Biden, Bayh get VP night slots at convention

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Biden and Bayh are speaking Wednesday night."]
(CNN) - The two senators widely believed to be at the top of Barack Obama's shortlist for VP have been given prime-time speaking slots at the Democratic convention Wednesday night - the very same night the vice presidential candidate is slated to speak.

According to the Democratic National Convention Committee, both Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh and Delaware Sen. Joe Biden will deliver speeches on national security during the marquee night - the same evening former President Bill Clinton is also scheduled to speak.

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, West Virginia Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and Colorado Sen. Ken Salazar will also speak Wednesday evening, according to the convention committee.

But Biden and Bayh's appearance especially is sure to heighten speculation one of the two senators will ultimately be named Obama's running mate. The announcement also comes the same day Biden hit the campaign trail for the Illinois senator, accepting an endorsement on his behalf from the International Association of Firefighters in Las Vegas.

How do you continue to campaign under the "Change" platform and select 35-year career politican Joe Biden as your running mate?

The PUMA's got OWNED tonight on MSNBC with David Shumer.. He asked tough questions and held his ground as he clocked the PUMA organizer- Darragh Murphy from Boston. She could not have look any worse for her cause and ca,e across as a nitwit. PUMA's only raised $50,000.00 for fighting the DNC and no voice to speak at all.. They got schooled..!! It was one of the best showing on cable news network. Watch for it on youtube or MSNBC wepage.. I'm telling you it was good for Obama supporters and even better to see a PUMA get skinned alive.. for real entertainment tune it in..!

Given the choices, I go for Biden. Perhaps because Evan Bayh didn't campaign, so I don't know his positions too much, but I think Biden and Obama would be a good fit. He would be my 2nd choice after Obama.

YAAAAWWWN! Boring choices. Certainly nothing that would get me, a disgruntled Hillary supporter, to vote for him. If he had any backbone he'd pick Hillary! I guess he isn't strong enough to keep her power in check. Some president he will be. If he can't handle the Clintons, how will he handle foreign policy? God help us.

It does not matter who Obama picks for V.P. In four years, Ron Paul will be our president and re-instate the constitution.

Whose speech will biden plagerize this time? The guy is the biggest phoney. He was caught plagerizing in the 80's and Obama was recently caught plagerizing also – what a team!!! HAHAHA!!! Losers!!!

When does Rezko speak? That is who Obama owes all the political favors to. Will Obama have cocain for all the speakers or will he just smoke it all with his family?

Biden is a joke. He likes to copy phrases from somewhere. he has nothing on hiw own. Also for foreign policy, he is a zero. Those Republican voting for Obama are made. Do not call yourself Republicans. Democrats have lost their way and being financed by George Soros. Barack Obama is a far-left radical. How can we support him. Vote John McCain.

Hillary did not lose, she won the popular vote, Obama was selected by Dean and Pelosi. If it was done honest, then she would be winning the white house, instead, now the idioits are letting the Republicans take back over. This life long dem will be voting for McCain if Hillary doens't get the nomination.

I still do not know how anyone in their right mind would consider voting for John McCain. He is a Republican and from the past 8 years, why would you want someone who is a Republican running the country? They have been no good for anyone except for those in the upper brackets and the oil industry. Regular people have been thrown to the wayside with no care that they are the backbone of our country. Shame on anyone with a grudge that refuses to vote for Obama. He could be the best thing that ever happened to us since the 1990s. Any woman that would vote for McCain knowing how he lacks the ideals of women that want to choose doesn't deserve a decent president. You all need to rethink what you REALLY want for the United States. Saying you could live another four years with a Republican in the White House is like saying you can live another four years without food or water and just wing it until someone threw you a bone to eat.
