Obama campaign launches 'Low Road Express' Web site

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/07/31/art.lowroadsite0731.bo.jpg caption="The Obama campaign launched a new Web site Thursday."]
(CNN) – A day after the Obama campaign released an advertisement entitled “Low Road,” the presumptive Democratic nominee’s camp is following up with the Web site “Low Road Express.”

The new site collects media coverage – editorials, fact check articles, and video clips - about the strategies and tactics of Sen. John McCain’s campaign in recent weeks.

The Republican National Committee recently launched two Web sites focused on Obama. On Wednesday, the RNC rolled out “Audacity Watch,” a Web site that collects together video clips of media coverage about Obama and an RSS feed of information from GOP.com. Earlier this week, the RNC also launched “BarackBook,” a site that parodies Facebook, a popular social networking Web site where Obama has amassed more than a million supporters.

The Obama and McCain campaigns have traded fire this week as McCain released an ad entitled “Celeb” that likened Obama’s public notoriety with that of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. The Obama campaign quickly responded with the “Low Road” advertisement.

UPDATE: McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds issued the following statement about the Obama campaign's "Low Road Express" Web site: “Barack Obama’s campaign created his global celebrity status - we are celebrating it and informing voters of his inexperience. If there’s a low road in this campaign, Obama’s campaign paved it when they launched the first negative attack ad in this election.”

Yeah, RNC, that's what Americans are looking for. We're looking for you to spend our hard-earned contributions to McCain and you people, to develop parodies of Obama. We're looking for you to develop ads linking Obama to Paris Hilton. We're looking for McCain to spew false accusations and distortions, just like Rove. Yes, this is exactly what Americans want. We don't care about the spiraling cost of living. We don't care that oil speculators have taken the cost of fuel out of control to the point that it is in danger of ruining our economy. We don't care about spiraling healthcare costs. We don't care that the US looks like a bunch of idiots to the rest of the world. We don't care that the Bush administration has taken national debt from 128 billion in the black to 450+ billion in the red. We don't care that Bush is spending 10 billion dollars A MONTH to fund a war that is chasing ghosts IN THE WRONG COUNTRY. All we want you to do is make fun of your opponents.

I strongly suggest that the RNC get off your fat butts, get out into the country and listen to the American people. We are VERY unhappy with what you and the Bush administration have done. Pay up your bills down at the fat cat club. You're about to be out of a job.

Funny how the Obamites squeal whenever their mistakes catch up with them. I dare anybody to look on youtube.com and enter "Obama race card". There are videos of Obama claiming that others will bring up his color when nobody has! And, the liar then turns around and denies doing it. What an arrogant jerk!

Oh, I see, you point fingers at McCain as being too focussed on you in a negative way, while you go negative on McCain.......Yeah, that's why McCain is the Straight Talker and you BO are just full of it!

Why not just come right out and tell the truth. McCain hasn't had one original idea since this campaign began. All his policies are Bush/Cheney policies and even changing from being against off shore drilling for oil to being in favour of it was an original Bush policy but then McCain got the big 1 dollar plus donation from big oi.

Just one more pig at the trough.

I do wish both McCain and Obama would both stick to the issues more than they are right now, but the point made about Obama's "Celebrity Status" is spot on, what else can you call it? The funny things is that Obama can attribute more of his popularity to people's dislike of Bush which can only take you so far before you have to stand on more than a platform of "Change" which is incredibly unspecific and rather shallow in itself. If McCain can be more specific, the election may be his.

CNN TICKER: Obama is sensational in developing "The Low Road Express Web Site" which further contributes to Obama's perception that he has taken the high road in this campaign.
