Focus on the Family gets stormy response to Web video

Weeks later, their efforts did result in a deluge – the flood of criticism and news coverage that accompanied their decision to take down the video.
Focus officials insist the video - narrated by the man in charge of Web operations for the group’s political wing - was intended as a joke, and not a request for any divinely-inspired weather patterns.
Oh come on. FOF and Dobson aren't even Christian's. Every Evangelical I know of thinks these people are a pseudo-christian cult whose sole purpose is to generate money and publicity for Dobson and the like scounderals that mislead so many people. Would you do a feature like this with any other group of nut cases? I think not.
If they're going to pray about the weather, they might try to solve a real problem, though their friend Pat Robertson hasn't had much luck praying away hurricanes. Instead, these politicians want to rain down their spite on other people. And we supposed to believe it was just a joke. Some Christians!

Funny stuff. Don't have a sense of humor? I think just getting under liberal's skin was what they wanted and they accomplished it. Don't forget about the first amendment. Obama is the least qualified Senator to run for president in a decade. McCain is the best Senator currently. I'm voting for Obama. I love the way the Obama-bots call for party unity and want a republican as VP? Get real you mindless fans, the party is democrat, not repubacat? Who will run for President, God Forbid, if Obama should win the election and serve his term? What if a fanatic eliminated Obama, who do we want as President? The person to take his place is the VP. I cannot believe Obama would pick a republican as VP and expect any kind of party unity in November. His fans are pretty crazy, but I can't believe they could be that stupid. Maybe they are as dumb as I first thought they were. Whomever McCain picks as VP is, without a doubt, a hairs breath away from the Presidency. The party expects Hillary to be so loyal to the party, but Obama can pick a republican as VP, go figure. I will write Hillary on my ballot in November....

Since the antichrist must come before the second coming of the Lord, you would think 'Gods People', as they like to call themselves,would be supporting Barrack to put him in power to fullfil prophecy and hasten His return.

The video answers that age old question: WWJD? And after it rained torrents forever, they'd probably hold his head under water until he drowned……..just for fun, mind you.
Oh! Yeah, I can see them doing that.
Focus on the Family is nothing more than a an American version of the Taliban ... filled with hate mongering racists who want to take your freedom away, trash the Constitution of the United States of America, and replace it with their twisted version of a ne-Bible written to fit a political agenda. It's a domestic terrorists organization that funds and supports the bombing of family planning clinics and the murder of physicians. It's time that Dobson and his henchmen were arrested, tried for treason, and thrown in jail. Let's focus on freedom for a change, and that means the freedom to parctice any religion you ascribe to .... not just fundamentalist radical versions of christianity.

Before people start knocking down Christian faith please feel free to enlighten me… Obama born a muslim and claims he is christian but the word is out there he has no documentation of being baptized… so wouldn't that make him a muslim??? Why do muslims endorse him?

And the Constitution makes it a point to state that no religious test shall EVER be used as a determinant in whetehr a person is fit for office... so even if he is NOt a Christian (which he is) this does not matter. If you are so shallow minded that you cannot vote for anyone who might believe differently than you than maybe you should just stay home.. or do you support all those who ahve broken the law in office are you like them?
Colorado Springs-based Focus on the Family has a hollow faith if they think God answers prayers for rain to disrupt a meeting. Do they also pray for winning lottery numbers and believe people get cancer as a punishment by God?
I am glad it's gone. Ads are expensive & you did NOT intend it as a joke or you wouldn't have put it out there, it would be a waist of time & money.
