McCain camp says Obama's still 'The One'

[cnn-photo-caption image=
caption="The McCain camp released “The One: Road to Denver” Web video Friday."] (CNN) - The One has returned.

John McCain's campaign released a sequel to its Web video about presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama that used footage of Charlton Heston as Moses parting the Red Sea, images of light streaming from the heavens, and a gospel choir to paint Obama as an arrogant politician who bought into near-messianic hype over his candidacy.

They're all back "by popular demand," according to McCain spokesman Brian Rogers - along with new footage of Obama bodysurfing on his recent Hawaiian vacation - in the latest release.

On a day when coverage of the presumptive Republican nominee has been dominated by his inability to immediately recall how many homes he owns, his campaign is hoping that "The One" can save the news cycle.

Earlier: 'They will call him The One,' says McCain Web ad

In 'The One: Road to Denver,' House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is quoted calling Obama "a leader that God has blessed us with at this time," and a recording of Virginia Governor Tim Kaine - a top Democratic VP prospect - is played in which he expresses relief that Obama's call for a cease-fire in Georgia has been heeded.

"His hand guides the world," says the announcer.

"...In Denver, you will see the light," the announcer says later. "He may be 'The One,' but is he ready to lead? No."

John Mcain would you please stop all this non sense, I am a republican too. Show the people that you are Presidential material. If you survived being a POW surely you can get your point across better.
I am sure McCain will be a great leader he certainly made it through POW days.

McCain and Cindy are adulter's. We don't need this man running the country. McCain is a liar, deceiver, cheat, no moral standard and and no integrity.

No Born Again Christian could ever vote for McCain.

Obama would win and The enemies of progress in our country would be put to shame.
Republicans have so far ruined our country, people have lost their home, everything from gas to milk has increased in price, and McCain is talking about THE ONE.
Anyone who would get rid of BUSH and his policies is THE ONE.

OK America. We have to decide. You know we don't like this stuff and we know both parties do it. We have to decide how to punish both sides for this. Staying home out of disgust is not sufficient. I know it's disgusting and a waste of time and more importantly, a denigration of the public. This does not speak well of our Republic and we have to make sure the adults take control. We are those results. This is not about a candidate or an election, it's about whether we're going to allow this country to be run in the ground or not. It's up to us, not Obama or McCain. Not the House or the Senate. It's up to us. It's getting out of hand and WE need to reign it in.

HOW? Educate the ignorant for whom this drivel works. Engage them in being informed citizens that are immune to this stupidity on both sides. DEMAND answers to critical questions and not placations and empty rhetoric regurgitated from last cycle.

If we don't (like the housing bubble), we only have ourselves to blame.

The McCain camp has adapted the same old (negative) strategy enforced by the GOP for the last 8 yrs. Americans will deserve what they get if they fall for it AGAIN, and vote the Republican party back in office.

Obama's campaign needs to turn up the heat, take off the gloves and employ all the necessary tactics to thwart the diabolical efforts of these people who have essentially hijacked the presidency, holding the country at ramsom. How much more is the American people going to tolerate? Have you all not had enough...we'll see.

Pathetic. Any respect I once had for John McCain (and I used to have a lot) has gone completely out the window.

Sorry, but I think that a "joke" the second time around doesn't have the same impact. This is exactly McSame's problem: McSame starting firing his anmution way before time. Now, he is running out of ideas and the elections are more than 2 months away.

    To Observering:

Whoa man, sorry you have a speech impediment, and you don't make much sense. Fear not, when Obama's elected he'll fund education (ed-u-cay-shun) and you'll finally get a chance to better yourself.

That the McCain camp would try this ad again says to me their running scared.

McCain owns 7 houses….. he wants the people of this nation to give him Number 8 at tax payer cost!

McCain also is going to use Tax Payer money to convince Tax Payers to put him in his 8th house!

Just say NO to McCain's 8th home!

Silly Republicans – everyone knows that Neo is The One.

But seriously, these commercials are LAME.
What's wrong with Pelosi saying that God has
blessed us with Obama at this time? Didn't
Bush say that God told him he would be President?

I think this will actually backfire on McCain, as he's
using Christian imagery to ridicule his opponent.
Whatever happend to being blessed and saved, John?
Does being a Christian give you a green light to use
    your faith to mock Obama?

Probably showing a young, fit, active man on the beach is not the contrast McCain wants to highlight.

Now McCain looks desperate. He should know better than this that to use a lame attack ad twice will almost ALWAYS backfire. It was stupid the first time, now it's going to make HIM look stupid the second time. I'm glad the old bast@rd is getting worried.

To all who support Obama: you do realize that the United States is NOT a Socialist country, right? Then why in the world are you supporting a Socialist candidate? That's right, the "Democrat" candidate is always a Socialist.
