Obama-Biden bus tour announced

(CNN) – Barack Obama and Joe Biden are set to hit several battleground states following the conclusion of the Democratic Nation Convention Thursday evening, the Obama campaign announced Wednesday.

The tour is dubbed "On the Road to Change,” and will feature stops in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania – all states expected to play a critical roll this fall.

The trip will be the first extended campaign leg featuring Obama and Biden together, as well as both candidates’ spouses.

  1. WHAT?

Oh the irony – people actually think that only McCain is doing the attacking? Have you watched any Obama ads lately? "McCain owns 7 houses" blah blah blah. Well, Obama, you can't identify with the "common-man" either, you are rich, so get over it already.

I'd love to see that bus come through KC – at a time when people can get out and see them.

We are going to loose this election because of PUMA and Obama's unwillingness to slam McCain. That is unless his plan is to gain votes from republicans and indys who do not want to see a trash slinging race. Perhaps he is on to something, perhaps not.

  5. go away mongers- Ventura ca

I think that the bus trip is a great idea. Obama showed great judgement (again) by picking Joe Biden.
All the negative comments about what was said in the primaries will go away– it was an election folks-get over it.
Obama-Biden will usher in a time for our Nation to get some healing-the economy will be better, the war(whim) of king george will be ended, and we will be on our way to regaining our rightful place in the world.
The fear, smear and hate tactics won't work this time.
    NOT THIS TIME!

I call out for a test for McSame and Obama to make sure that we don't wind up with another George Bush. Talk is cheap. Anybody can RAP. I want to know what they know or don't know. Test for the Prez.

I hope they can lay out a good reason for us to choose them. Senator Clinton's speech laid the groundwork for unity, now lets see the two of you build it up, show us a President/V.P. we can unify behind. Show us you REALLY CARE about whats going on in this nation, our economy, affordable health care, our rights to freedom of choice and gay marriage. Show us you can unify us to rebuild what 8 years of the worst administration this nation has known has torn apart and ruined .
We WANT to believe in you Senator Obama and Senator Biden, show us WE CAN!!!!

GO OBAMA/BIDEN it's time for change. This elcetion is simple, if you are better off now than 8 years ago vote Sen McCain. If you think you are worst off now than 8 years ago vote for Sen Obama. Now the state of America is in a mess everything is mess up from A to Z you can fill in the blanks. Go OBAMA/BIDEN

What a great pick for the Obama camp to choose Biden! I have never seen such a diverse and capable Democratic party ever...The environment is key to making real change in the country. I look forward to seeing how well the democrats bring together their strengths and weaknesses. This also includes both open-minded Democrats & Republicans who are willing to be brave enough and fierce enough to break on through to the other side =)

Obama and CLinton agree on 95% of the issues. McCain voted like Bush on 95% of the time. Any Clinton supporter who's gonna vote McCain is a dummy 🙂

"no how, no way, No Mccain"- senator Clinton

    Go Dems 08'

  14. UpsideDownTicket

Remeber that Biden is not the front runner on this ticket. We need to hear from Obama. If he cannot explain himself on issues such as taxes, War, Health Care, Social Security, Housing Market, Jobs etc then Biden was/is a waste.

So far he's done a horribly job on telling us what he's going to do. Saying the word "Change" means nothing. We all have common sense and know that somethings will change. That fact is evident in his (Obama's) poll numbers.

He's needs to talk fast. Not about McCain but about himself and issues we face, otherwise my vote is for McCain.

The more things change the more they stay the same. If we want to preserve the American dream, we must change the power structure in Washington.

Obama/Biden – change we can believe in.

I hope the bus tour is during the republican convention that way we could at least have something less pitiful to watch on tv. How many republican senators now have backed out of coming??

  19. Socialists for Obama

Ah yes, like all rock stars, Obama is going on tour, AND on a bus.

Of course he's bringing his Opening Act with him (Biden).

True to rock star form, there will be many, many fawning groupies (so-called journalists) willing to prostitute themselves in a multitude of indecent positions, backstage and on the bus, too, I'm sure. And they do this, all for a chance to help the flashy rock star achieve platinum status. The fawning press always helps untalented rock stars, you know. Case in point: Springsteen.

And the truly sad part, is the rock star will be achieving it on the merits of a fancy light show and a poorly-written, substance-free, bubble-gum pop song (Britney Spears, anyone?). Bus tour, indeed.

This might be mildly premature, but do you think republicans are the least bit concerned that it is possible a major hurricane may be approaching the Louisiana coast during the middle of their big event next week?

Competing stories and an untimely reminder, wouldn't you think?
