(CNN) - Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean has issued a statement reacting to the shooting at the Arkansas Democratic Party headquarters:

"This senseless tragedy comes as a shock to all of us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Chairman Gwatney and his family and we pray for his full and speedy recover," he said. "While the investigation of this shooting continues, and our primary concern remains with Bill and his family, we commend the courageous and speedy action of law enforcement officials in apprehending the suspect."

Dean is one of the great Democrats of this century, who was blasted by the media in 2004. We wouldn't be in the situation we are in if Dean had been the presidential candidate. He could have beaten Bush and his advanture in Iraq.

I just hope that there will be a country after this administration for our children and grandchildren to enjoy. This administration has bred greed and selfishiness the likes I have not known in my 65 years. Dean would not have allowed that to happen. But, he was wiped out by the media.

Why are the Re-Pugs saying they will vote retard because Hillary did not win? Do you folks think you are fooling anyone?

A true DEM will not vote re-tug no matter who is selected AND for those of you so called Hillary die-hards; you are all welcome to vote re-puke too.

Come November 5th. you will be on the loosing team AND this country will be mostly blue. Take that to the bank!

This reminds me of the subject at hand. It seem the crazy ones are getting desperate and are now clining to their guns...huh?

    Shame on CNN

A man shoots up the Democratic office and a person inside in the US. and all CNN can talk about is Georgia over by Russia and Cindy Mc Cain's hand. Its tragic when the focus is defending people for oil. If this is not the case we would have been serious about helping the people in Darfur or other poor, war torn places.

    Shame, Shame Shame
Some body shoots to kill, not mentions Cindy hand and Georgia highly focused.

Monica B: "Hmm! Did Hannity & Rush unleash the hounds."

That's as valid an excuse as blaming Columbine on video games. Just as with Columbine, the sole responsibility for this horrible act belongs with the criminal who commited it.

I would not be at all surprised if the shooter turns out to be another nut warped into hatred by right wing ideology, I hope I'm wrong.

    Mr. Gwatney died today.

Let's take a few moments to think about this loss of life, his loved ones and circle of friends and colleages who are mourning his death.

Both Bill Gwatney and the shooter are dead.

Leave politics out of this senseless tragedy. Anyone who tries to make political points here does so only by EXPLOITING the death of a decent man. Shame on all who do...

I'm so surprised at Obuama supporters wringing their hands and saying this is 'hate' when they are full of hate.

Go have fun with your 'boy'. and dont gripe when he looses. We are tired of hearing 'get over it' so after your 'boy' looses the election. I'll be sitting here saying "Get over it" back at ya!

A man is about ditching the politics for 5 minutes and expressing condolences to the surviving members of the family?

Search the shooter's house. I bet they find books by Hannity, ORiley, Savage and Rush Goonebah!

They preach there hate every day and those who listen to them are mentaly weak people. They rely on them for there information and there daily dose of hate. They feed those who will listen political spin and trash they spew out of there nasty mouths.

All four of them are sick, and should be taken of the air!

Dean is an idiot who listens to him anymore. This is by the hand of the Dems. who wanted Obama in there so bad. I haven't read so many death threats, and now this shooting in any other Presidential election.

Here come all the Marxists that want to outlaw guns so that when they take over our country, no one can challenge their control over our lives.

I said "When" they take over our country, not if because this Election is the forerunner of future attempts by the Radical left and Marxists to take over America. If they are not successful this time they will try again in 2012. Then watch your precious freedoms go away

I hope this man's killing was not politically motivated, if it is, there should be a great outrage through the land.
Well, I might guess wrong since senseless rethuglicans have been making jokes out of Obama's life without prosecution.
