for Sen. McCain have already made up their minds not to vote for Sen. Obama. Sen. McCain's attacks help these uneducated and ignorant individuals feel validated in their choice to not vote for Sen. Obama. As they say "Ignorance is Bless". Let's remember that it is the "undecided voters" that we are trying to reach at this point. I have a feeling that this group of “undecided voters” will make a wise and educated choice. In the mean time, Sen. McCain can keep up his three-ring circus act to amuse those bias and easily persuaded voters. It's there money he's wasting.

No need to defend yourself Sen. Obama. Just stay on message and the voters who count will follow. "When you want to capture someone attention, Whisper!"

maybe the mccain campaign should start a ridicule web site to monitor how many time obama and his campaigh ridicules people be it hillary bill or mccain. it seems to me he finds debasing people because they don't happen to agree with him the favorite part of his campaign. personaly i find it wimpy. just like the the popular kid in school who always makes fun of the people he finds beneat him to entertain his friends. and like most of those type of people they end up losers.

"... McCain released an ad entitled “Celeb” that likened Obama’s public notoriety with that of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears."

I'm sorry, but when did Obama's popularity become "public notoriety"?

"Notoriety" is fame owed typically to some bad quality or deed. What exactly is the bad quality or deed? C'mon, CNN, think before you write.
