Biden charges into Denver

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Biden arrived in Denver Monday and hit the ground running."]

DENVER (CNN) – Joe Biden hit the campaign trail Monday, flying solo for the first time since being named Barack Obama’s running mate and he vowed to run an aggressive campaign.

“You’re running with Obama?” an Obama supporter asked Biden during an appearance at a downtown Denver restaurant where he stopped for a photo-op.

“I'm running with Obama. I'm running for Obama,” Biden told the girl. "We're going to give them the devil."

Biden was accompanied by his wife, three children and his brother Jim as he gripped and grinned his way through the growing crowd.

Biden ignored most reporters’ questions, but when asked if he was surprised that Obama chose him for the number two spot, he responded simply, “I was pleased. I was pleased.”

The Delaware senator eventually made his way to the counter where he ordered five pulled pork sandwiches.

Biden will be in Denver throughout the convention. Tonight, he will attend Michelle Obama’s speech.

    I love Joe Biden!

He was my favorite candidate in the primary, even more than Hillary (but only slightly more)...

He's got a feisty mouth, just like Hillary, and can choke-hold Republicans, just like Hillary and Bill

Biden was my choice in the primaries but we have the idiotic caucuses and you have to have so many supporters or they can't be included. Thats what happened to Biden. Obama has never been my choice , mainly because of all the racist crap and his wife's attitude. In my opinion when your husband is running for President you don't let the whole country know his bad points. Hillary has asked her supporters to unite...what more can she do?? You Obama supporters are so nasty and cruel, do you not realise that not everyone thinks alike and Obama isn't what we want in a POTUS.
Also Obama has lobbyists supporting and donating to him.

By the way, to who ever thought Biden was going to eat all 5 sandwiches, you need to go back and count how many people and kids came with him.

I can't wait for Biden to trip over his big mouth and really get the empty suit Obama in hot water. Between Dean, Pelossi, Reed, Kennedy, and Obama there will be a lot of hot wind in Denver. Biden will turn it into a tornado!

That exactly what we need you to do Senator Biden – show them how it is done. We need that Senator Obama would pick a great VP and we are not disappointed.

McDraft's ads are dispicable tricky lies. Taking soundbites from
Biden and Hillary while they were COMPETING for President!
Young people have time to hear "soundbites" of McCain's tricky
ads. And they believe Obama will RAISE their minimum wage taxes!
Please clear it up, Obama people!!!11

Joe Biden makes sense as Obama's running mate because Biden is what is RIGHT about Washington.

I promise you that if we had 100 Joe Biden's working for the American people in the Senate that our Capital would be much less broken.

Biden gets it and I think we can all but universally agree with that, regardless of what side of the aisle you sit on.

PUMAS demanded experience, well you got it in Joe Biden and easily more than Senator Clinton can claim. PUMAS demanded the candidate that won the most delegates, well you got that too in Barack Obama.
It seems PUMAS got EXACTLY what they wanted on the ticket but are still crying. PUMAS don't have the sense or decency God gave the average rock.

Can't wait until the debates. Watching McCain (who can't think for himself) against Obama should be fun. Don't know who Biden will debate but I'm sure it will be enjoyable as well.

Am I mistaken, or is Biden acting like an excited little schoolgirl who's just been named prom queen? He jumps up on stages and does a full run to the mike and has this permanent grin on his face. I wonder if he will still be grinning when the Obamabot looses. Maybe he can look for another "clean" candidate to attach his fading star to.

Latigo-there are many speakers at the conventions that are not elected officials. Both of John Kerry's daughters spoke at the 2004 convention .

    John Smith- enough already
