[cnn-photo-caption image=http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/images/08/10/art.convention.gi.jpg caption="Hillary Clinton called Michelle Obama the day after her DNC speech."]

(CNN) - Michelle Obama received a phone call after her widely praised speech Monday night - from Hillary Clinton.

The Obama campaign confirms the New York senator reached out to Mrs. Obama after her primetime address to the Democratic convention. The two did not connect, but Clinton left a message.

Clinton will address the convention herself in a highly anticipated speech Tuesday night.

This is the real HIllary, not the one that the media likes to make into a monster. She has been doing everything she has been asked and more. I am proud to have voted for her and will be proud to vote for the Obamas in November!

WONDERFUL! I think it's the MEDIA that's playing up all these "contention" gossip TRASH...

It's the media who is fueling the fire and wants to START some mess.

I don't see the MEDIA calling OUT John McCain for his "kitchen sink" strategy like they did Hillary Clinton. WHY is that?

WHY isn't the MEDIA calling OUT JOHN McCAIN and slamming him about using the SAME kitchen sink dirty tactics????

    HUMMMMM????

There will never be unity. It is not the Clinton style.
However, luckily, it does not matter a bit.
The Clintons are all over. All over.
By the way, Michelle Obama could one day become the first
female President. Now that would be progress.

    Hillary,

One of the best thing you can do to unify the party tonight in your speech is to denounce and condemn the advertisement launched by republican John McCain showing one of your supporter going to vote John McCain in the November elections.

Two very strong women. Exactly what i want my girl to see.

I just don't get it. Republicans used abortion, gay marriage, and immigration to get to the White House 8 and 4 years ago. Did they do anything about it, HECK NO! So, what is it with these evangelicals? Does being a Christian preclude independent thought?

For those women who want to vote for McCain – please go ahead – and watch the rights of women dissipate.

For those in the Military who want to vote for McCain, I hope you are ready to be sent off to war with Russia, because McCain is itching to start war with Russia – He has said all Americans are Georgians.

For those who have fallen under economic hardship, You want to vote for McCain? You ain't seen hardship yet.

Michelle gave a very inspirational speech and her brother was just a dear. To all the cable news anchors who complained that there was so much wasted time: I got tired of wasting my time trying to hear speakers at the podium over your constant yakking. I switched to public television where I could actually HEAR Nancy Pelosi, Claire McCaskill, etc. Maybe tonight you should pay attention to what's begin said on the floor before you criticize it. DUH!

Safe to say Mrs. Clinton left a pleasant message and did not expect Michelle Obama to be quietly sitting by the telephone waiting for phone calls on the opening night of the Democrat Party Convention where her husband will be nominated by the party to run for President. No call blocking. No snub. Mrs. Obama was probably busy with party leaders, party elders, typical convention demands, her children, her mother, etc. Let's not create an issue over a voicemail message.

This is moving in the right direction. I've heard it said that Clinton has been campaigning but it appears as if it were more of a polotonic endorsement of a candidate. I would remind those that feel Senator Clinton's approach is mild it should be noted that Senator Clinton is not a fire and brimstone with trumphet blairing speaker. She is the type of person that you need to listen intently to what she says not rely on the highs and low's of the infliction or tone of her voice.

We will be united, we will be in control of the congress and the White House and we will have progress.

    YES WE CAN

A lot can be done when people are united. A house divided against itself will certainly not stand.

These two women should run together in 2016. I don't care who's on top of the ticket, I'll vote for it. I swear. Two strong women. It might intimidate some people, but no worries. America has come a long, long way. 🙂

Sure, Michelle would not answer the phone. She hates Senator Clinton. Remember, Obama said at the church forum that his wife is his #One Advisor. Make sense why Hillary didn't get the VP spot.
